- The Orlando Magic have a lot of decision to make internally before they enter free agency next weekend. How will they handle extensions for Franz Wagner and Jalen Suggs? What will they do with a pair of veteran team options? And will they bring anybody back any of their unrestricted free agent this offseason? These are part of the first questions for a busy offseason.

@@LockedOnMagic only thing to keep in mind, is blood in arteries will be saturated EXCEPT the pulmonary (on its way to the lungs to get oxygenated), and the inverse is true of veins 😉
Idk if going into next summer needing to sign extensions with Jalen, Franz AND Paolo is a good idea. I really think small markets need to lock in their homegrown talent, if you believe in them sign them. Too much can go wrong. Make your moves this offseason and stop kicking the can down the road.
I'm a little concerned as to whether we can keep all of these guys together.
Is there a chance if we do that with Mo someone like Detroit could come in and offer him a contract we don’t want to match?
It is possible that they might come in with a bigger contract offer. But I doubt the Magic decline his team option without first agreeing to a new deal. All of this stuff is more orchestrated than we think.
@@LockedOnMagic I agree there would be some type of understanding before it’s done, but that doesn’t stop another team that would want him from getting him. It would be tampering if any other team negotiated with him right now in the event the suspect that’s what Orlando was going to do. I fully think Moe’s intention and heart would be in Orlando but faced with an opportunity of a big payday a decision would have to be made. They’d absolutely love him in Detroit, it’s a gamble.
Franz isn’t worth 40 mil man …. He’s like 30 mil max I’m sorry
He could’ve been had he made his 3s at high level and done more offensively. Unfortunately imo he’s just not where we wanted him to be. That being said he’s still a top 5 SF for future NBA talent and not just at his age or in the east as a whole. There’s just not many under 30 year olds skilled at anything. That’s the problem with this economy and it hurts because many older adults aren’t getting the money because they’re qualified either. That being said he’s gonna get the max probably especially because he probably honestly doesn’t want another down year from outside and will work hard to achieve success from outside next season!
I have a ton of thoughts about the ORL Magic franchise going forward this offseason. My first question is who are they gonna get to put around Suggs , Franz , and Banchero. All (3) are killing it and will continue to kill it. (3) first rounders coming soon, and lot of cap space.
Perfect. Maybe (3) offensive players on short term deals would be best. Add (3) rookies to be our PG/C of the future.

Franz is going to get a starting salary of $30-33 million in his first year. with 8% raises, by the time the contract ends he will make more than $40m. Important to remember that the salary cap will grow faster than the maximum raises.

Yes, you are sorry because if you don’t think a guy that is a gold medal winner and the second best player on your team at the age of 22 that has at least 15 years of professional basketball experience left to play than you don’t understand the game completely it’s all about variables.

I do not agree with your free agency ideas.
Nor Wagner nor Suggs are worth more than 20-22 mln a year. And if I know about sports in general, more than you all season long disrespecting Markelle Fultz, Fultz will extend for two years and take close to 20 mln a year. This season he came out of the bench cause the team needs that but if they found a good sixth man ( Cole Anthony can't play decisive minutes) Fultz will go back as a starter. He is a star. Start to respect him, you speak bad enough. Not fair for his talent.
The salary cap is increasing dramatically in the next few years. I think you can see from the deal Immanuel Quickley got that Suggs is going to cost more than $30m per year, especially if he continues to improve. I would expect Franz to get near the max. Almost certainly more than $35m. I love Fultz. He is a great dude. I would love to bring him back for his presence and calm on the court. But his shooting regression is really concerning. It is hard to win at a high level in this league with a guard who struggles to shoot.
Tobias over Joe. Fultz stays. JI goes nowhere. Goga stays, AB starts unless Paul George shows up.
Why keep fultz if we can get Thompson George monk or jones? I like fultz and think he can thrive somewhere with real shooters but that won’t be here
