Crazy how much further behind the baseline Serena played in 2022. He dropped the ball shorter and gave opponents more time. I felt if she could just step 1-2 closer to the baseline during rallies she could’ve gone further 2022 US open.

You could see, the moment the little adjustment steps disappeared, she was losing the match.
So strange, because she has the better serve, and Venus has the better footwork.
