A year on from winning the Formula One World Championship, I returned to Abu Dhabi for the final race of the season, just this time in a slightly different seat.

It was a great weekend in Abu Dhabi, returning to where I won the Championship last year. I had an interesting time watching the race from the stands instead of in the drivers seat.

Ich wünsche mir wirklich, dass Nico ab nächstem Jahr als RTL-Experte zu sehen ist, nachdem Niki nun so unerwartet seinen Rücktritt bekanntgegeben hat. Wenn einer würdig und kompetent genug ist, in die großen Fußstapfen der Legende Niki Lauda zu treten, dann wohl Nico! :)

I think it's great to be able to see the GP from his perspective with the access that he gets. For a person like me a normal F1 fan it's great to be able to watch this. I am more of a Lewis fan not gonna lie but I respect you for what you have done and what you do.

Hi Nico, vielen Dank für den Einblick hinter die Kulissen, sehr aufregend, viel Glitzer in Abu Dabi und deine RTL Kommentare waren sehr emotional, hast die Situation aus Fahrersicht erklärt. Das hat mir super gut gefallen. Als Fahrer ist so ein Wochenende bestimmt super anstrengend, man muss sich konzentrieren, den Focus auf das Rennen halten und alles geben, auch wenn man es im Fernseh nicht so sieht. Dein WE in Abu Dabi war augenscheinlich mindestens genauso anstrengend. Du bist immer am rennen, hetzen von einem Termin zum anderen, aber jetzt ist ja Winterpause. Ich hoffe wir können dich bald bei RTL wieder sehen...

Feels only yesterday that I was watching you in the Hockenheim weekend in 2016, including walking the track after the race. While pole was good shame the race didn't go your way, still, championship at the end. I filmed my whole time there, great time and great video, something a world champion can be pleased with :)

Watching you in this video was more entertaining than the actual race. I agree with you that its difficult to ascertain how hard the drivers are working. The cars just don't look like they're pushing it. FIA and Liberty needs to seriously rethink things
