Nice to see the sidewinder is still going i built one 20 years ago the front geometry has improved i found using a, full prolink swing arm,and shock in the rear was much better for handling and saved building one it fitted very easlly from a XR 500. Nice work looks great
the very very very best buggy video ever made! thank you for this video. Im in the middle of making something simular and im realy glad for you. realy good job on buggy and video!
Ahh reminds me of my sidewinder with KX500. Ball tearer but ripped the think apart. Cracked engine mounts and rear swing arm. More fun with Raptor 660 now with elec start and reverse. Your buggy looks very nice!
Hey Chad, nice buggy you made!! I just started building the sidewinder, finished the arms and also got al the frame pieces done. Just have to weld them to gether to complete the frame. But im 1,83cm tall, (6foot) do you think i should extend the frame? the bodem frame and upper frame and rolbars are already done, but i can still take them apart and extend them if i realy want.
Dude, sweet ride! To me, this video would have been so much better if you would have just started it up and ripped up and down the road a few times! Very nice work you did, that is a sweet machine. I was hoping to hear it go a few times though!
Because of the side mounted engine, the Edge Sidewinder buggy is best suited to lightweight single cylinder powerplants. Four cylinder sportbike engines are suitable for the next model up, the Edge Piranha buggy, which has the engine mounted behind the driver.
Buy them yourself. Companies get mad if people pass around plans for free. They run for $33.96 USD for digital plans, $86.00 USD for a printed book. It's the Edge Sidewinder Plus.
Hey they, I love this sidewinder, and I am considering making one similar, but with a 125 engine... Do you think it would be alright to use a 125 until maybe I can afford a bigger engine?
hey mate, i think you will need a bigger engine than a 125, but maybe you could do all the testing with the 125 and get it ready for the bigger engine. You just have to keep in mind how much stress your going to be putting the 125 under. If you were to gear it right you might be alright but it wont go very fast. Might be worth saving a bit longer for the big engine man.
It would be pretty fast! I have a much slower 100cc gokart which isn't as heavy but in comparison I think a 125 would handle it. And yeah somehow that 100cc engine will not die!! No matter what you put it through.. Haha thanks man appreciate it!
i have two of these buggies 1 with ktm 690 engine and 1 with ktm 640 lc4 engine in them thinking of changing for two stroke motor is that what you are running in yours?
Out of all the buggies I would love a shot of is the hayabusa engine in a buggies then it would be a 2stroke buggy that Yamaha zy490 that would be a blast
I know it's been said but seriously dude... What's with the music when you have a magnificent 2 stroke 490 engine?... and have you even driven it properly?... Or do you just take photos of it? great build but I was disappointed you didn't open her up for us.
hello my name mamadou I live in Senegal in Africa I would like to build a sidewinder buggy but I have no plans , and I wonder if you could send me yours
Graduation..... not sure who by though, if you look at my comments on the vid to the right of it you can click on the sound track and get all the info you need.
I feel like i never got a good look at it i swear. Wierd considering all of them zooming in and out shots, could "see" it actually go neather for fuck sakes give me it.
Beautiful craftmanship

Is it a hard build?
can we use them on the street in las vegas
The steel is 40mm by 40mm by 2.5mm rectangular hollow section (mild steel)
The music completely ruined the video.. Do you have one without?
mute it, and watch the vid while playing your favorite song in another tab. problem solved.
Good Lord! We want to hear the engine! Not some crazy rave music blasting WTF.
what tensioner are u running on that?
Matthew Mcquillan the one the edge runs, I’m pretty sure it comes with the plans when your building it
Why do the front hubs not have any privet points? with no privet points you miss up the camber.
all turns into negative camber quite good for turning .

Thats not the intake on the side thats for cooling the engine, the intake runs up the back of the frame, he explains this in another video
Dang I want to hear it but all I can hear is this stupid music.
