    Never underestimate a man with knowledge and wisdom. Jake thinks he’s faced serious competition. Getting into the ring with a man like Tyson is an entirely new conversation. Jakes going to wish he never signed onto this match.

      I think you're pipe dreaming. Tyson is a legend (.). He will gas fast against Paul and this is not to credit Paul's boxing whatsoever, it's just too much to expect what this guy clearly explained for Tyson to stand with a guy half his age. No offense to Tyson at all. His weakness will be energy, lost mobility not Paul's boxing.

    He’s not wrong about Mike fading during his career. Everyone remembers 20 year old Mike Tyson when he was an absolute terror. They forget about the guy who quit on his stool and ended his career against a guy no one ever heard of. And that was almost 20 years ago. I love his analogy of Jake Paul buying scalps. That’s exactly what he’s done with these old fighters, who were already losing at the tail of their real careers. I’d love Mike to prove us all wrong though.

    • @kjaze
      @kjaze 27 วันที่ผ่านมา +7

      Yep. Up until now I firmly believed Tyson would be scraping Jake Paul's skull off of his gloves by the middle of the second round. If Jake Paul gets on his bicycle, or motorcycle rather, Mike won't get many shots in his range. That could make anyone sloppy and impatient. Johnny Nelson makes a good point that is difficult for Tyson fans to acknowledge.
      On the other hand, Jake Paul can't even drop a mediocre boxer close to his own age. You can't call him a can-crusher. He don't have knockout power. Also Paul's lack of fight IQ could become a factor. Tyson dips his toast in the sweet science every morning with his breakfast.
      He has encyclopedic knowledge of the sport of boxing, and its psychology. Jake Paul, on the other hand, is a savant at staying within the public attention span. He uses that time to peddle various goods and services generating a massive income stream.
      I've got to pull for the boxer over the prize-fighter despite Mike Tyson's age. This is a closer fight than I initially thought.

He has really been training hard. But, I also agree with the age factor. Tyson is going to have to go on the attack and try and take him out fast and Paul is going to have to try and stay away from Tyson and wear him out by increasing the number of rounds the fight goes. I think it's hilarious that most people that have not reached anything older than their 20's or 30's think that a 57 year old man could not hurt you....... I'm 45 years old.... train 5 days a week and routinely train with guys in their 50's that just wreck and out work dudes in their 20's all the time...... but the one correct thing will be this. Mike will have maybe 3 rounds to do it in...... after that he will be gone. But to say a 57 year old man can not hurt you is just simply dumb...... My prediction is he will knock Jake out in Round 1 or 2........ Jake has never and I say NEVER been hit with anything that hard to date. No one has landed hardly anything on him rather than Silva... and he went the distance..... Fury beat him hands down..... Tyson will literally kill Paul inside of 3 rounds. Anything after 3 rounds is up in the air......my prediction...... Round 1.... 2. Knockout.

      No one doubts a 58-year-old Mike Tyson can hurt any man on the planet if he can lay hands on him. The question is if he can lay hands on him. The endurance question aside, it's not just speed and power. It's also timing. I'm very skeptical that he has the timing to find Jake's chin. Mike's mitt work is impressive - for 15 seconds at a time. But that's muscle memory. I still haven't seen any sustained sparing footage. That would give us all a better idea of where Mike really is.

Result : draw.
      If it was an actual boxing match, it would be very one sided. Paul would win by TKO or KO before the 5th round. When it's all said and done Tyson is 57 years old and Jake Paul is now equivalent to the level of a pro boxer who fights 6 and 8 rounders, Mike would gas out early, catch a lot of hard shots, get hurt and be stopped.....just about every young heavy in the world with a winning record fighting 6 and 8 round bouts would stop the 57y.o. Don't worry, it's surely one of the last Jake Paul fights that actually sells.
    Nobody gave a shht about his last fight(or 2?). He lost to Tommy who himself is a poor boxer. That showcased how useless Jake Paul is at "professional" level and Jake himself, deluded as he was back then taking Canelo etc, learned the truth.
    So he very much stopped the Canelo shht talk and went back to challenging retired and tailor made opposition. Vs Nate was interesting, but then their really wasn't anyone left that Jake could beat interesting enough to also sell. And so, he came up with Mike Tyson of all people a long retired almost 60 year old man seen in wheelchairs and waking sticks... which is also sad on Mike's part for taking it, and Jake's trying to push this as fighting a 27 year Mike Tyson, it's just the most PATHETIC thing in boxing I've seen and I've seen a lot of pathetic moments in boxing.

    I totally agree with this gentleman. Many things happen to our bodies an brain as we age. It's not only about strength and stamina, but reflexes are also a factor to consider. Of course, a clean punch by Tyson would probably knock anyone out; but, he's gotta catch his opponent first.
    I do hope that he does well.

    That was one of the better assessments of this fight I have heard. Nelson certainly has far more insight than a fool like me. I get that Tyson is a shell of what he once was. I understand his age and the physical limitations that brings. Yet, it seems he can still slip a punch to some extent, and put a combination together as short as they may now be. I question the skill level difference as well though. Yes, Paul looks like a strong, young, fast, powerful dude that knows how to box. Tyson is a boxer that has mastered his craft. I guess my question is does Tyson need the speed and stamina he once had to beat Paul, or will the physical ability he has left be enough considering his superior skill and knowledge?

    As long as Tyson trains as hard as he used to, he will destroy Jake with certainty. THe only way Jake makes it past the first round is that Tyson decides to let him survive longer so he can beat him more and make the fight more entertaining. Training is key. The Peak-a-boo style requires incredibly high training to be able to deliver flurries of punches with bad intentions when you get inside. When Tyson trained very hard under D-Amato and Rooney, he did so perfectly, but he was nearly invincible. When Tyson slackened his training under his partying wife, Robyn Givens, and partying manager, King, he shifted from flurries of punches to single punches, he was still formidable but started losing matches. It is all about conditioning. When you are 59, conditioning is harder, and healing between sessions is slower, but this can be overcome with sufficient effort. Tyson realizes that this is probably his last chance to once more BE Mike Tyson of old - so I think he will work hard and that Jake Paul will pay the humiliating price. Paul is mediocre, beating only has-beens, not even a top 10 real contender - he has neither the skills nor the experience to deal with a motivated Mike Tyson.

    Hoping for a first round KO so people like this guy and Lennox can eat their words. I remember when these types of guys all said the same thing about Foreman. Last thing to go is your power. As far as speed... Judging by the training videos of both fighters, Tyson is way WAY quicker than Paul, but maybe Paul is sandbagging a bit on the videos. 16 oz. gloves will slow them both down a bit. I see Paul's only chance is to keep running. He can't let Tyson get inside. Just my 2 cents... if it's worth even that.
