    I really appreciate what you’re doing Rainn. I tend to be the “weird guy” who gives credit and thanks to God in an industry that does not (technology). You speaking about this unapologetically means a lot. Thanks for this type of content. We need it.

    23:26 Gen Z here, love this message. One line that helps me is "what can I learn from this?" I've realized that life gets easier to transition through when you accept that learning doesn't end after school, and that everyone is both a student and teacher. "Bad" times aren't something meant to tear us down, but to strengthen.

      As a whole though, your generation is obsessed with identity and self-pity and victimhood. This has been my experience, not only from social media and regular media, but from many friends and real interactions with Gen Z regarding Existential and philosophical topics. No offense to you or any other individual who’s part of Gen Z generation. But I’m not seeing any sort of transformation besides some sort of regression quite frankly when it comes to spirituality.

    This was incredible! So how about the synchronicity between you and me. There is so many but I’ll name a few. I was born in Yakima WA and lived in Olympia WA from 6 months to a little over 2 when long story short we moved to Hyde Park Chicago and settled in Evanston IL where I went to ETHS, the rival of New Trier and I spent a lot of time in Skokie and I think I know the exact street you are talking about. Also the Bahai temple in that area is so beautiful and I spent a lot of time there. My dad died suddenly when I was 15 and I was shipped to Little Rock WA just south of Tumwater where I graduated from THS ‘08. Mount Rainier is now what I recognize as my spiritual center! I like I’m Olympia still and the majestic awe I feel every time I see it is literally that definition of spiritual center. I have known for many years that eventually we will meet and have many meaningful conversations. You are so awesome!!!

    Thank you for this open, warm (also hilarious), and pertinent discussion!
    Rainn, your performance on the show The Office as Dwight got me through some of the roughest times of my life. The laughs you gave me at the time and place you offered them saved me from utter nihilism and helped me find a doorway through the absurd and into awareness. My life will never be the same, and I wanted to express my gratitude for the subtle yet powerful role you played in helping me find well-being.
    Dr. Lisa, your openness and calmness are truly inspiring. The words you speak carry such profound meaning, and I bow to the divinity within you! Thank you for sharing your experience and insights into the nature of our being! The clarity and vibrations you exude are felt!

    I love that Dr Miller brought up the idea that the brain does not only generate thoughts but that it can receive thoughts. There is also evidence that the brain is a holographic transceiver. I actually gave a demonstration of this concept at the last Soul Boom gathering in Wendell MA. 'Abdu'l-Bahá said that, "The reality of man is his thought..." Which begs the question of whose thoughts are forming our reality.

    Fantastic discussion. And I have a question: what about psychopaths, sociopaths, narcissists, who can be sadistic? They're still spiritual beings, but are their brains unable to receive or embody their highest self, or a higher consciousness? If their brains are literally wired to hurt others, are they forever unable to live spiritual lives?

    I love the message and I'm glad people are opening up to a spiritual reawakening but as an Elder Millennial Witch, these are the things we were exploring when we were young. The Zeitgeist movement, The Venus Project, Indigo children, and so many more avenues of spiritual discovery. I don't understand the dismissal.

    • @leemiles62
      @leemiles62 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@SoulBoom There was so much that stuck with me. The idea that it takes reaching that point of deep existential questioning to begin the soul path exploration. I feel I’ve arrived at that point in my own life. Like many, I delayed and ignored these questions for years. Now, I find myself in what you and Neil have referred to as "sniper’s alley." It’s comforting to know that I’m not alone on this journey, Rainn. I’m asking the questions and opening myself up to discovering my soul’s path. As you beautifully stated..my goal is to make my sails more attuned to the subtle breezes that guide us.
      Sorry for the TL;DR :)

      If that were real, there would be thousands of independently replicated studies already. Took me a while to find it, because she says Achterhof, but it's Achterberg. I had to buy her book to get the right name (just kidding). It's called "Evidence for correlations between distant intentionality and brain function in recipients: a functional magnetic resonance imaging analysis". It was published in 2005. I like the general message she's giving, but there's hundreds, maybe thousands, of other people competing in her business, including Rainn. The "science" thing is just her hook. The mountain thing is a trick any "psychic" can pull off, assuming Rainn isn't just in on it. Can't help but wonder if her plane story isn't just made up to push the whole synchronicity thing. And all that praising of Gen Z on how amazing they're doing, is just her buttering up her target market, people that are just the right age to fall for this kind of age-old BS. She has generalized religion, turned that into it's own religion, and claims it's all based on science. Sound familiar?

    I think ironically people see religion and spirituality as very black and white. It's so much easier to be open to a perspective when you don't think of it all as fact or trying to prove a point but just like reading a book, take from it what works for and leave the rest

      Well, you’re extremely incredulous and can’t really open your mind up. It sure seems. Yes, spirituality and mindfulness are scientifically proven to help overcome things like depression and anxiety. That’s a sweeping generalization? 🤦‍♂️

    • @jenyi545
      @jenyi545 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@kylebushnell2601 I’m coming from my perspective as a RN for 18 yrs and someone with anxiety and depression from PTSD. Maybe it’s semantics but she says depression can be healed. No it can’t. Anxiety and depression can be managed, but they are always with you. Mindfulness and spirituality are one tool that can be used. Not the great healer like this guest states it to be. This is spiritual bypassing.
      I also don’t like when people say that bad things happen FOR you and not To you. So my childhood SA happened FOR me, not TO me? OK great. 🙄
      She comes off as someone who lives in an echo chamber where she is always the “expert” and others are always seeking her expertise. Honestly this episode is a DNF for me so maybe I missed some more nuanced points.

    • @benjamincrabtree3102
      @benjamincrabtree3102 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jenyi545she mentioned that she has struggled with depression numerous times. I don’t think she is just brushing off depression and anxiety. You mention that she comes off as someone who lives in an echo chamber where she is the expert, and then states your 18 years of nursing in your comment. That doesn’t make you an expert in psychology, neuroscience, or spirituality. It makes you an expert in your field.
      When she’s is talking about, “what happened for me instead of to me”, is reframing (DBT). That, in no way, invalidates the trauma of SA, or abuse and trauma of any kind. Nor does it condone it. That wasn’t even a reference she gave.
