Your cattle panel greenhouse looks a whole lot better than my Harbor Freight greenhouse after the 60 mile an hour winds we got in January. But I still plan on cobbling it back together. Grow on!!
GOOD JOB! I like your attitude of fixing things instead of shelling out more money. My husband has saved us thousands of $$$ over the years with his ability to build and repair all sorts of things.
Just wanted to Thank you. You've inspired me to fix up our cattle panel greenhouse. We were going to take it down, but now I think we should fix it up. Have a blessed day.
I am so with you! I built my chicken coops with mostly reclaimed garbage leavins in construction sites..Only from their garbage bins..My two raised beds we did purchase the base wood, PVC had to create a cover from rabbit invasion and our chickens, and yep we got a snow storm (never ever ever since 1954 did Scottsdale get any measurable anything called snow and we got 10 inches!!) Yep destroyed my PVC chicken wire covers! That stuff weighs a ton!! Now a few years later I am (72yrs young) rebuilding because I am old and just cannot crawl into my PVC hinged covered beds...Going slow but Here I am again inventing on a Social Security only budget...sure is taking some time, but it is going to be awsome!
Not a fun job, but a way to honor your father. I was surprised how much it cost to put in our local paper. I ended putting a shorter version in the paper. We then made first an announcement to mail out, and a wonderful trifold to give out later at his celebration of life with a more complete life story. My Dad passed away last May, my mother loved being able to send this out to friends and family. 70 years of marriage a life well lived. Very sad to write, I shed many tears in the process of writing it and looking at all the photos. Glad I did it and then made a video. You can do this ❤❤❤
Definitely agree with you. And it looks just fine for what it’s for. I grew up pretty poor, we made do with what we had. And made what we could with what we had. Great job y’all are doing! ❤
You are so right it doesn't need to be the ritz but if it serves it's purpose then that's all that matters function before fashion. Hope you have a great growing season.
It looks like the steeper side is the North side and the flatter is the South side. That actually gives you a slight benefit because the plastic faces the sun just a bit better with the "out-of-shape."
Our greenhouse is 3 panels long and we live in Maine so snow is always a threat. With that in mind I took some wire to join them where their edges meet at regular intervals. It has been a chicken run, greenhouse and now storage as we scored a new to us greenhouse made with top rails every 4 feet. I worry more about the new one, the old one is battle tested!❤
Cool. Love anything to do with gardening. It’s why I came to your channel in the first place when you were back at your old place. Man you grew some amazing tomato’s back then and how many zucchini bread/cakes did Jen make.
It looks fine i don't have anything thing 🙃 had a tiny one with 4 shelves but my son thought the clear cover was gross didn't know you spray them off lol or even what it was 😅😂 took it to the dump 😅
we made our greenhouse last summer with as much free and used materials as possible it has so far stood up to heavy snow, rain, wind etc. the base is from one of those protection for cars that is called a garage but is a frame with a covering however this is one of the older stronger ones and we had to taken it down. the poles are really and strong and we made wooden ends with used windows and a free door we found at the dump. we had used cattle panel that is not nice and even and we had to buy enough to cover the poles and i had to buy plastic.
PVC pipes to spring them and keep them up. It isnt as heavy. All I used was PVC pipe with a smaller metalic conduit inside the peak PVC. Used cattle pannels for compost as it takes the heat of the pile without deforming.
Off topic but I think you can help. Ever since my finances have crashed a few months ago. Now I'm making hard choices. So the problem is now whenever I'm around anyone who is able to buy something better quality or hire a work project, or go out to eat, I get this feeling inside me that I don't like. Mostly it feels like guilt for being optionless. Any advice would be appreciated. I have no one for support.
I’m all about repurposing things I call my chicken coop red neck coop because everything was on my property except for door and insulation I had to buy. Who cares what it looks like as long as it works

I am sure you have a nice greenhouse
Check out my harbor freight greenhouse makeover!! I put clear corrugated panels on mine and raised it up with cement pillars.
You've inspired me. Every year I tell myself I'm going to build one and I always put it off.
I've told myself the same. Mine needs an upgrade. 2024 is the year of action.
Your cattle panel greenhouse is beautiful and I hope to make one just like it someday!

I was so down today, writing my dad’s obituary. Your video popped up in perfect time. I look forward to them. Thank you.
You are all in our prayers. I am so sorry. I remember doing that myself. ❤
I'm so sorry for your loss. Please know I'll be praying for you and loved ones.

In the winter, we put a few posts because of the snow here in Northern Michigan.
Had an early snow dump and learned a lesson.
Put post in early.. .
It looks great! Great job.

Love your greenhouse

I love this! We do the best work what we've got. The end goal is to grow food, right?
Great advice

Nice greenhouse
We have a little one. I priced out the materials today. 8x16 = $500. Thanks covid
I want one too.
Thank you.
Your cattle panel greenhouse looks like my cattle panel woodshed! Winter was rough on them this year!
Looks good. 😊

I made a high tunnel out of cattle panels that works just fine

Attach the panels together with zip ties.
Greenhouse is a tool, not an engagement ring...lol
Exactly, be creative.
That’s a great greenhouse. Who needs pretty to eat?❤
I love this video
dont junk it I will take it.

Bring back your old intro music!
