You Sir are a legend !!! Bought van with only 1 key, like you auto lock on door clicked in, I'm locked out. Searched the web but all say it can't be done - but you did it !!!. No major task, just did what you said ( even though I was sceptical !!) Worked a dream, all damage is behind the number plate, no one would be any the wiser. Should I do it again I can just drop the plate and enter the same way, even if the key is in the front I can remove dividing compartment barrier and climb over. You've just saved me, and I'm sure many others, hundreds of pounds. Graet Guy. Thanks.
YOU, my friend, are a GENIUS!!! 1 day searching the web = failed. 1 day talking to 'professionals' = failed. 2 days trying to open the bonnet, pick the locks, bashing things with hammers = failed. Your super simple solution 6 minutes. WOW!! as I said. GENIUS!!
Just wanted to say THANK YOU! Christmas Day at my mothers in deepest darkest north Wales. Locked my dogs and keys in the van. All prepared to smash the window open which could have hurt my dogs but then found this. You saved Christmas!!
Legend! Keys fell out of pocket while retrieving tools on a job. Thankfully I had pulled out my drills, a selection of bits and as always had my leatherman. Took me longer to fill the hole than it did to open the van. As always, I'm shocked by the insecurity of vehicles, this is why you take a few minutes at then end of the day to remove tools people!
Thank you so much ! Idk why my caddy just locked its keys into but i don't have a spare. Was desperate but exactly as you describe drill a hole and open she does. Bizarre but true. It's pissing down just to spice things up
Thanks mate for sharing this my fathers van had locked its self with the key in the ignition, idling to heat up. Christ knows what would have happened if we couldn’t get in.
Today I locked myself out of my late 2011VW caddy; key fob was in my work belt when I closed the doors the van locked; so; the windows were open 4 inches both sides however the handles both sides didnt open also lock/unlock buttons did not work van was double locked. VW said there were nothing I could do apart from tow the van to them and get a key sorted would take 7+ days (windows were open not ideal + a week off work) I did exactly what you suggested in your video; drilled a hole behind the reg plate (£10 bit) worked a treat your video saved me hundreds and I can go back to work! Whoever disliked your video is an idiot; this was my best option van was parked miles away from home. Now instead of paying hundreds and hundreds to replace a rear window and a shield or to tow the van to VW; Ill just pay £150 for a 2nd key and no time off work. Big Thanks mate.
This is a great vid biggy199 - 10/10 thanks for making it. Doesn't help me with my Polo at the mo after i let the tailgate slam with my keys on the boot floor ( yes I am a total wazzock) but I shall persevere. Hammer might be the last option. Top notch vid matey !
Got in thank you . I did not have a big drill bit so drilled two smaller holes to get the job done . I have an idea or two to patch it up . Knowing it is a fix now is ease of mind . thanks for sharing ..
Hello mate , I just got back in my t5 transporter following same procedure ....covered the hole with siliconne . many thanks for your brilliant idea ...strangely enough the alarm didn't worked al all and the central locking is dead even after charging and starting the van .... thanks again
biggy199 There was a huge security problem with merc sprinters as people new where to drill so they can open the lock , I’m not sure what you are showing is really that different
julian hunt Like I say it would be quicker and easier to drill out the lock! I really don’t think doing it my way would be the thief’s preferred method!
I've just locked my key into a 2011 van .. will try this tmrw . suppose all I have to lose is a hole in the back door .. will give my feedback tmrw .. thanks
Bought my van today and the door shut with the keys in the ignition in the sales yard, click ! deadlock on, me stood there like a right wazzock. Salesman came out armed with a bit of ally rod, fed it in the door gap and pressed the remote, job done. I shall now investigate getting that deadlock disabled it's a crap idea. thanks for the upload though, I may have to use it in future if I can't get round the deadlock.
I assume even if you would have broken the window, ( I know is was a joke ) you still wouldn't have been able to open the door would you? I have a 2010 ex British gas van and they have handles inside now because the gas fitters going in the back got locked in if the doors closed
Yea get online order it! Take a few days off work whilst you wait for it to be delivered then use it! Oh if we all had that much time. What was I thinking!!!
@@biggy199 Exactly, and where does your title describe this video related ONLY to the Caddy? Almost 11 minutes of dribble which doesn't help anyone gain access to their non-Caddy "VW, Audi, Seat etc".
It’s not his fault if people use the info for criminal activity. As he said there is info on VW website of where the door lock is, they could just as easy do it using VWs information.
Most reputable auto locksmiths would be able to pick the lock and would charge anywhere between £55 & £75 for a daytime, weekday call out. Most will get to you within an hour and should take no more than 15-20 minutes to pick it, with no damage and no holes drilled.
The locksmiths in your area are on good money. I'm a locksmith and for a daytime, weekday call out I charge a flat rate of £55 (not VAT registered) for vehicle opening and I am more expensive than some of my competitors locally, but you get the quality of service you pay for. I only charge £95 if you call me out overnight at the weekend.
@@hairychris71 Any ideas how to get the passenger side front door open when it wont open with either central locking fob or with key? It does not have a key, slot on passenger side, so picking is no good. Only drivers side has key. VW T5 van.
Absolute legend....daughter locked keys in van....30 seconds and van opened 👍🏼

Now can you show us how to disarm the DEAD LOCK!😅

Just followed what you did with the measurements you stated and it worked a treat. Chuffed to bits. Thanks for sharing that useful info.

great work mate. saved me from a load of drama and expense.

Hello and thanks for this fix. I hope it will work for me. I have remote central locking in mine. Do you think it will still work?
Thanks life saver, van locked itself with the engine running while I was scraping snow from the van before work.
Brilliant video saved me breaking my window
I'm not sure if I should be horrified or thankful .
You just saved me hours and £££££s cheers bro
It worked, thanks
Good job fella, worked a treat 👍
Thank you sir! Worked a treat! 👌👌👌
Well if you break the window, how would that help, you've just said if you were inside of the van w'out any keys you cannot get out.
to get the keys out.
Top man saved my night haha
Nice job van tool theifs will love you I hope no one nicks my tools like this

I think if a thief was going to use a drill on your van, then they would more than likely drill out your lock!

Would love to hear how it went buddy
At least this way you can cover the hole with a grommet and number plate 👍
Drill a hole behind the number plate, no useful information until 7:00 . Hope i saved people precious time.
Thanks a lot. It worked on 2004 caddy also.
epic gaming moment mate
It is a serious problem with Boros and Caddys. I am looking at doing something on the back door because it will happen.
They have easy locks to pick I open my mates 55 reg bora straight away with vag pick

Yes that’s correct. Pulling the handle from inside would still not have opened the door! 😬😬
Nice van 👍🏻 good vid
I believe AA or RAC open it by connecting two wires for the boot?
I'm guessing the thumbs done is cause the guy goes on with so much shit before he gets the job done
Where are these beds???
Just buy the vag66 lock pick open the door in bout 10 secs only bout 20 quid it unlocks deadlock door
Yea get online order it! Take a few days off work whilst you wait for it to be delivered then use it! Oh if we all had that much time. What was I thinking!!!
A novice picking the lock within 10 seconds lol ok more like sat there for 4/5 hours a bent tool and no door open
That rod does not open the lock. The electric lock cannot be opened that way.
Good vid biggy👊🏻😅😅😝😆😄🍗🍗🍗🍗
Just told everyone how to brack in to vw caddie 🙈🙈
It’s “Caddy”

Hi have you a TH-cam video of your van beds ?
Hi john no I don’t. I never thought about doing that!! Good suggestion👍 discount for John should you want one 😄😄👍👍Flatout camper beds on Facebook 👍
Lol 👍 I will go have a look on Facebook and hopefully see on on TH-cam soon 😄👍
Does this work on a3?
Makes sense - decide if you don't mind instructing minor criminals, for the sake of saving money wasted on dealership orifices.
Fuckin measrein everythin.
Yea forget measurements!! Chuck a can of stella at it and where it dents .. drill 😂
This is the problem! now all the little scratty chavlings will be using this to break in to tradesmen vans!! take it down pal!

maybe next time phone the RAC
Why?
IN Australia they come out and open up any car for you (members only)
Yes they do here for members but they can’t open the vw deadlock system
interesting

Since looked into this and the cheapest I found was £90+vat so how ever much it is. Mine was still the cheapest option as it cost £0 👍
