I miss the old SJD - the old house, the old CRV, the daily vlog, the shoe reviews... this channel got me through the pandemic. Still watching, and will watch until the very end. Goal this year is to run a sub-20 5k and MAYBE run my first marathon this October. Love you Seth.
@@SethJamesDeMoor Oh and I forgot to mention the most important one of all... THE OLD SHOEDIO!!!! Seth, keep up the great work. Best wishes to you and the family. And if you want my unsolicited request.... GIVE THE SUB-2:20 MARATHON ONE MORE SHOT. WE ALL KNOW YOU HAVE IT IN YOU. Amen.
Happy you made it through and it’s great to hear you have big plans for 2025. I hope you knock them all out of the park. I personally enjoy a lot of your videos. It’s fun to see someone putting it all together and pushing through different aspects of accomplishing a goal. That being said, the channel definitely does have a different feel now. That’s okay too in my opinion. What I think some people are trying to convey though is that your channel used to have a particular structure and focus that drew people in, kept them intrigued about the next episode, and made them feel part of something that was ongoing. I think for some folks, it’s now more challenging to figure out what the channel is about and what they are tuning in to see. The FKT videos and races are basically what I check in for now, but honestly there’s lots of pros, shoe brands, and teams that post high quality videos like that too. So, it’s easy to get pulled in other directions if that’s what you are looking for. At the end of the day, I think you have one of coolest personalities on TH-cam. You are just fun, so I will probably always stop by here and there to see what you are up to, but I think some others probably feel like they lost a bit of something they really liked and counted on and may not be conveying that in the best way. Either way, keep doing you Seth and I hope 2025 is a great one. 👍🏾
Great inspirational video Seth! I've been a follower for a long time. I'm 61. 25+ years running . The best thing about running, is you get to know your body! It's a magical machine that can adapt to almost anything . 10 marathons in the books with Numerous halfs, 10ks and 5ks. Once it gets in the blood, it's over! The running bug gets implanted into the brain! The biggest addiction on the planet! Happy New Year!
I understand the tough year part. I had a tough year as well. Injuries, career challenges and changes, family, finances, outside factors… I get it. I wasn’t motivated to create any content. In general, I’ve felt unmotivated. Running was my only constant, but injuries plagued me throughout the year, and most were not running related… getting older kind of sucks. Anyways, I hope you hit your goals for 2025, as well as any channel goals for 2025. We’ll be cheering you on.
Hey Seth! 2024 was definitely a tough year for my household as well. We have never been more excited to start a new year, new dreams, new goals with a new deeper prayer focus. Peace be with you in the new year!
Thanks for the update Seth, it’s encouraging to hear that you are working through adversity and pushing forward. In 2024, I ran 2875 miles and ran the Monumental Marathon in Indianapolis in 3:04. My goals for 2025 are 3000 miles and sub 3hrs in a marathon.
Hey Seth...thank's for the newest check in. I am 75.8, started running in 1977 and have mostly enjoyed the run through now. Around 2016 I began experiencing breathing issues during any running which caused me to need to stop and walk and to resume running when able. This situation stopped me from entering any races and was firstly misdiagnosed as exercise induced asthma. I took meds for 2 years for the EIA which only helped me to lose my taste sense. I was not improving with the breathing issue. I finally was referred to cardiology where I got the more accurate diagnosis of Sick Sinus Syndrome which means that my heart was not pumping the blood as it should under the stress of running. I would need a pace maker to assist and correct the issue during exercise. Also the dr said that if I did not get the PM I could black out at any time down the road even if I was not running or exercising. Now I have adopted the run-walk system because I still have the need to walk to recover but the heart issue or disease is in control, albeit my resting HR is always 60. I was fortunate to rw 612 miles this year which is around half of what I averaged for the previous 40 years. My goal for 2025 is to do 25% more miles and to improve the ratio of time for the run-walk before I have to walk. My current best pace per mile is around 12:00. Prior to my handicap it was 7:30/mi. average in zone 2. Traverse City, Michigan has a half in May which is fast and scenic.
My A race is the 215-mile Race Across Scotland. At age 61, planning on competing in the Southern States 200 in March followed by several alpine races and longer training runs. Spent the last year ramping up my strength training to handle longer ultras. Godspeed my friend!
I managed to PB at 5K, 10K, Half Marathon and Marathon in 2024, but I didn't achieve the goal I set out with. I wanted a sub-3 marathon, but ran 03:02:47 in London in April and 03:00:40 in Abingdon in October. But we'll keep pushing, this April in Manchester the bread will be buttered!!
Seth, thank you as always for the inspiration. Last year as a 52 year old runner I changed my diet, found my fitness again, and PR'd in 5k distance. My goal in 2025 is to continue gains (small sustainable growth) and get the 5k to sub 20:00. Best wishes to the family for a Blessed New Year.

Seth, your uploads became even more special to me after you stopped daily vlogs. Will always watch. Btw, I'd love to see you get back on the skyline traverse this year. My goals are sub 4 boulder skyline, sub 3 PPA, and rainier in a day!
One of my running goals for 2024 was to run my first 100 mile race. I did that and completed the UTE 100 in the La Sal mountains near Moab. I had a great experience! I also wanted to grow my own channel with new content, views/subscribers, and shared ultra races. On a personal note, I set a goal to earn a job promotion. I was also able to achieve that (new job at a different company). I'm looking forward to running, TH-cam, and life in 2025! Should be an epic year!!!
THIS I love to read. THANK YOU for understanding, truly means a lot. Shoes, are frankly not inspiring to me. Seeking beauty and suffering is inspiring to me. Which I will film more of for YOU in2025! Thanks sir.
My goal was to run a sub 4 at Chicago marathon, but it didn't work out. I ended getting a 4:27 but I got the opportunity to run the Amsterdam marathon a week after and I was able to run a 4:03 so that was great. Didn't get my birthday mile PR. So 2025 is the year for both
Excellent video Seth, I’ve been subscribed to you for around 5years or more, I’ll always watch your videos because you are a very interesting person, awesome runner, great family, Top quality filming videos, congrats Seth on a pretty amazing year 2024 winning two races & FKTs awesome!, was a good & not so good year, was injured beginning of the year with knee, but still managed to do all the races I wrote out on the race calendar, except for one Marathon I wanted to do in December, wasn’t meant to be. Did 5 half marathons & a 5k came first in my age group in the last half marathon Kapiti half, I’ve been watching Seth’s videos on my iPad & Computer for the last 5 years, just bought a big screen TV whole different experience watching Seth’s videos & other running videos on the big screen, thanks Seth & family for the inspiring work you do, yeppp! Good luck for 2025!!! 🥳☔️🦦👏👍🏼🦌🌲👍🌴🌲😀
2024 was a great year for me. Became a 6 Star finisher and ran another marathon PR! For 2025, my goals are to run 2600 miles, sub 2:55 marathon, stay injury free, and have fun!
I started 2024 with a goal to run 1000 miles. I was running 3 miles a day on the treadmill for the first month and then decided to start signing up for some races. I won a local 5k, ran a sub 1:30 Half Marathon and ran 3:00:19 in a full marathon in October. After the marathon I decided to try to run 2024 miles for the year and completed that goal on December 31st. In 2025 I'm going to try to break 17 minutes in the 5k and 3 hours in the marathon. Those are my main goals.
Seth, maybe you can film the training and the build up to the races. Not every single workout of course, but I think it’s gonna generate hype for the event. Anyhow, I hope you and true love have a fantastic year! 🎉
No daily vlog, no shoe reviews but I'm still here for the personal touch and being apart of DGR! My 2025 goal is to return to running after ATFL and CFL ligament tears in June. The target is to make it back in time for the Chicago Marathon in Oct.
Thanks for sharing your 2024 & 2025 goals Seth. I look forward in following your posts this Year. As to my own goals: I completed my first 100+ miler in 2024, the LLCR, Leeds to Liverpool (UK) canal race, 130 miles. In 2025 I hope to complete the 3 Canal Races trilogy: London to Birmigham, 145 miles, London to Bristol 145 miles and Leeds to Liverpool 130 miles.
Good luck with your 2025 goals! You got this :) No goals to speak of in 2024 since I spent the first half of it pregnant so really my only plan was to stay fit which I’m glad to say I did. 2025’s goal really is only to just to kick this plantar fasciitis to the curb and start running again 😊
2024- run the Chicago marathon with sub 4 hr slipped on a rug and had to have ACL surgery 2 weeks prior to the race 2025- the comeback year and run the NYC marathon started 2025 13 weeks post op of surgery
I became a dad for the first time this year so I had a loooot of adjusting to do to mix runners life and dad life 😅. Getting to grips with not being as fast as I was for a while was tough but we’re looking ahead to a spring marathon and we’re gunning for sub 3:20. My main goal is to be the best dad I can be and still feel the love of running in whatever form it ends up taking in 2025.
2024 Goals: 1. Miss: 1,500 miles, ran 1,305. 2. Hit: Sub 44’ 10K, ran 42:41 (new PR). 3. Miss: Top 5 overall finish at DSACO 10K race, finished 7th. 4. Miss: Run 6+ Half Marathons (race or TT), ran 3. 2025 Goals: 1. Run 1,500 miles 2. Sub 42’ 10K (race on 2/2/25) 3. Run 6+ Half Marathons (race or TT) 4. Sub 1:35 Half Marathon (race or TT)
QOD: I had a doozy of a year for 2024. Spent most of the year running easy and nursing leg problems. My big goal was a sub 5 bday mile. Ended up running 5:14 at 39 yrs old, which tied my bday mile from 2023 at 38. So a year old but not slower. 2025 I’m hoping for some redemption and will be shooting for a big PR in the half marathon in NYC in March, going sub 5 in the bday mile at age 40 and finally hitting the marathon distance or farther in a single run. The last one is a big one since I’ve been attempting to run a marathon for the past 5 years but have been plague with injuries along the way.
2025 goals is health for me. Thats it. 2024 was rough and I am hoping 2025 I can back to feeling better. Maybe just 5-10 minutes of running at the start. I will be very thankful if I can do that.
QOD: Hit all my running goals this year! Wanted a sub 17 5k ✅ 36 minute 10k ✅ 81 min Half ✅ Goals for 2025 is to get a 2.50 Marathon and a sub 80 Half.. Got a second child on the way in June so my other goal is just to maintain some sort of running! Have a great year Seth!!
I have a 50miler in March. I would really just like to get back to where I was a couple of years ago. I didn’t start running until I was 38 and I will be 47 tomorrow. I just want it to be a daily habit again. I know I have much more work to do if I don’t want to die on that trail in March😂
Shoedio 2.0 baby!!! My goal is to build back that engine! Promised my wife no races in 2026. 2025 was rough on us as well. Ran a whopping 370 total miles for the entire year. With a 34 mile ultra being almost 10% of the year’s total mileage. 😬😬
Seth- I highly recommend the half marathon of the Shamrock Marathon weekend (Virginia Beach). it's in mid March and is incredibly fast! Pancake flat (maybe 30 ft gain total), great weather, good competition. My half marathon PR is from there.
@SethJamesDeMoor the only downside is that the course record is 1:06, so not quite at your level. I guess you have a good shot at a win and a course record. Maybe if you put a shout out some better runners will show up.
Hey Seth, great video. I think the reason people may not be happy with the channel is that they feel they’ve lost connection with you. Videos like this help DGR to understand the bigger picture, which to be honest, hasn’t been clear as of late. Understandable, but it what it is. I still think you should do shoe reviews, as you were the best 😊, but I would never stop watching. My goal for 2025 is to finish my first 100K. Attempted twice in 2024 but came up short both times for different reasons. Any business goals for you? The Demoor store?
Understood Scott. Unless someone watches EVERY SINGLE VIDEO, they will be a little lost, which I realize people don't have time for that. I always appreciate words from folks like you who care. Onward and Upward.
Appreciating the old school Shoedio vibe!!! Are you up to giving Sacramento another shot? Shamrock 1/2 in Sacramento on 3/16. The course is flat and far friendlier than the deceptive CIM course.
I still watch the channel, even without shoe reviews. My goal for 2025 is to give up smoking so I can run better and faster . 48 years old but still doing 40km per week. Need to up that to destroy this filthy habit of mine. 😢
Just a question regarding your goal number 1, what is the metric to know you accomplish it? Is it simply a number of visits or is it a physical improvement you gauge?
Good question. Both, as they correlate, but if I could only choose one, it would be ‘physical improvement.’ The old adage of quality of quantity. :DGR:
QD: GOALS 2024: stay injury free, complete the most difficult Ultra Trail in my homecountry Austria (Großglockner Ultra Trail-GGUT, 110K, 6500m+), finish a 6 day self supported 270km panoramic alpine trail in Austria (registered at FKT as Hohe Tauern Panorama Trail), reach 3500K. My goals for 2025: stay injury free, only compete in ultra trails (it will be 4), finish my first 100miler in Austria (KAT100, 173km, 9900m+), do more self supported adventures on the trails, do more strenth/flexibility workouts, no road marathon or short distance pressure mixed in, enjoy this trail sabbatical. Greetings from AUSTRIA!!!
I fell off in 2024. Keep running everyday (NDO) but volume drop to half. No racing aside of pa king LA Marathon 2:55 finish. 2025, looking for 3k miles YTD with more races on the calendar.
Whats the real purpose of your vlog Seth? It is not to inspire runners, it is not to give us information about running shoes and running gears… I genuinely ask this question without and hope for a honest answer… you are an amazing person, but why should we keep watching the vlog?
What makes the channel is Seth.... not frequency or gear. Keep up the inspiring work Seth! God bless you and your family this year.
Respect to you! Happy New Year. Appreciate you being here.

Congrats on becoming a dad! You'll figure out at life balance (I've got 4 kiddos). Good luck!
That is awesome! The best outlook you could have. Congrats.
Thank you for the Spark.
❤️

3. Miss: Top 5 overall finish at DSACO 10K race, finished 7th.
4. Miss: Run 6+ Half Marathons (race or TT), ran 3.
2025 Goals:
1. Run 1,500 miles
2. Sub 42’ 10K (race on 2/2/25)
3. Run 6+ Half Marathons (race or TT)
Blessings to you Janet! Love and respect always!
QOD: Hit all my running goals this year! Wanted a sub 17 5k ✅ 36 minute 10k ✅ 81 min Half ✅
Goals for 2025 is to get a 2.50 Marathon and a sub 80 Half..
YOU GOT THIS!!!
You should consider running some of the USATF masters championships after you turn 40
Yearly goals over here are 1500 training miles, 5k and 10 mile PRs, and 50 books finished.
Mike!
Happy New Years!
Carol! Happy New Year ! I hope all is well in TX!
Shoedio 2.0 baby!!! My goal is to build back that engine! Promised my wife no races in 2026. 2025 was rough on us as well. Ran a whopping 370 total miles for the entire year. With a 34 mile ultra being almost 10% of the year’s total mileage. 😬😬
2.0!!!
Let’s goooooo
2025 goals?
For my 50 years old ( 2024 ) wanted a BQ ( did it ) - 2025 now i want to qualify for the NYC half marathon 👊
CONGRATS big time Michel
Sounds like you guys went thru it last year, yikes! Prayers for your beautiful family 🙏
Rough. But we’re rising back up! Thanks for being here.
I've got my copy of Once A Runner signed personally from John L. Parker
Ok, you're winning the day!
@SethJamesDeMoor Thanks
I really miss your daily Vlog and shoes review....I hope you'll be back one day!
My goal is to shake off my current hip flexor issue and start training again.
hope it heals quick
Looks like shoedio 2.0. Like it😊
Seth- I highly recommend the half marathon of the Shamrock Marathon weekend (Virginia Beach). it's in mid March and is incredibly fast! Pancake flat (maybe 30 ft gain total), great weather, good competition. My half marathon PR is from there.
THANK YOU! Looking it up now.
Appreciate you Jon! 2026… maybe for a marathon
Loved the experience of CIM, maybe go back, especially since I know the course now.
I still watch the channel, even without shoe reviews. My goal for 2025 is to give up smoking so I can run better and faster . 48 years old but still doing 40km per week. Need to up that to destroy this filthy habit of mine. 😢
Thanks Paul 🫡
Just a question regarding your goal number 1, what is the metric to know you accomplish it? Is it simply a number of visits or is it a physical improvement you gauge?
Good question. Both, as they correlate, but if I could only choose one, it would be ‘physical improvement.’ The old adage of quality of quantity. :DGR:
@ thanks
2025 goals: break 14:30 in the 5000m and 4:20 in the mile + get accepted into physical therapy school
DYLAN!!! Great goals right there!!!
You got this!
My 2024 running goals were 2,024 miles ✅ and qualify for Boston 🚫 They're pretty much the same for 2025: 2,025 miles and qualify for Boston! 🙌🏻
Amber!!!
My goal for 2024 was running a 5k without stop ✅
My goal for 2025 is continue running for my mental health 💪🏻🏃🏻♂️➡️

Your shoe reviews were awesome… but really your vlogs were inspirational…u don’t have to be a daily blogger… less frequent would also be great
I accomplished my 3,500 mile goal!
Let’s gooooooooooooo
No ultra planned?
No sir.
I just want to get healthy!!!
success?
❤
Happy New Year
@@SethJamesDeMoor happy new year to you and your fam seth!!, may God bless you more this year❤️
Sub 3:30 marathon. God bless
2025 goals
Stay healthy and happy
Sub 2:40 marathon
Impressive! Amen to the goals
I actually find it crazy, weird even stupid that not all people run.
Whats the real purpose of your vlog Seth? It is not to inspire runners, it is not to give us information about running shoes and running gears… I genuinely ask this question without and hope for a honest answer… you are an amazing person, but why should we keep watching the vlog?
I love making videos, so I'll keep at it.
I've come to terms with the absence of running reviews, but at least tell us what you're running in and why.
Yes sir! More deets soon.
Happy New Year, Seth and Family!!!
Happy new year!
