I've never reloaded cartridges before. This video took ALL the mystery out of this process for me. You are a great presenter mister Jiujitsu. Thanks so much for your time and effort.
I was an engineering student, physics and mathematics. Enjoying just getting into firearms specifically rifles. I liked the thorough approach with multiple techniques in each step. Thank you for that. Great video.
Probably the best video I’ve seen on reloading. Fantastic job. Never apologize for being thorough. We love it and it leaves us with less questions at the end. Thank You!
This is one of the Best introduction to Reloading Jiujitsu is one of the Best videos on Reloading. Some of his earliest videos that are no longer listed were really good information
I have reloaded for 40yrs...It's one of the most satisfying hobby's I have! I've owned three 7mm Mags and agree its a great round. We are both on the same page and my techniques are same...bullet seating, crimp, polish and inspection also! I load bullets for a select few friends, and all brag on how great the loads perform. I don't recommend this to people, but if you take the time to do it right, your time and precision will be evidenced! TY for this video!!
Your slow, steady, patient, cautious and precise method is most definitely the one I'll be imitating from now on. Definitely superior to any hurry, hurry, rush, rush, gotta get it done method, I think! Thanks for such an awesome, in-depth, and very, very enlightening reloading/hand-loading video!
I'm a beginning reloader and I have used the TH-cam forum a lot to help myself learn how to reload. this is by far the best video that I have watched, I actually reloaded my first bullets using this video as my complete guide throughout the entire process. My first batch of bullets came out almost perfectly and shot amazing well. Fantastic job of explaining the entire process in great detail that I could understand and follow.
@@jiujitsu2000 You are most welcome. Actually I am just starting my reloading journey and am starting with 7mm Rem Mag (I’ve taken a lot deer and an elf with this weapon and love it. ). Perfect video. I love the whole video but was especially impressed with your primer breakdown.
I’ve watched your reloading videos for other calibers and NO ONE does a better job in explaining and demonstrating how it should be done! I always have your video next to me on the reloading bench when building my cartridges! Yours is the only one I need. Thanks a million!
Hey there JJ; like Jesse down there in your comments, I too was an engineering student at one time, now I'm getting ready to retire after near 40 years service in the field. I think you have a very consistent, quantifiable manor in which you load each cartridge and that adds to the consistency and the size of your groups and I'm sure you've taken those cartridges out to a range and proven it time and again. I very much like your explanation and offering of alternative methods to the same conclusion throughout your process; everything you're doing, you're doing well, kudos to you Sir, many kudos to you! This is a wonderful tutorial for anyone just getting started in reloading, you and I both know JJ that it can wander off in any of a thousand different directions from this point, the hobby of reloading is that awesome in it's variability. For folks just starting out; I recommend this man as definite guide in your quest to hit the mark. Listen up! Essayons to you JJ, keep up the good work, we need more people like you out there!
Great refresher course for me .I have hunted with semi autos for decades .Now back to bolt action .I have pulled out my Lyman Press. not used for over 4 decades.A great help .thanks
I like to watch different reloading videos just to see how other people do it. Your video is one of the few that actually covers all phases of reloading a cartridge. Most of the videos I've seen leave out one or more important parts. So I would recommend your video to anyone wanting to learn how to reload plus you proved that one does not have to have thousands of dollars worth of the latest and fanciest equipment that seems to keep coming onto the market.
You were thorough, gave great explanations w/options & cautionary notes, the camera was well focused throughout. I specifically typed in my search 7mm Rem Mag "Start to Finish" and that was exactly what I just watched so the video length.....for me.....was not an issue at all. I wasn't watching for entertainment. I was watching to learn and you did a great job. Well done young man, thank you!
Excellent! Great video for anyone wanting to learn reloading. I appreciate the tempo and fine detail of your teaching. Reminds me of how a father carefully teaches his son his craft. Thanks again.
I don't think this video could be better! Perfectly informative. Well explained. Presented in a fashion anyone could understand. This a perfect example of what makes TH-cam a great place to learn things: skilled people with the passion to make good videos to educate those of us who want the skills. Thanks for a great video on reloading the 7mm Rem Mag!
The cool thing about the 7 rem mag is you can do a lot with it. You have a wide variety of bullets. You can load it down for whitetails, you can load match loads for extreme long range shooting. You can load it for large game. Nosler Partitions are excellent bullets drops anything from hogs to moose for the big tough stuff! I just got a 7mm Rem. mag I am looking to eventually reload for it! Great video excellent information!
Im just wanna say again this video is freaking amazing for reloading. YOu sir are top nitch, and thank you so much for the effort and time it took you all those years ago. Hope you a re still shooting and reloading, and your world is good.
Excellent video for those learning the first time. I have a Ruger Model 77- 7MM Remington Magnum, that I purchased in early 80’s and has been a great rifle and round. I reload and this caliber like you mention can take almost anything in N. American. This is a very ‘flat’ shooting round which I really do like. I have been using Hornady 154 gr. SP at 2800 fps with IMR-4831 powder, which has been excellent for Deer, but if I like to go Elk hunting (never did) I could go up to 185 gr., for the larger animal, however you do have a good selection of various weight bullets. I liked how you are very good at not having a lot of repeating and how you went slow/normal talking on your delivery, so viewers can absorb your lesson. Reloading is always about safety and don’t rush anything. If something doesn’t seem right, ‘STOP”, re-check thing’s then continue with your session. The initial cost of reloading can be tough, but I view it as a life long hobby. Any reloading press will generally last a life time for the investment. As the years go by newer products come out to make some process’s easier or you just like something new. I still use my RCBS Rockchucker from the mid-70’s rifle reloading. Moving to a Dillon 550B, to reload pistol at a faster pace, but it can do rifle as well, but I don’t shoot as many rifle rounds and the RCBS single stage works fine for those small numbers. Best to you!
This is a great how to reloading video. It demonstrates in depth reloading for the 7 mag, but the processes and procedures shown here are sound for any rifle cartridge. Thanks for posting.
This was very well done. Thank you for your time and effort. One of the most informative videos out there. Being able to see the work done firsthand in a step-by-step process sure helps out a lot..
Thank you for the information! It’s very helpful to a new guy just getting going. I don’t know or know of anyone who is reloading in my area. I got my equipment from a family whose father passed. Thank you for passing on his knowledge.
Finally, a thorough step by step video with excellent description and reason of why and how you are doing something. I’ve just started reloading and this is what I’ve been looking for, thank you for taking the time to share your experience! Great job!
@@jiujitsu2000 I'm buying reloading stuff now. This is the first and probably only video I will follow to the T for reloading my 145 barnes LRX for my 7mm. Never re loaded before but this video helps a ton. Thank you. The only powder I could find was the 4000 power pro MR. ... Hopefully it will work good.
The Supermarine Spitfire was nice looking. I like the controls, too. But, I have to agree with you. That North American P-51 Mustang just has it all, hands down! ✋
I've never pulled a charging handle in my life! Thanx to your excellent presentation, I would no longer fear getting involved in the process. GREAT video man, and I love my 7 RM!
I've been liking your older videos because I like the way you deliver the "lesson" and information. I didn't know you stopped making videos as I didn't see the dates. But glad you're back making them again. You are one of the better teachers on reloading. Your voice is easy to listen to (and I mean that in the straightest way possible) as you make concepts simple to understand... as if you were talking to a small classroom of grade-schoolers. I started reloading this past winter to prevent cabin fever and got a few worked up for the .270 Win. But this past Wednesday I went and took advantage of the Fathers Day sale at Sportsman's Warehouse and bought the new Tikka T3x Superlite in 7mm Rem Mag!! So I'll be danged... good timing on this video! From your previous videos, I have learned to search for dirty range brass and clean it and to enjoy prepping those cases. Also learning about the Dillon swager, which I'm now needing to purchase and use since that .223 Rem brass is NATO and sealed in the primer pockets. So thank you for continuing your channel.. I look forward to more future knowledge passed down.
I have always heard my dad talk about reloading. This video convinced me to get into it. Thanks for such an awesome quality video and taking the time to explain it all in detail.
Nice, I like Nosler Partition bullets! I have been re-loading for 53 years, not much i don't know, but i enjoyed watching your video, great for beginners and old hands. Just like pilots, training, training, and more training! Thank you!
This video is solid as hell. Getting into reloading myself and this was one of the most straightforward but still detailed walkthroughs I’ve seen and is extremely helpful to a newbie. Keep it up!
I just wanted to say thank you for the video that you put out. I have used the manuals but your video comes across way better than any manual that I've read. Very happy and proud that I own a 7 mm Remington mag Winchester. I just wanted to give you a shout out. An, A big thank you!!
Thank you for this video. Lots of useful information, especially for someone like me that is wanting to get into reloading and have no idea how. Thanks again
I have an old RCBS Reloader Special 2 Reloading Press, vintage 1981, so it is older than your press which is old but not as old as mine. I have reloaded my Ruger M77 7mm Mag Rifle for 39 years with the same press and my accuracy is great (well, I know the cartridge is extremely accurate, but I am a lot older so probably a bit less accurate physically). I thought your video was extremely informative and you gave me a couple of ideas to try. A bit long but well worth the time. You were thorough and informative. I would say that one of the most important things when reloading is "attention to detail" and to be systematic/organized. You never want to rush through this process but you can be a bit quicker when you have done this several times. You can NEVER to too much checking and rechecking of your work to make sure you have not made a mistake or there is an issue with the casing. You only need to mess up one time and that can be devastating. So, Great Job on this video.
I'm a believer in the 7mag after this year's deer season.. my dad hunts with a 7mag and some of his exit wounds are gnarly. I've only started reloading this year but once I find my groove and fav way of doing everything I'm gonna reload some for him
Just came across your video. This is one of the best reloading video I have come across. Thank you for breaking the process down into more of a common sense process for those just getting started. And see you don't need to spend an outrageous amount of money in doing reloading. Again thank you sir. Well done. I see this video is 2 years old. But it is in my opinion one of the best on the reloading process. I now am a subscriber sir to your channel.
Excellent video! One thing I always recommend with the Lee trimmer is to get some anti-sieze from the auto parts store and put it on the case length gauge threads before screwing it into the cutter. It makes removing it a lot easier later.
I can not thank you enough for making this video. I've been wanting to get into loading my own ammo but short of taking a spendy class this is my best option. Thanks again and I will be watching your other videos.
You were very clear and concise with this video. It was fascinating to watch and has me thinking that I can reload my own ammunition. Great job! I have a Winchester Model 70 7mm Rem mag and love it!
I just watched both Videos on the 7 MM Rem Mag. It has been many years since I reloaded ammo. Both Videos are fantastic. I would recommend them to anyone that is just starting, or just as a refresher. I just purchases a 7 MM Mag Sauer S100 Classic XT Bolt Action and look forward to start reloading again for it. I have not shot it yet. I also have a 300 WM, 6.5 Grendel on an AR 15 Frame and a 243. Thank you
I set up two partner presses, side by side. I use one for sizing and the next for seating. The partner press offers you that light feel you need for precision work. I shoot .075 at 100yds with .223. I love reloading, and love your video! We do damn near everything the same.
Great video! Very detailed and nice to see you taking the time to explain different ways with different instruments.....we don’t all have the same tools due to money, availability etc so really worked 👌🏼
Lovers of the Big 7, great tutorial you are the only Handloader that I’ve seen that takes the to check the length of his brass after it’s been trimmed.
from a fellow Arizonan born at the phx indian hospital and have hunted on papago southern mountains ive brought down bucks with a .3030 slug, but this 7mm is outta the ballpark! stunning job, brother those shells are perfection as far as the eyes can see..maybe one day my shoulder can see how this gorgeous round kicks. love your vids and stay cool in the desert, bo 👍
Great video, I like the step by step unedited. I have a Rem 700 in 7mm Rem Mag that i would like to start reloading. I just saw your 25lb range lead melt video in the suggestions and I remembered watching that 8 years ago. Awesome.
Thanks for the video! I reload 9mm and have that down to a science, but haven't touched rifle rounds, yet. This helped me a lot and set the ball rolling for me. Just ordered a Bergera B-14 Ridge in 7mm RemMag, so I'm excited to try and find the perfect reload for that gun. Awesome detail and took the nerves out of me trying rifle rounds.
Wow! I love details. Thank you for your video. I have wanted to reload for a long time, after watching this I think I'm going to do some more research and make the plunge. Very helpful. Thank you😁
As I have said here before, you are one of the great teachers on TH-cam. Their loss will be our gain. Lee's videos on reloading are worthless. Remember reloading is a process of stopping before the grenade is done. :)
Sir the video was excellent and informative..Is exactly what i was looking for …the length of the video didn’t bother me , it answered a lot of my questions..I will be watching and referring back to when I start to reload.. for the first time..thanks much 👍👍👍👍👍
I'm a reload newbie, this video has helped gel information to see the overall process. I was scared to death about setting up the dies correctly, your methodical approach helped me understand and allowed me to "take notes" to keep the process simple. Thank you. I see I need to get a couple more tools to do the job right.
Great to see you back. As others have said and this is true for me as well, these videos are what brought me to your channel in the first place and I am glad to see you back doing these videos. I thought you were going to get a Redding Big Boss press.
I am just getting into reloading my own ammo and I would just like to let you know that out of all the videos I have been watching I have gained the best and most useful knowledge and techniques from you and I am definitely subbing and I am going to continue watching your videos and just want to say thank you for making these videos. 🤙🏼🎯🎯🇺🇸🇺🇸
One more thing I would have mentioned is when you zeroed out the brass is each shell should be zeroed because each individual shell will probably weigh differently. I’ve always enjoyed your videos. I’ve been reloading for over 30 and would very much recommend your channel to everyone.
Awesome video broken down to every step. One point of contention though. The belt on magnum cartridges is not for strength, it is used for the proper headspace.
Great presentation as usual. I like the fact that you explained why you were using that powder. Results are what matters and when I don't like the way something feels or reacts, I change what I am doing until I get the results I like. Some powder and cartridge/projectile combinations just don't feel good. Changing the powder gave you a better result and also "felt better" which is actually very important when we are shooting. If it feels wrong, something is not right (at least to YOU) and will effect your shooting even if it is not "too hot" or outside the recommended pressure. A big reason to make your own, is to get a load you like that performs how you want. Great video. Thank you for making it and sharing it.
Best reloading video I've found on here! I love the deep explanation on every detail for every step. I really enjoy longer videos like this. I had to give it a thumbs up and give you a sub! I look forward to seeing more of your videos!
I appreciate that you have all the mechanical tools for reloading, meaning you don't have to depend on electricity. However, if you have electricity, why deal with the headache of hand trimming and so forth? Frankford Arsenal makes a good case prep trimming tool to trim, deburring tool. Fast and accurate and if one is doing a lot of brass a lot less of a headache. Everyone has their own process and I did want to suggest that. I do appreciate taking the time to show specifics on die set ups. Those sections alone are helpful for those of us who get tied up with life and have to relearn those steps because we forgot a minor point or two.
Awesome video, brother. I don't shoot 7mm Mag, but I do .270 Rem, and just starting reloading. Principles are the same. Learning a lot from your content. Cheers from Peeples Valley, AZ. C

This has been the most helpful reloading video I have found yet on TH-cam! Thank you!
Excellent video!
One thing I always recommend with the Lee trimmer is to get some anti-sieze from the auto parts store and put it on the case length gauge threads before screwing it into the cutter. It makes removing it a lot easier later.
Thanks it was very informative and helped me reload my first 50 rounds of 7mm greatly appreciate it
Thanks for the video! I feel more confident now going into reloading!
Thank you, Blessings from Arizona!
I’m learning reloading and preparing to start with my 7 rem mag next week. Excellent and informative information
I can not thank you enough for making this video. I've been wanting to get into loading my own ammo but short of taking a spendy class this is my best option. Thanks again and I will be watching your other videos.
No need to apologize for being thorough. Great video man thank you
Best reloading videos on the interweb!!!
Thank you!!
You were very clear and concise with this video. It was fascinating to watch and has me thinking that I can reload my own ammunition. Great job! I have a Winchester Model 70 7mm Rem mag and love it!
Best reloading videos that I have seen. Great teaching approach.
Thank you
Excellent video I've been loading like this for 40 years
I set up two partner presses, side by side.
Thanks. The best reloading video I have ever seen. Can't wait to find the sweet spot on my 7mm Rem Magnum.
Lovers of the Big 7, great tutorial you are the only Handloader that I’ve seen that takes the to check the length of his brass after it’s been trimmed.
Awesome mate your attention to detail is second to none. Thanks for your video and help!
from a fellow Arizonan born at the phx indian hospital and have hunted on papago southern mountains ive brought down bucks with a .3030 slug, but this 7mm is outta the ballpark! stunning job, brother those shells are perfection as far as the eyes can see..maybe one day my shoulder can see how this gorgeous round kicks. love your vids and stay cool in the desert, bo 👍
This is the kind of video that i can watch again and again and again.thanks : )
Thank you for stopping by and sharing your thoughts hope things are well blessings from Arizona

Thank you.. you did a great job explaining your routine and giving me ideas. I feel more confident reloading my first time.
I miss your reloading videos. Great common man instructions.
Thank you! Blessings from Arizona!!
Great video. I'm new to reloading so this provides a lot of great info. Thanks.
Thank you😁
Great video. Very informational as I’m planning to start reloading this caliber. Thank you 👍🏽👍🏽
As I have said here before, you are one of the great teachers on TH-cam. Their loss will be our gain. Lee's videos on reloading are worthless. Remember reloading is a process of stopping before the grenade is done. :)
I really enjoyed the lesson very well delivered thank you so much for that nice lesson
Sir the video was excellent and informative..Is exactly what i was looking for …the length of the video didn’t bother me , it answered a lot of my questions..I will be watching and referring back to when I start to reload.. for the first time..thanks much 👍👍👍👍👍
Glad you liked it. Thank you!
thanks for doing these videos brother. it's a real service you are providing. much love. from Australia.
brosius85 thank you. Much love from Arizona!
great doco. .i have taken up reloading after some 40 years of semi auto use now back to bolt action
I thought you were going to get a Redding Big Boss press.
bassetthound2008 thank you so much yeah I'd really like to get the Redding Big Boss 2. Haven't done that yet. LOL...
I agree with you. No crimp is necessary. Great video, love how you explain things step by step and the how and why. Thumbs up #11
I GUESS CRIMP is just necessaRY when load is near max or max! ?
I am just getting into reloading my own ammo and I would just like to let you know that out of all the videos I have been watching I have gained the best and most useful knowledge and techniques from you and I am definitely subbing and I am going to continue watching your videos and just want to say thank you for making these videos. 🤙🏼🎯🎯🇺🇸🇺🇸
Just started reloading, found this video very helpfull.
Thanks for making the Video! Loved the level of detail.
Thank you for thre very kind words and support!!
Best reloading video I've found on here! I love the deep explanation on every detail for every step. I really enjoy longer videos like this. I had to give it a thumbs up and give you a sub! I look forward to seeing more of your videos!
Best reloading video ever! Great job
Thank you so much!
Those sections alone are helpful for those of us who get tied up with life and have to relearn those steps because we forgot a minor point or two.
video was good in depth and you gave great video content and you went into detail where you need too
thanks,
Ron
Thank you! Blessings from Arizona
Awesome video, brother. I don't shoot 7mm Mag, but I do .270 Rem, and just starting reloading. Principles are the same. Learning a lot from your content. Cheers from Peeples Valley, AZ. C
Thank you, maybe I'll do a 270 video. Blessings from Winslow
