thanks for the post. Formerly of Camarillo, now living in Portland Oregon. This gives me a beautiful flashback.

Thanks for sharing your rides Jason. Scenic and fun route to Magu. I lived in SoCal for 30 years, moved out of state. now trying to make it back somehow, but it ain't gettin' any cheaper! Appreciate your maps and the details in your editing. How does your riding in SoCal differ from your riding in Oregon? - Bill

Great ride Videos. Love the off-road exploring side trips. Cma to magu is a new loop idea. Gonna give it a try.

Would you recommend an ebike for this route or would a gravel bike work out just fine?

The gravel/dirt sections are pretty tame, though there is some loose sand and gravel in spots. The recorded ride was done on a gravel bike with 38mm Specialized Pathfinder Pro tires. It is virtually flat, so an ebike is a nice option but not needed for any tough sections FYI.

17:54 - was that an airplane on the rocks?

🤔 Looks like some kind of irrigation pump. There's a pipe at the back leading down into Calleguas Creek bed.
