    Shit, why haven't I seen your chanel before? I coulda done with watching this 3 months ago.
    Good stuff bloke, I like your philosophy & your attitude.
    Very interesting watching you stretch that Creedy out to 2000 yrds on another of your vids.
    Good stuff. We aint all millionaires &, knowing how another battler gets good results is golden stuff.
    Keep up the excellent work, I'll be watching & listening.

    Best real world shooting channel on the web... I always liked the fact that you use logic, physics, and attention to detail for shooting, and actually showing how it's done, instead of how many other channels simply throw as much money at shooting as possible.. I laugh at some channels that refer to elr as 1,000yds and swear you need around $20,000 to do it..

    Just want to say you guys are amazing. I've been watching your videos for a few months now and just realized I wasn't subscribed! I am now and I hope you keep up these awesome videos. You've even helped me decide on a general hunting/target shooting rifle. Remington 700lr in 7mm mag. It's big enough to get the job done on just about anything in North America without beating you up and inheritantly accurate enough to help ensure good shot placement for a clean kill for a beginner

    I love your no-compromise budget approach and I'm learning a lot just by seeing how you do what you do, and why.
    I built a 308 rifle several years ago from a Howa 1500 heavy barrel action and I also chose a Sightron scope for the same reasons you did - good quality at a value price. So I had a Japanese rifle with Japanese glass. I don't shoot ELR like you do. I'd like to, but the local terrain makes that difficult. Maybe someday. But the Howa .308 is more accurate than I am.
    I just bought a Howa HCR in 6.5 Creedmoor. I haven't picked it up yet at the gun store, but I'm looking forward to putting it through its paces. Until then, I'm binge watching your videos in this series. Thank you for these excellent videos.

    This is right up my alley. I upgraded to the HCR. It arrives on the 18th. Harris 6-9" and NF BR 12-42x56 is already waiting for it. Same die set should be here in a couple days. No shortage of brass for them at the shops on the east coast. Nice shirt by the way

    mark would love to hear more about how you chose bullets for transonic stability. Iam looking at bullets for my 6.5x47l and the norma 130g golden target bullet is the highest bc 130g 6.5 bullet i have found. I have seen a comment on a forum that it tumbles when going transonic. What makes you chose a certain bullet for transonic stability?

    • @markandsamafterwork
      @markandsamafterwork  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, I don't use any formula, I select a descent projectile and try, for the most part that has worked well. I do how ever mainly use Bergers, they tend to be good, maybe some other brands are not so good. FYI the best BC is not always the best choice, there are a few other things to consider depending what you are doing, but nothing like doing a bit of testing to see how they work in your rifle in the real world, Cheers

    Great idea guys, like what your doing here (little disappointed you didnt go 260 but im biased). I was wondering are you going to run this "as assembled" without any of your accurising steps such as bedding, your bag rider and brake combination? I think it would be interesting to see whats achievable with a largely stock gun and how it can be improved with a few achievable modifications. Great video guys this is going to be good

  • @HighPriestVaticanAssasin
    @HighPriestVaticanAssasin 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm defiantly considering either a howas barreled action 223 or savage hog hunter and dropping it into a bell and Carlson target competition.

    • @markandsamafterwork
      @markandsamafterwork  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes a Bell and Carlson would be a great option, Cheers

    • @HighPriestVaticanAssasin
      @HighPriestVaticanAssasin 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      MarkandSam AfterWork really liking the newer "target/competition" stock they've come out with. originally only for R700s but they got the idea pretty quick and made it available for Savages, Howas and I think Tikka among maybe a few others. been waiting for a stock like that w/ adjustable comb in that price range for quite awhile. No more building up the comb with foam and athletic tape. Now just trying to decide between a Howa or Savage for a 20" .223. nice short handy farm gun, eventually a surpressor host as well if all goes to plan. Now other than Tikka they need to speed up their .223 twist rates a bit.

    i know you may have touched on this before , I've just tuned into your channel excellent stuff. I,m pretty keen on a build using a good old 6.5x55 s, how do you thing it would measure up against the Creedmore or .260? And also have you noticed any difference in recoil, shoulders shot and i hear the Swede give a bit more of a boot if you were in for a long session. Thanks again and im glad you used the Howa very underrated rifles.

    • @markandsamafterwork
      @markandsamafterwork  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Man, glad you enjoyed, as for those cals, really not much more than obvious, 260 and 6.5 Creedmoor are really too close to call much difference and the Swede has a bit more power with a little more kick, depending on set up, so really comes down to what you are doing with it as to which is more suited to your needs, Cheers

    What are your thoughts of all the new long range precision rifles in the chassis systems. Like howa ruger tikka burgara or something like that? I'm new into long range and I definitely want the 6.5. My friend is an outstanding shooter and reloads in that caliber. I love the chassis systems so my question is are they worth the 1,500 to 2,000$

    • @markandsamafterwork
      @markandsamafterwork  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Some Chassis's are good, some not, also depends on how you like shooting with them, in different applications they have some advantages, for ELR shooting it would be as much about looks as anything, a chassis will not out shoot a Stock if both are set up right. Cheers

All the info I can find on the web suggests the 6.5 creed is 1-8 not 1-9 on a Howa outfit.Love your channel and all the info that comes with it. I definitely need one of these too.
