I went to the queen concert in Melbourne a couple of years ago , Adam lambert was the vocalist for that tour , by the end of the concert it felt like Freddy was still alive ! They included Freddy in the background on video so it was almost like duets during some songs .queen was probably the best band of all time in my eyes. If I can figure out tech lol I’ll add your channel to my faves too ! I might have to ask my kids to borrow their tech skills lol
Delta is amazing. Not only did she survive Hodgkins Lymphoma when young, more recently she lost her voice completely after a nerve was nicked during throat surgery- it took her over a year to relearn how to talk as her mouth just wasn’t doing what her brain told it to.
Farnham’s concert had nothing to do with the Opera House or Sydney. It was at the National Tennis Centre in Melbourne, a concert arena venue. He sang with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra I think that’s where the confusion is.
Well, the confusion comes from lots of neural connections that have been severed from several years of substance abuse and mental. anguish some partly my own fault and others because of circumstances and life itself. Tool saved me though!!!! And you know about the um. thing about making them. the best of your time I always say stop counting the days and make the days count. So thank you for acknowledging this near and dear to my heart. Also the health issues and being sick I don't personally know about cancer other than through family members that have died. Deltas a wonderful singer / performer she has a great voice and having survived a life threatening illness when younger this song is one that she can no doubt relate to she absolutely nailed it!
I heard about her Hodgkins Lymphoma battle, and about the botched surgery that almost ended her career. It's horrible, but at the same time it's astounding that she was able to overcome those challenges to have so much success! Much respect! 🙏
Okay, in all seriousness, Mrs. Goodrem has an amazing voice with both power and sensitivity. I love her elongated vowels and fast, even vibrato. She's also a very seasoned and charismatic performer. And yeah, she's VERY easy on the eyes. Loved the reaction my friend. Your infectious laugh, engaging personality, and honest observations are always a joy to experience. ❤️🌀🤟

The song is actually not about homophobia- it’s about facing death. Brian May wrote the lyrics and asked a dying Freddy to sing it. It’s about facing death, and powering on to make the most of the time you have left ❤ thks Danny knew you’d love this

Just had another listen to this (your reaction's adorable).
You mentioned Delta's breathy "are" and "for". These are good examples of what I meant the other day, about rhotic and on-rhotic pronunciation. In American/ Canadian/ Scottish/ Welsh rhotic speech, you pronounce a hard R - arr and forr. In Aussie/ Kiwi/ English non-rhotic speech, we pronounce a soft R - ah and foh. With words ending in R, we usually drop the R: my name for example, most people here pronounce as "Jenifuh", and I absolutely adore you guys pronouncing it properly, as it was meant to be: Jennifer. Love it!

@@DannyLeeOGT don't ever change your speech, especially the way you say my name. I'm just nerdy about speech and dialects, and the melting pot of origins that brought them about. There's a wonderful book called The Adventure Of English (and an eponymous BBC series) which traces the English language forward from its ancient roots to all of its range of permutations today. It's filled with wars, invasions, mass exoduses and all manner of derring do. Language is a living, breathing organism that is constantly evolving. Fascinating stuff.
Delta a complications after surgery in 2018 that totally paralysed her touch!!
She could not speak or talk at all.
It took more than a year to sing again.
Basicly any "analysis" of her pronunciation must take this into account.
There are phrases that she simply can't say anymore.
The fact that this is all you can pick on this performance is testomy to the hard work she put in to get somewhere close to normal peach again.

You might be interested to see Delta perform an Olivia-Newton John medley of some of her famous songs at the state memorial for Olivia held earlier this year.
