E.g. printers, scanners, cameras and phones etc. Type-b has multiple formats e.g. The original type-b you find on printers and then mini and micro-b which you might find on phones or cameras. Type c is a much more modern connection type and can have the same connection on both the host and device side

Nice job. Client can feel safe in the knowledge that it’s been done well. Might have missed it, but did you need to pull in a new supply for the hob? If yes, could you have pulled 2 new legs of the ring as well? How did it go with the flex of the hob vs open draw below? I’ve been loving a bit of flexi copex for cupboard wiring on the slightly more budget kitchens that are going in on my current job, and deep patrice boxes too - hate cramped/squashed cables in boxes. Cheers, enjoyed.

Great tip with the masking tape and great job the only thing down points is kitchen company’s all ways issue cool white tape when it needs to match warm white lights that are are already in the kitchen Nice job but 👍
Nice job lads - Chris on the white twin socket that you will be changing ( fridge freezer) what is holding in the metal back box to the cupboard - do you make your own holes in the edge of the box and screw into the cabinet. ???
Your trim plate screws should've been vertical, mate 🫨 Well that's how we do across the pond, at least in my area. I'm told they catch less dust & grime if vertical.
@@kobirelf97 Well seems very odd. Double sockets are connected to each other and the in/out RFC via metal strappers, Chris has just made a double socket with a T&E flex 'strapper'. They are electrically identical, but seems like more points of potential failure. Probably didn't have the parts on the van ;-) - or hadn't known at the wholesalers quite where the appliances were going.

Double sockets are said to be rated at less than 26A (in theory they could be asked to carry 26A) whereas each single is rated at 13A. He says doubles burn out in kitchens. Personally I'd put the oven on its own radial (possibly with hob as oven is fused in the plug).

Quick scratch free tip.. piece of masking tap over screw holes, screws in then peel away and wipe after tightening..

Little tip Chris have the drill in forward not reverse and it will smash through those back cupboards lol, great vid guys keep it up
And a Bosch speed spade bit rather than a holesaw
@@Hammy135 Spade bits will chip the finish around the holes so not a good idea. Spades are best for rough work only.

I was also wondering how it is held in place, I was expecting a drywall back box?
The back box has holes already in the side for fixing like that.

With those 2 sockets in the cupboard Chris, why did you opt for 2 separate single sockets over 1 double socket ?.
Because it's for two different appliances it's quite easy to tell if something goes wrong what socket has the fault
