I went down a rabbit of traditional English songs and ended up here. I honestly don't regret, probably the best rabbit hole I've leaped into. Loved hearing Mr. Larner sing the songs. Made me feel warm and comfortable, like sitting next to fireplace while you're grandparents tell stories to you.
Brilliant. Thank you for this!

I wish I had met him
he's my great great great uncle as well!!
Sam's sister was my great-grandmother (Thirza Elizabeth Powels). Her daughter (Hilda Thurtle) was my grandmother and Sam's neice.
Fantastic content on a great East Anglian folk singer, he also appears on my family tree through the Powles family
Thank you very much. It's been interesting researching my family tree! Many of my relatives are Powles and Larner; most of them were called 'Thirza'!
Wonderful..thanks
Thank you
