Thanks for the update. I've been on the fence about whether or not to add one of these to my keys but was always concerned with fuel evaporation. Glad to know this holds fuel for a long time.
@onebluwolf, the same thing can be said about any Bic type lighter, when SHTF, can you guarantee getting to a town to get a refill if your home stock runs out? Not very clear thinking their, friend. Also, this lighter will not break as easy as a Bic, I've had a Bic break in my pack, that is NEVER going to happen with this lighter, unless your SHTF day has gone nuclear and you're at the epicentre.
I know this is old, comparatively, just saying I think it a worthy piece of kit, and this and the previous video do the product justice. I keep one on me, and for a while I just threw it in my fire-kit, I know some folks go on about 'windproof' etc, but how the heck do they think people got on in the good old days started fire with flint or bow? I still carry a firesteel, and, TBH, it is my primary way to start a fire or even fire up a butane stove, but I think everyone should have more than one way to start fire, if I'm backpacking I'll have at least one firesteel, some waxed matches, my Fire Stash lighter and I could include an optical lens that I use for close up look-sees at bugs and maps, that I have also started tinder off with. The key to survival is adaptability and not only having many options available, but being skilled in using them. I know two guys decided to wild camp using only a gas-flow wood stove, they trialled it in the backyard, using a Bic type lighter, then happy it would be up to the job, went to the wild. They were back in less than two days; couldn't get the stove to fire!
Why the hell don't folks just use a Bic! Thses little lighters will only light a couple of times, then burn out. A Bic( or whatever brand) will light dozens of times every time-no fail. A zippo uses the same principle but at least they are "windproof". If this is a SHTF scenario, where are you going to find FUEL,flints and wicks. A Bic can be found at ANY c-store or market. Carry one on you. I bought one yesterday for less than $2, I don't even smoke!
These starters are for emergency or commercial use and these are windproof as well, a zippo actually breaks or loosens up from the top hinges that keeps it closed and makes the lighter fluid evaporate faster.

I'm loving these update videos! Thanks, 2BA!
Is it better than the Sweet Pea lighter? I purchased the Sweet Pea (smaller version of the Peanut) and it goes dry really fast.
