the jukebox is great. but it can be more useful if the machinery part is more thought-out. i personally would use a touch-pad (ipad) to control content. Also a wired or wireless output option to outlet display monitors as a karaoke machine. And/or audio output option to other speakers for surround sound effect. Lastly, i would have slim it down to fit a more modern loft as it can be lighter in weight and less space consuming. But nonetheless, congrats on this build and hope to see more new build ideas in the future.
thanks! i had an old Ipad hooked up initially but it covered up the carving so i opted to continue with a bluetooth connection. Sizing was based off of the rock-ola-bubbler jukebox though so not much wiggle room there.
Very cool build BUT... there are a couple things I think you could have done better. I would have done some carving work on the bottom kick blocks and the outer edge trim that is on the edge of the diffuser plastic. Also the plastic on its own is a little...bland it might look better with some manner of pattern over it like some vertical lines that follow the curve of the plastic or even the pattern of the face of the jukebox. Something akin to the framework of stained glass. Although in general on a jukebox of this shape I would just recommend vacuum forming the plastic diffusers into a rolled edge that connects the face directly to the sides and top just like the Wurlitzer 1015, whose general shape you are replicating in your design. I love the face pattern and webbed grill. Looks properly hand carved.
There was a lot of stress in the curved pieces. If i were to remake this. I would have installed it starting from the top down, allowing the individual sections to set before progressing
This looks great! Really thorough instructions too, good job! I'm doing a project for school and was wondering much you would charge if someone commissioned you to make one that's slightly smaller, around 4 or 5 feet, without the changing lights feature? Also how much does this one weigh? thank you!
Great to see this, really great work. Just a question what type of plexi did you use for the lighting, it looks like it's misted or smoked, I'm used to clear plexi so I would see the led lights underneath.
Appreciate it! I used a 40% light transmission to remove the "Hot Spots" from the LED to give it an even glow. If you let the supplier or manufacturer know that number, they can adjust the material based off the thickness. I went through in a bit more detail at 13:24.
Could you please tell me how you curve the wood for the top? Also what type of wood is it? Is it plywood? How thick? I was considering starting a project like this but that part baffles me.
I used solid walnut strips and milled them down to approximately 3/16" in thickness. I then used glue between 4 layers and clamped it around a form i made so that when it hardened, the glue would hold the layers together and keep the shape i clamped it too, Its still difficult to clamp so make sure you start in the center and work your way outside and place a clamp approximately every 2-3" so you dont have any portions cracking under the stress. That portion of the video starts at 11:06
You can usually get cut-off pieces from sign stores for a good price. If you need larger pieces, just search acrylic depot in google maps and you should find a couple places. Just make sure to get 40% light transmission to get the proper glow across the whole face
Would you be interested in building another to sell? I your like your attention on detail, and the one I would like could be as simple or as creative as you wanted. Please let me know.
I simply can't believe how beautiful that Jukebox looks! You give me hope lol...
Thanks man! hardest part is to make the next project bigger and better!
Just one word for this..... WAAAAW
Spectacular one digital/musical angel. ✝️
This thing looks amazing! Awesome job 👍🏻
Appreciate it!
Fantastic job
Thanks!
Nice work. What really would have worked nicely is the sub designed and built into the jukebox but minor details
You RULE!

Omg awesome build man
Thanks!
A masterpiece ❤
You are awsome, saludos desde Argentina
Appreciate it man!
aside from the great wood work you are doing this is also a great video production - excellent!
Thanks! find the video making process more difficult than the woodworking but i believe the videos are slowly getting better
Gorgeous project man...and great video documenting the work!
Appreciate it!! the editing is turning out to be harder than the build itself haha
Amazing Man!!!!,great job.
4 weeks, in man hours (and dog) how many ?. Nice work.
Awesome Job. !
Very nice job man. Can you give details what led strings you used? (Maybe a link where to buy) thx in advance.

Dark stain looks great!

Appreciate it, yea we looked to vacuum form the Acrylic but the quotes were out to lunch.
Awesome job, man! I'd like to learn how to.do wood carving, any tips where to start?
Appreciate it! Id start with a Kutzall Carbide teeth grinding bit and go from there. It was all trial and error for me for the first couple attempts
Well done 👍
I built a jukebox looks like a hot rod 😅
around 15 mins in i was looking at the finished product, looks great and all but why is there gaps between your pieces in areas like that top arch?

lol...As soon as you opened your mouth, I knew that you knew what you were doing. Thumbs up!
Thanks! im trying to sound more natural in the upcoming videos but a work in progress

thank you!
Appreciate it! I would charge between 5-7 thousand (CAD). Weight is around 150 pounds due to the solid wood door

@@KurvyWoodworking Thanks :)
Me interesa mucho amigo $
you should of done it right up as a spiderman theme & colors
I kept the template for the web pattern and you read my mind for a later project.
How much cost only the cabinet
If i were to price it, likely around $8000 dollars all in.
Hallo hab eine frage ist das ein Glas bei den Led-Streifen? Oder ist das ein Milchglas?
40 Prozent lichtdurchlässige Plexiglasscheibe - Google Translated
What about curving the wood for the actual box... Not the door... Was that plywood?
Wiggle-board with a walnut veneer top

Anybplans please?
It was built off a sketch drawn in my notebook a couple months ago, i can put together dimensions, just may need a bit of time.
