I love getting some doughs from my local pizzeria, making my own sauce and picking my own toppings and making a bunch of these for friends. Works really well on a propane grill too (I have a nice Weber)
There's a place in Gilbert, Arizona that used to make the absolute best grilled flatbread pizzas. Unfortunately they had issues with their clamshell grills and discontinued them. They were absolutely phenomenal and I'd fly there in a heartbeat if they ever bring them back
All that shaping and stretching the dough with your hands, all you have to do is put the palm of your hand over the top and roll it around till it’s smooth
@@CoolJay77 it’s a lot of people’s methods and it makes no difference, think about stretch and folds for a loaf of bread, you’re preserving as much of the large pockets of air as possible. With pizza your pushing out as much of the large pockets as possible like he does with the rolling pin or with flattening with hands
@@Shroomunati My go to is Neapolitan pizza which cannot be made with a rolling pin. I've used rolling pins when making thin flatbreads, so much easier to push out the air, obtain a thin dense dough, than by stretching by hand.
that's not a pizza. 1 you never use a rolling pin to open dough. do not know where you learned to do it that way , go to ITALY to larn to make it propperly .Bouna gornata e impara.
Two heavyweights in the cooking world are doing a video together. Perfect start to my morning!
Kenji has mastered the polite laugh
My thoughts exactly. Grant does not like sharing the camera. He looked like bored kid.
Kenji is such a great guy and chef.. please bring him back!
We’ve grilled pizza before and loved it. But this is next level. I cannot wait to try it again.
I have never seen Kenji look that neat
In his videos he's usually flip flopping about his kitchen at midnight looking slightly blurry
Or so slim and fit! Lol

Kenji is the bomb…love that guy
Love it! I've been following you both for years. It was just a question of time before you "found" each other.
Was wondering when this crossover was going to happen ever since Kenji moved to Seattle, love it
Wow. I love it.
Love Kenji
Kenji and ChefSteps yaaaaas
Ah yeah defos gonna try that this weekend!
Awesome collab
Me as a kid: Hulk Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior are teaming up 💪!!!
Me now: Kenji and Grant are teaming up! 🍕
Same vibe :-)
Kenji’s great. Calm, knowledgable and excited about food. Great guest.
Its kind of a flat bread pizza at this point. Looks amazing!
Al Forno is amazing!!!

thank you
Never knew Kenji could be that neat and lean ❤
How is this not a regular collab now that they’re both in Seattle?!
Wow, I've read Kenji say he's a nerd and proud to be one. But he's not A nerd, he's THE nerd
Al Forno !!!
Which Weber should I get? Original 22, premium 22, or 26?
You deserve to get all three
Great video, is that the new Ed Sheeran watch? Cool 😎
Kenji is the best. Should be working far more with ChefSteps...
It's weird seeing Kenji's face in a video. I'm so used to his POV style
Yeah
Notice how Joshua Weissman crept back in the middle of the video.
What kind of pizza is that?
Cheese 🤷🏻♂️
Joshua Weisman doppelganger cameo at 5:44
Joshua is a Matthew Woollen doppelgänger FYI
So they never moved their studio huh?
Kenji's next book will be about pizza?
My dream combo team
Seems cruel to post this in late October.
Timing is great in San Diego! 😂
that sauce is still raw.
Can we get a Gluten Free dough recipe?
''Grams of water..''
Oh.. Americans.....
One bite everyone knows the rules

That is Kenji's recipe of pushing the air out. Your method would yield a different texture.

One bite.
Channeling Chandler: could this Grant Crilly BE any more irritating? (He's the guy you don't want to start a convesation with at a party)
Too much thought.
that no pizza , just grilled flat bread with toppings😡😡
RIPizza 🍕🤷♂

Dave Portnoy makes better pizza
Did he show, how to make a pizza?
Who’s Dave Pornoy?
From what I've heard, he "makes" some women feel very uncomfortable. I don't think he does much beyond taking bites out of pizza.
Shh 🤫
Any time a public figure gets called out for sexual assault a million weirdos go online and pretend to be their fan.
Meh
Keep your opinion to yourself, Mr Nobody.
@@bidfor cute
@@bidformeh for sure
Kenji I am sure this tastes delicious but that is not pizza - sorry! Flatbread at best.
you can do the exact same thing with a pan and an oven, why overcomplicate this? 🤔
Uh, because it isn't grilled?
WRONG! The dough wont be crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside... and did you miss the fact that it is done over a grill?
Too bad Kenji is a 🤡.
WHAT ?
