    This was perfect. All things equal with exact performance comparison of the two coils I’m interested in. Here’s my take. For coins, not such a big difference. For small gold the minelab was 50% better ! I see a lot of gold being found with the 6” coil on TH-cam. I live in a Gold Belt area. I’m buying the 6” coil. Iv done my homework but your video with that tiny piece of gold drove a nail in Coiltek’s coffin and saved me big $$. Thank you !

    Son what you probably don't realize is that when your target is in the ground the elements join somewhat together and you can pick up signals at greater depths because air acts as an insulator. Hope this helps. Plus I have one question ❓ Have you noticed that with the minelab 800 and 900 that you get back aches and also in your spine ? Let me know please cause I am in my 60's and was just wondering if it was because I am getting older or that maybe it may have something to do with the pulses of radiation coming from the machine. Appreciate it and will wait for your response. God bless you. 👍✝️✌️

    Hey, I like the video but have a couple questions now. I am trying to decide which coil is better for that small gold, the 6" minelab coil or coiltek 10x5? You thought the 6" did better, you are one of the few on TH-cam that have both coils and the only one to use a small piece of gold for a air test. From a air test done by Simone on TH-cam with #9 birdshot, he found that with small items the center of the coiltek coil is the dead zone or it is the least sensitive area and the tip and heal of the coil are the most sensitive areas. You waived the little gold piece on your test in the center of the coiltek coil and I was wondering if you could do that test over again with just that .1 gram gold nugget and move it across the tip? It would be great if you were in gold mode 2 also and include the stock coil in that test with 6" and 10x5. Not sure if anyone else out there has any first hand experience with the 6" coil vs the 10x5 coil for small gold and which works better for depth and overall gold targets? Thanks

    That’s all good and said but you only did it American coins and only a small piece of gold, I’m sure that all coins from around the world will no doubt read
    different numbers some higher some lower. I don’t expect you to have a whole lot of world coins at hand but would have been good to compare say an Australian 20 cents piece compared to say quarter dollar even though size comparison 20 cents would be slightly bigger, personally I think of you go to a 6 inch you’ll lose at least 6-8 inches in circumference of a target, your depth reading was pretty spot on with the 6 inch coil 7-9 inches would be average for park mode but beach mode would go slightly deeper, as I have found here in Australia,but overall thanks for the time you put into it

  • @clawbennett
    @clawbennett 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I like the test, but I have to say the winner is the 6" Minelab over the 10x5 Coiltek. Reason being at 6" x 5.5" for the Minelab it's getting great depths and will fit in tighter areas compared to the 10x5" coiltek. A good comparison would be the 10x5 to the stock 11" minelab coil.

So we tried the xp deus with 9 inch hf and even though it struggled it did see it. We put the standard coil back on the equinox and it didn't have a problem seeing the coin even about 4 inches above the ground. So those people saying there's not a lot of difference in depth between the 10 x 5 and the standard nox coil they couldn't be further from the truth
