I didn't ever realize that some one can take their thoughts, put them into words that turn into a song and then send it out on the airways and wrap them around your heart and give it a big hug of love. This little lady can literally squeeze tears out of you that you didn't think you still had. I thought that I lost all my tears with the loss of so many close ones to me, but this beautiful little Angel proved me wrong time and again . I absolutely love her from the bottom of my heart!!!
Loss is common to everyone and is experienced in so many ways. I too was and still am moved to tears listening to this song. Each time I process different losses in my life including loss of faith. First, because of the excitement over the release of Angelina's first single from Republic Records. Second, because of the sheer beauty of "Million Miles" - the music, the lyrics, the production quality and, most importantly, Angelina's astounding voice! Third, I went back to reminisce with some of my favorite reactors over the years (including you). Although I had viewed these reactions many, many times in the past, watching them now in light of this important milestone in Angelina's life and career was very emotional for me. I felt like a father paging through the family photo album just after giving his daughter away at her wedding. The poignant memories about Angelina's youth are now colored with the knowledge that she has grown up and taken a huge step in her life. I was full of emotion when I heard the song but then when I saw the video, I was on emotional overload. This was so well done and it had the mark of her family all over it.
So just to be clear. Angelina has written an all time classic. Literally first record as a proper recording artists and she has absolutely smashed it out of the park. And a big shout out for Republic records. They have done a masterful job of producing the music for her and mixed it to perfection. That's about as good a debut single as its possible to find. Wow, what a heart-wrenching song so beautifully written and performed by Angelina in memory of her Grandfather. This brought tears to my eyes thinking of my dad who passed in 2017. This is definitely a Number One hit single the first of many for this amazing young singer/songwriter.

I’m another one who thought I had cried myself out listening to this song dozens of times yesterday. Then you mentioned the Covid connection. It’s so true. So many kids have lost their grandparents to that virus. So many grandparents won’t get to see their kid graduate from high school or university, won’t get to see them get married or achieve their dreams. This song doesn’t just recognize those losses but offers a beacon of hope. That is exactly the kind of thing someone like Angelina Jordan would want to do. I don’t think that angle was lost on her or Republic records. I don’t think the choice of this as her first single to be released was an accident. I’ve watched a lot of reactions and, of the ones that I have seen, you were the only one who has picked up on this. Whether the connection was deliberate or not on the part of Angelina and Republic, I think it was a very poignant observation.

Angelina has said since she was very young, she wanted to sing to make people happy. With this song, she's bringing some sort of comfort to all of us who've lost dear ones and tells us "we are never alone". What a magical message in this age and time 💖

I was full of emotion when I heard the song but then when I saw the video, I was on emotional overload. This was so well done and it had the mark of her family all over it.
So just to be clear. Angelina has written an all time classic. Literally first record as a proper recording artists and she has absolutely smashed it out of the park.
And a big shout out for Republic records. They have done a masterful job of producing the music for her and mixed it to perfection. That's about as good a debut single as its possible to find. She's a born Superstar. Fantastic song perfectly sung and a lovely little lyric video. Brilliant.

Wow, what a heart-wrenching song so beautifully written and performed by Angelina in memory of her Grandfather. This brought tears to my eyes thinking of my dad who passed in 2017. This is definitely a Number One hit single the first of many for this amazing young singer/songwriter.
She is an artist for the times...all of 14 years old! And you are correct. This is just the beginning for her #1 hits.

It also reminds me of the people I've lost due to the political climate. Those are deaths to me. I still love and miss them so much but I can't abide their racism and bigotry. So we're a million miles apart and we'll never be together again.

I have seen many reactors being effected by this song. All feel Angelina Jordan echoing their own feelings and memories
"I know that I'm never alone". That line is my antidote in these times of pandemia and crisis. I needed that.
I’m another one who thought I had cried myself out listening to this song dozens of times yesterday. Then you mentioned the Covid connection. It’s so true. So many kids have lost their grandparents to that virus. So many grandparents won’t get to see their kid graduate from high school or university, won’t get to see them get married or achieve their dreams. This song doesn’t just recognize those losses but offers a beacon of hope. That is exactly the kind of thing someone like Angelina Jordan would want to do. I don’t think that angle was lost on her or Republic records. I don’t think the choice of this as her first single to be released was an accident.
I’ve watched a lot of reactions and, of the ones that I have seen, you were the only one who has picked up on this. Whether the connection was deliberate or not on the part of Angelina and Republic, I think it was a very poignant observation.
David I really believe that because Angelina wants to touch and change the world through her music, that this song for this time was beautifully deliberate and will be well received. I am still feeling the affects of this one.
