I will never understand adults need to go and be in the picture making a V sign , knowing that the horse is bitey. Why not just take a photo of the horse ? Kids , I get , want to be in the photo , but if your scared , as most of them seem to be , stay away .

I like this rider. He gives the horse lots of rein to do what he wants. So many keep a short rein and pressure on the bit. This guard just let the horse 'assert his boundaries' . No pulling him back or yanking to prevent biting. Wonderful to see. I am wondering if anyone got a good look at the bite?

I had horses from the time I was a baby, bit, kicked thrown off,stepped on many times. Split my head wide open at 9yo getting thrown with my foot stuck in the stirrup, flipped upside down and hit the steel post on the diesel tank with my head, I barely cried.
The horse was obviously not happy with people getting close or petting it. They all laughed the horse's warnings off until one of them got actually bit. Like if a horse has its ears that pinned back when they see you they don't really wanna see you just back off

The woman seemed to ramp up the drama when more people came over to see. Slowest faint I’ve ever seen. She stood there, then crouched down and then “fainted” Usually if you feel faint you get no warning. She had time to talk to people and get down close to the ground. Then fainted? I don’t believe it.

I had this happen when my dog was a puppy. We live in a tourist city. I have an English Springer Spaniel. Very excited and hyper dogs, especially when they are puppies. She was in her land shark phase and getting used to going out for walks. Purposely walked her to the cathedral and castle, to get her used to crowds. A couple of Japanese girls ran up to us, phones out, giggling very loudly, attempting to take a selfie with my puppy. Then they got too close and my puppy got hold of her scarf. I didn't apologise, because they didn't even ask me if they could take a photo of my puppy. I got the scarf off her and gave it back. But she was looking upset by it. I just shrugged and said, she is a Springer spaniel puppy. 😂

That was one of the best (or worse depending on your view point) bites I've seen. These are working horses, they are not seaside donkeys, leave the animals alone and respect their working space.

A horse is not an object or a prop. Acknowledge him as living, sensitive being. Ask his permission to approach by lowering your head slightly. If he is receptive he will lower his head and/ or his ears will be forward. If his ears are back and/ or if he raises his head, stay away.

Guard remains unperturbed. Rightly so. In the moments up to the bite you could almost see him counting down. Anyone with half a braincell and knowing the difference between a poodle and a horse could see this coming. Of course, as a tourist it is nice to have your picture taken there. I've done it myself when I was in London. But if you see that the horse and/or the guard is annoyed: stay clear. It's not that difficult.

It's likely broken her arm. A horse has a very, very strong bite (about 3x that of a pit bull).

This horse is smarter than most of peoples among him.
Most of the tourists will stand back and watch the mood of the horse first before rushing in. Some foolish one's do not!! The horse's are beautiful and some need their space.
Some get bit...some don't. Horse can sense people's energy.
The rule should be NOT TO TOUCH THE HORSES AT ALL
So she watched all the other tourists nearly getting bitten and still decided to stand near the horse for a photo and was shocked when it bit her.
If you watch the horse, it was warning everyone in that group and not one of them noticed. She was just the unlucky one who got the brunt of the horses annoyance at being approached that way, show them respect, walk slowly and don't try to touch them! It really is that simple!
