Either All Might or Gran Torino will die. If it's gt, it will make sense bc he was friends with Nana, a teacher for AM, and a mentor for Deku, so I predict he'll die after float awakens
I could see Gran Torino dying to awake float, expectly how he said "even if a decaying rumble touches you, it happens" maybe during Izuku,Bakagou and crew vs Shigaraki Bakagou blows a wave of decay up sending rumble flying and bam it hits Gran Torino's foot and we see him beginning to decay, Izuku then awakens float and files at Shigaraki picking him up flying up into the air then slamming him into the ground

I don't think Gran Torino will die but yeah it has implied that all might will die before deku truly becomes the number 1 hero.
I can see deku and uraraka being a hero team and starting a family and naming one of their kids toshinori.
I think gran torino and aiwaza will die in the up coming chapters and all might might die within 10-15 chapters

Well Horikoshi is a Star Wars fan. Also, some of MHA story elements comes from Star Wars. All Might defeating All for One is the end of A New Hope and the end of this arc will most likely be the end of Empire Strikes Back.
@Kingdrago101 What are you talking about? Deku is Luke, All Might is Obi-Wan, Grand Torino is Yoda, All for One is Palpatine, Shigaraki is Darth Vader. Also, Tatooine is where the hero's journey begins. Kamino, is where the clones/Nomus are produce. By the look of this arc it's obvious that heroes are going to lose just like what happens in the Empire Strikes back. All because Horikoshi borrows a couple story notes and character archtypes doesn't make it plagerism.

When you really think about it, the Hero All Might has already died. It’s just the man Toshinori still lives.
SpearedHam to be honest it was never about All Might but the symbol. And symbols are hard to kill and become practically immortal when they die and turn into a martyr and thus an idea!
That’s what Toshinori embodies and the flame of his idea will be passed, much like his quirk, to all hero’s after him

This is interesting, because Remember, all quirks have a draw back for each user and what makes things Extra interesting is that they're not even called called "quirks "... they're called *"Individualities"*
Soo if AFO's "personality" a.k.a the "Individuality" sole existing purpose is to collected and/or give quirks, what if the draw back is that the genetic draw back of AFO's power is that it is written in who he is genetically because of ..ya know..his indivuality, is too just ALWAYS Constantly Desire strong quirks/Indiviualities..?? He even says himself: *"I can't help it, when I see a good quirk I just for some reason desire it" -AFO smiling to All Might*
Like..he was born already meant to be who he is...
Which if this is the case, it would imply that every person born with an individuality in My Hero Uni. has a destiny..which *IS* a concept part of the overarching story..
And if this is the case, would also...explain why:
A) Quirks are connected to the brain (where your personality and what makes you *You* is)
B) Why Horikoshi named quirks as "Individuality" instead of simply calling them super powers.
C) and finally, would explain why every most effective user of AFO was "quirkless"/lack a personal identity/indivuality. ..because they already had a will of their own with no "individuality" to dictate their fate, so they were able to *Choose* to be a Hero from the bottom of their own heart, instead of being controlled by their own personality/individuality
Because each individuality is actually just a different personality......just they are the physical manifestations of each person's personality. ..hence why each quirk seems to represent each person's characteristics (at least for most main and repetitive side characters)

I just started to read the manga and seeing the my villain academia arc and then the happy fun times that the U.A students had with Christmas and all it makes me sad to think about how shigaraki is going to turn all those smiles into complete despair and they have no idea how truly severe the situation is right now, he’s unstoppable right now.

Completely agree with u and another that all might needs to die is for deku's character development cause think about it even though he has one for all I don't think he has really accepted his duties as symbol of peace because as awesome as all might is he is really the one thing holding back deku from mastering one for all and the users quirks cause even though all might told him how he need to defeat all for one to set balance to the world he honestly has no motivation too but if his idol and the person he tried to model his life after dies he will snap and probably have a complete 180 and want to get revenge for shigaraki killing his idol and that will be the motivation he needs master one for all and the quirks that come with it cause now he knows what he's fighting for also because the whole one for all and all for one thing was really just layed on him as evil as all for one was deku didn't have any motivation to fight him that's y all mights death needs to happen for deku's growth as a character

Imagine there’s a prison escape whilst all might is talking to stain and the prisoners see all might and since they might know how weak he is and attack him. Seeing this stain protects him as he looks up to all might but gets overwhelmed. He then requests for heroes to come. Then maybe all for one, idk, sees all might and this time actually kills him and after all the havoc is gone, some heroes come including aizawa, gran Torino and deku.

Great dialogue on theory's that could happen as Boko No Hero Academia grows in such a great arc. I could definitely see shigiraki learning the truth about Nana, and hero society taking more responsibility as a a group to truly save society.
I feel like people honestly just forget that the heroes had months to train as well yes shigaraki has alot of power now but some of the students haven't shown there skills yet so I dont think there going to run away atleast I hope they dont

I think All Might won't die at Tartarus unless Deku goes there as well. They will have a similar moment between AM and Nana, but this time, instead of Deku fleeing, he goes into some kind of rage mode (his battle from the opening), maybe even unlocking the next OFA quirk after float.
I think Stain will fight beside all might and protect him to try and save him but then Shiggy arrives and gets his revenge on Stain. But I just don't see AM dying in such a helpless way, sure he has some strength left but there's no way he can trouble shiggy , im sure his death will be with the heroes (imagine AM dying in front of all the heroes). Tartarus will be the perfect place for Shigaraki to construct his HQ, and now that I think about it, what if he doesnt kill AM just yet? What if he wants to make AM watch helplessly as hero society and Japan crumbles before his eyes?

I know its probably gonna happen but near the end of the war arc, even if deku and bakugo would probably lose, I would still like to see them work together on fighting Tomura with their own combined powers to show each other how much they have grown and to have a deeper respect for each other and keep on having a rivalry and striving to be the heroes they want to be become. Also to have the fight to be canon not like in Heroes Rising which was upsetting.

Let’s not and say we did; Right? Right. All Might’s gonna grow nice and old, maybe settle down, take care of his boy, and see him become an awesome Hero. Why? Because he’s still expecting to die, there’s no Irony in knowing you’re going out, no thud on the ol’ heart strings. If we expect him to die, he’s not gonna die; since Horikoshi will say “well that’s no fun, let’s see who aren’t they expecting?” That’s why Crust bit it, why Twice bit it, because both of them would have had genuine impacts on the end game AND we weren’t expecting it. Tension is built in a sea of uncertainty and nicely intertwined with a level of intensity. Also, I don’t think Deku’s at the right point for that kind of Character development, if it is in the cards at all.
This isn’t to say there may not be a major injury, or a close call, or hell even a breath from death...but I just don’t see it for now BECAUSE it’s been theorized forever that All Might will die. It’s still in the cards, and I may even expect it a little from how things are written, which in turn may prevent it.
We can look to other series for this sort of thing, we didn’t expect Jiryia to die, and yet we’re pretty sure he’s out by the end of the show due to the Pain fight.
But yea, it’s certainly plausible, but it just depends on what the community grows to expect and what Horikoshi thinks his audience is leaning toward.
This theory is incredible, wow! If MHA doesn’t go in this direction it’ll be a tragically missed opportunity. I love it! Wow!
22:25-23:10 that’s some great analysis that’s the very essence of what a true hero is and what a society should be. And that’s philosophy that should be remembered forever this time you knocked it out the park it really has me thinking and possibly will for a while. I keep replaying it this was my fourth time and the music makes it even more daunting.

If all might dies I know deku will react kind of like gon finding out kite is dead. Except without the age change.
Imagine when Almight decided to meet stain, it was the same day AFO escape.. in the middle of the conversation, suddenly shiggy comes and destroys the prison and freeing stain in the process, and when shiggy meets almight, and Almight starts talking to shiggy about the truth of AFO.. then when AFO arrives and he sees week Almight and going to kill him, suddenly stain intervenes and saves almight from AFO's attack, and leaving shiggy questioning his goals.
I think this would be amazing to see, especially if it was in anime.

Considering the Mangaka's love of StarWars I'd be amazed if Allmight doesn't have an "if you strike me down, I will become more powerful than you could possibly imagine" moment and dying to become one with the quirk to guide Deku Obi-Wan style.

I noticed how people, including me, missed this detail of Shigaraki.
Shigaraki's left hand was badly injured in his fight against Re-Destro and lost two fingers. That was why he was able to hold the cape when he woke up and started decaying everything. I thought the same thing when I saw that.
And you should see when Shigaraki was lifting his other fingers while holding the quirk-erasing bullets and the phone calling Gigantomachia.

I think something that was interesting when shigaraki was revealed to be nana’s grandson, some fans were confused about all might’s reaction and why he blamed himself. But it makes sense if we remember just how much nana meant to to him. He wanted to succeed where she failed and make her proud. But by honoring her wish to leave her son alone, her only living grandchild became the successor to her murderer. It makes sense he’d feel ashamed by how things have turned out and now he has to watch his master’s own flesh and blood be taken down by his fellow heroes.
But when you think about it, how could he have known? Would he have been able to spare tomura and his family the tragedy that would happen? Could he have taken in her son like aizawa took in eri, or had a hero taken him in? Could he have kept watch of the her son while maintaining a distance?
With how stubborn he is to save everyone, I’d think if he hadn’t promised his master, he would have wanted to watch over her son. Maybe he feels he could have done something or wanted to do something but decided not to, and now regrets it.
Does all might still see tomura as the villain he is? Or is his view of him changed? We don’t know how he feels about him.
I’d like there to be a conversation between all might and shigaraki but since all might can’t put up a fight, and shigaraki wouldn’t be interested in anything he has to say, so I doubt these two will have any conversation.
I'm gonna cry like a newborn baby if All Might's passing executes itself like this. And then that pain is gonna come back for round two, as I see Izuku initially fall apart, and step up as hero over time. After that event, I'm sure the name 'Deku' will make itself known to the world. And we're all gonna have front row seats.
I think Stain would protect All Might if the prison got attacked.

Not only will Shigaraki steal All For One's remaining quirks, I think he will steal most, if not all, of the quirks of the previous generation's top heroes. Endeavor, Eraser Head, Ryukyu, Kamui Woods, Edgeshot etc. They have been the "All Might" rescue squad for a while, and I think Tomura taking, stealing, twisting and using those quirks against the very society they helped prop up and protect, will be yet another way to tear down the very pillars holding it up. He's turning the heroes best weapons against them in the ultimate act of mockery and destruction. He wouldn't just be destroying hero society, he'd be totally undermining it, humiliating it and defiling it, which is something he's wanted to do since the day it failed him.
It also clears the old generation out to make room for the new. With no top heroes really left, and many holes in the upper echelon of the good side, it allows our current cast to fill those spots and really come into themselves as they improve through adversity, becoming the world class saviors we know they will be.
Ok just a reminder that after the stain arc all might specifically said one for all can't be taken by force which is why it is the only quirk that can take on all for one meaning that deku is safe from losing the quirk
To me everyone keeps forgetting this is a h8gh school themed series an the main characters are teachers an students so light hearted school moments are a must

Just like he protected Deku from the Nomu. Protecting his ideology of a real hero with conviction.
I could totally see that happening and I think both All Might and All for One dying would be very symbolic and also Mirror Kamino where they both had their last battle
I'm sad that one of the recent chapters mentioned just having the amount of all for one that shigaraki was given have him this insatiable need to go out into the world and take One for All for his own, because I was dreaming up this scenario where he kills AFO and completes the quirk, but then he just looks up and asks "why? Don truly need anything more?" And then just seemingly from nowhere, he is basically possessed by his old aloof attitude, and decided that at this point, with pretty much no one capable of stopping him, why continue, the catharsis about his youth, Nana, and AFO's guiding hand just lifting the unbearable weight off his subconscious, and that thirst to destroy everything just evaporates. He just disappears and goes out into the world, a walking nuclear bomb, yet he is unconcerned with heroes and villains, just enjoying life, kinda like an optimistic Dr. Manhattan, I think it has the potential to be beautiful)

Matt Boyd it isn’t, deku is only at 30% and can use 45% for a moment and he hasn’t even unlocked 100% of ofa or any of the other quirks yet he isn’t even a pro hero yet too
