I see that TH-cam removed my “lab theory” comment. Damn, it’s been proven to be true and the social media powers that be are still protecting their Chinese overlords.
5:23 Always found this one weird, as the chicken hearts were seemingly supposed to be the special gross item of that season's Auction, but there's nothing wrong with chicken hearts? It seems that all they did was boil them or something so they were probably kinda bland but other than that, heart is just a muscle and eating them when cooked normally is like eating regular chicken meat, just a bit more chewy
Imagine if one of the contestants is allergic to penuts and they get a mystery item that has peanut butter or some sort a peanut and they just goes “ Y’all got epi pens “
They know the survivors allergies. They wouldn’t have an auction with any stuff that even one person is allergic too. So they wouldn’t serve anything with peanuts
I have gone through every Survivor Auction and found the worst purchases throughout all the season. Some items were good for one player and bad for another, others were very little portions (especially for the price), and other items were either just gross or completely useless. Tell me your opinion. Which purchase has been the very worst in Survivor history? Here is a link to the BEST Survivor Auction Purchases of All Time: th-cam.com/video/zqjS4mjGEhc/w-d-xo.html
Worst outcomes: - Bowl of white rice (multiple auctions) - Amber's river water - A Coconut - Bat soup - Trip to Exile, courtesy of tribe mate (multiple seasons)
The only items from the Outback auction that weren’t pitifully small were the burger and the thanksgiving dinner. Everything else could be eaten in three bites or less.
In the earlier seasons of survivor Jeff used to offer the castaways nothing but a morsel of food a damn tease of a snack and he used to charge them an arm and a leg for it like he would charge $1000 for 3 Doritos which is total disrespect in my book
Share the pie you fool. Seriously John, that's the dumbest move at an auction. Outside Mike's middle finger to the rest of the cast in worlds apart obviously.
I've said this before on other videos. He was in a position where if he shared it with anyone it would reveal his alliances. He was in the middle of two different alliances, so taking the pie for himself was probably his best choice in the moment. We might see it as stupid, watching it back on TH-cam, but when you are in that moment, you need to make decisions quickly, that sometimes don't work either way
10:15 Can someone explain to me what exactly happened? I know that the previous one opened the scroll and had to leave, but of the next two, one did not take the scroll and the other did which made him angry. But what were those final scrolls? And why did the girl return hers? Were they the same as the guy who had to leave earlier?
They were letters from home. The group had decided to each spend $20 bucks so they could all get a letter and still have the same amount of money to have a fair chance at the upcoming advantage being auctioned off. Mike went last and didn't buy one. Essentially tricking the group and securing the advantage for himself. Although he did go and buy a letter after the fact his fate with the group was already sealed.
@@spex One of the single dumbest moves ever made. An advantage means nothing when the entire tribe unanimously wants you gone. EVEN IF you won immunity every single round, the jury still hates you.
A lot of people didn’t buy anything the entire auction so they could all bid on a chance to win an advantage. However there were letters from home and they all agreed they would buy it for 20 so they could still all have the same chance at getting the advantage, but that one guy decided to backtrack and not buy the letter, even though the others did so he would automatically win with the most amount of money. At the end people were returning their letters tho and he decided to just buy them. Hope that clears it up
@@pokkemuur6539 Frankly the way the show should have dealt with this was to end the auction without an advantage one year, making everyone who didn't buy anything get nothing. Would set president for future auctions that just because an advantage came in the past, does not mean you will get one in the future. Also any advantage you get in front of the whole tribe is a curse more than an advantage, it just puts a target on your back.
To be fair, in the early seasons, the food portions in the auctions were smaller compared to the latter seasons. So the idea that they are "worst" is moot or relative.
the Palau crabs. that proves incorrect the "rule" that you always switch. Ian was offered to switch and if he did he would've ended up with the jar of crabs.
I'm gonna be a bit of a critic here but some of these weren't even purchased, such as Reynold's coconut, Danni's uncooked corn, Erik's octopus, Ian's live crabs, you get my point. I don't think I can agree with them being purchases when the person who bought the item didn't even get the items because they managed to trade for something decent. Kass' rice is the exception because it was auctioned up next and Trish bought it. I was actually hoping they were more just people overspending for dumb items, not them getting hosed on a mystery plate that turned out to be a gag item. For example, Skupin paying 500 instantly for some cheese and wine, Natalie instantly jumping way up to 200 for a PB&J, and things like that. I did get a kick out of you putting up practically the whole Australian auction minus only a few actual good items that they had. Also, everyone talks about Penner having an all time auction performance (Luke Toki from Australian's version not withstanding), and I'd agree with that take, but I think Alex could have given him a run for his money had he picked the lasagna. Later on he also got a steak.
