Wow, Stardust Ray really locks things in place, huh? And it even works on bigger targets. From the looks of things, it has near -aga levels of animation interruption, which is crazy given that it costs no MP.
It has the same interruption strength as most skills. Which is mid level. This game similarly to remake has 3 interrupt strength levels. Basic attacks with low. synergy skills and abilities/spells with medium, and aga spells/limits/synergy abilities with high. But this time around there is a lot more tricks in the system. Most enemies have their stun defense lowered when pressured and sometimes you need to use higher interrupt strength than normal to launch/knockdown/blowback enemies. Stardust ray, like most abilities, falls into the same category as other abilities. however, it is the longest lasting ability in the game to hold mid stun power, so enemies that are stunned by it get completely stuck until it ends. Everything in this VR beyond wave 1 have mid level stun defense, though some abilities they use can temporarily raise it for the animation.
Welp, you've got my sub. I'm working through the solo challenges right now, and these loadouts + skill usage have given me one hell of a leg up. Considering that I was struggling to make it past White Terror in Cloud's solo. Just Tifa's to go, now, because I haven't mastered the party and dodge timing for Kid G yet. I'll get there, though.
Does ATK MATK actually do much? I notice it only changes the base stat and most characters spread between the two aren’t that great. It doesn’t seem to change the attack and magic attack stat completely (ie giving Tifa Kaiser knuckles and then giving her the materia to give her insane magic damage)
Yeah it should be called STR-MAG because that’s what it swaps. It can. Depends on the character, the party and character build composition, equipped materia, and enemies being faced. For example, you may want 2 caster dps’s, and to really push the stats of both you can equip one with mag up and the other with STR up and ATK-MATK. It can help balance stats too. Best use I’ve found of it is on Tifa, as she has the highest natural strength but much lower magic. Utilizing magic builds with unfettered fury benefits greatly from this materia. Particularly with her magic weapon to really push the magic stat at the expense of physical attack, which won’t matter much when going all out on unfettered fury.
@@OnyxKat1i think skill master, the visual effects of 3 horizontal circles around Red. but i was curious how he gets to put out more damage per combo, anyone know what is the most efficient input for damage and atb generation?

Red is very non-popular but he’s one if the OP in this game. Stardust Ray is a stagger machine.
Been waiting for reds one. Good stuff man I wish there was more of a speed run competitiveness in these challenges amongst the community

Did i see that right??? MP only heal for 30%???
Yeah. I heard it was always that way but was supposed to say 30% in English or something, and got fixed in the last patch
what makes the horizontal blue circles around red appear?
If what you speak of is at the beginning of the bouts it is spells sonic boom (blue) and haste (orange)

This is the easiest legendary solo battle for me. Red is a tank in Rebirth
Red is strong AF too, with some mad aoe crowd control, and also a great stagger rate. People really underestimate him
