    Anfield Wrap put prices up by a whopping 40% for the basic audio, from 5 to 7 quid.

      So where now going to compare Liverpools finances with that of an independent fan medias finance are we? yeah that seems balanced and reasonable 🤣.

    FSG use the fans to market the club and sell products. The amount of products and merchandise in the club shop that uses YNWA and other songs created and sang by fans is astounding. But then the club continues to exploit and squeeze what they can out of the fans. Similar to how players receive a cut of the merchandise sold that uses their name and image, fans should also receive a cut of everything and that is then used to reduce the price of tickets.

    • @anthonyashcroft1172
      @anthonyashcroft1172 13 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Exploit haha
      It's quite simple buy merchandise or don't, it's a choice it's not a betting addiction

      @@anthonyashcroft1172 FSG happy to use images and songs by fans to sell products and market the club, but then also raising prices of those tickets for fans is by definition, exploitation. What are you going on about betting addictions.

      This is a good point, probably most here don't follow Bundesliga but there's a similar thing here which you reminded me of, the DFL and other football organisations use German fans, how great the atmosphere is, the amazing Tifos, Flairs and what not that get used on Matchdays and create a nice atmosphere to Advertise the ''Product'', especially in foreign countries to increase revenue and profits of the clubs and these organisations.
      Yet at the same time recently these organisations and many higher-ups at Bundesliga clubs desperately tried to push in American hedge fund or equity investment firms who wanted to buy 10-20% of Bundesliga TV Rights for 20 years, which most fans rejected from the start and especially active, match-going fans, still they tried for months on end to push it through, made propaganda, mislead and manipulated everyone until this whole thing finally collapsed. It's an absolute Joke!

    People moaning about prices going up, yet same folks still want the club to win things and get the very best players. How exactly do they do that when competing against state nation clubs who are paying huge salaries and agent fees, perhaps sums we dont even know about? Bringing through young players takes time and inconsistant results. If someone has the answer, then please do share...

    Guys, I usually love your content but enough about the tickets prices.
    You’ve got over 90k subscribers so it’s safe to assume at least half of your viewers aren’t regular ticket holders, who would bite your hand off for the opportunity to visit Anfield on a regular basis.
    It would cost me at least $5k to fly over there and see one game live. I’d be happy just to see a game live, not at 3am.
    So many of your subscribers are the same so I’m sure you can understand how we don’t wanna hear this shit about 2% more than too much.. you get to go!
    Maybe use a different medium to press this point is all I’m saying because in the same way LFC are pushing you away, you’re pushing me away.

    there's no good football financial based commentary out there, and this certainly isn't it. Bit surprised a journalist can be as poor as this guy and John's all at sea too. the FFP/PSR discussion was hilariously bad, this was worse than pub talk.
    As for ticket prices, I've no idea if they should be £20 or £120, but if you want fairness they should rise by a proportion of cost rises, getting other parts of revenue to do the heaviest lifting. But there would be another demonstration against that.
    Zero point in talking to the fans because their position is always going to be NO to cost risees.
    Thank god the owners know how to keep the club competitive without an oil well. Intrigued by the new club thing, hope that proves to be very valuable for us. Bit odd that we've got a new Sporting Director AND a new assistant sporting director. especially as we don't have big recruitment requirements. Maybe that portuguese block hasn't come aboard?

    I find it incredulous and infuriating that anyone is whinging about ticket prices. If you don’t like the 2% rise give up your season ticket because there are plenty of proper fans wanting to buy season tickets who would happily pay 25% more if they could get one and that would give the club more money to buy better players.

    • @RayyFinkle
      @RayyFinkle 13 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      “Proper fans” just being ones who can afford it then?

    • @themanofmead5273
      @themanofmead5273 13 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@RayyFinkle there can be proper fans who can afford to go to matches and there can be proper fans who cannot. It’s unfortunate but that is how the world is. The point is nobody is forcing fans to pay the price. Different fans have different opinions about what price is “fair”. All of the Anfield Wraps approach comes from a basic assumption that prices are too high. That is a flawed assumption when there is a waiting list of thousands who want to buy tickets but cannot.
