I am glad to see Broderick Crawford in a role against type. Too often he has been cast in tough guy roles with no redeeming qualities. This was a good film upload. Thx
Like I've said in a previous existence; maybe on another Earth-like planet.......every now and again, one has to watch a Glenn Ford movie and a Brod. Crawford movie........no sweat!... here they are together!! Crawford, who always looked like and sounded like, he had a burr in his underpants, mabe two.... and Ford, with that wry, easy-going grin, ...gave value for money and 11/10 entertainment value....and to think YT has many, many great b&w films like this. What a visual time to live in!....just don't colour these gems!
B. Crawford's performance here follows his 1949 Oscar for Best Actor in "All the King's Men." He delivers a powerful portrayal in this vid. Supporting cast is excellent. Enjoy!

Broderick is my all time favourite actor. Love every thing he’s done. But this is really great for him.

Crawford ALWAYS played himself in all his roles....especially in Highway Patrol. Always liked his tough personality.
A good ending to a bad beginning....Crawford is like Highway Patrol before its time. Good film.
