@user-hz8uq7cw7i The PVD should hold great for years, if not decades. I have an Invicta Diver two-tone which is Gold Plated (PVD is better than plated) and the Gold Plating is remarkable even after scratches. So yeah.
@@pingvinjeit did and it’s pretty nice, a little slow out of the box compared to my wives powermatic 80. I honestly only wear it one or two days a week. I also just purchased the delugs rubber strap with gold keeper, waiting for it to arrive next week.
It's a really cool watch and that strap seems like a quality unit (which it darn well should be). I've been thinking I'd choose the black dial 40mm in quartz (and possibly remove the second hand b/c it misses most if not all of the markers). The quartz case is slightly thinner which is a nice thing on a watch "like this", and I admit I haven't warmed up to the Powermatic 80. I'd rather have less power reserve, but also know that I can get the watch serviced long-term without relying on the availability & fair pricing of service provided by the manufacturer. Anyway, most importantly: enjoy it in good health. 👍🍻
Thanks for sharing such a helpful review!! I have been on the fence for the 40mm PRX automatic in gold forever, and this video was the deciding factor in purchasing one today! The green delugs strap is so perfect with that gold dial, and I plan on getting one too lol. Love your content, I've just subscribed!!
Powermatic 80 movements cannot be regulated because there is no regulator, it is factory set. I do not like watches that loose that is why I avoid watches with this movement in them.
Yes, PVD is a technique to cover a surface. In this instance the surface is covered with gold. vaportech.com/what-is-pvd-coating-an-intro-to-physical-vapor-deposition-other-thin-film-deposition-technologies/
@@TimeAndCrown you are correct on the process of PVD but PDV gold the pvd gold does not contain any gold. Not a single atom. It's stainless steel with a titanium coating, that has a golden color. Wish you were right but its not real gold my friend. I just ordered this piece can't wait to put it on wrist.
To be fair it COULD be real gold. For instance, the Longines HydroConquest is covered in a yellow gold PVD and they state on their website that they use real gold in the process. However Tissot does not state as such and has 1N14 in their description which is related to the gold color attained from a PVD process that does not contain gold. So it’s possible to have real gold in a PVD coating and I wish Tissot would have done that here, but then I’m sure the price would go up. Either way, I plan on picking one of these up as well.
When the natural light hits 3:38 , that PVD gold tone is amazing
The 35mm version is a stunner.
Agreed 100%
It will not look good on bigger wrists 40 mm perfect for bigger wrists

This watch is so beautiful. I am currently saving up for one myself. Was set on the stainless version but seeing this review made me reconsider.

It looks more like an Oysterquartz than the RO imo.
@@thedarksoul2104 Definitely a huge inspiration for the PRX.
I think it looks a tad big on the wrist, no?
Lugs don’t overhang at all. Also, who cares if they do. Let people wear what they want to wear.
Lugs overhang? Where does it mention they overhang? If lugs overhang you aren’t in the ballpark when it comes to correct fitment. 7:44.
Yeah, that’s definitely not 18k gold plated. It’s just gold tone PVD. Great looking watch though.
I am not a fan of the movement. Mine is also a few seconds negative. Lucky you can adjust…oh that’s right you cant. Winding it on the 35 is terrible.
it looks beautiful on natural light, but looks soooo pissy yellow on artificial light.
delugs is singapore
that is a gorgeous city. Wish to visit it someday.
I'm a student,, but I always wish I could have any prx,,, I'd be forever grateful if you give me any prx!
