The song is called Getting Closer but the korean title is 숨이차(sumicha) which means breathless so the choreo matches that a lot
its funny how you mention the fact that theyre all so in sync to the point that it just happens even when they dont dance because there’s multiple video compilations of them being in sync doing the most random and most subtle gestures in interviews and out of choreo HAHA they really are one of and arguably one of THE most synchronized groups out there!
the one that hit the high note was seokmin, stage name dk. he could singlehandedly outsing half the kpop industry but is so underrated?? they seriously have one of the best vocal lines

nct and seventeen are my favorite groups there’s really nobody else doing it like them 😁 did you know they choreograph their dances themselves? mostly hoshi though. they’re known as the kings of synchronization! the “short one” (woozi, pronounced uji, real name jihoon) produces all of their songs too

The one that looks surprisingly short is Woozi, his real name is Jihoon. He's my height actually. 1,64 cm that would be about 5,3 to 5,4 feet. So pretty short yes.

To answer your question, yes. They are in sync with literally everything they do lol. Also! Fun fact! That one part where he kicks over the other member, those 3 members dancing are the leaders! The one who kicks and is rapping is named S.Coups and is the leader of seventeen and the leader of the hip hop unit. To the left of him is Woozi who is seventeens main producer and song writer and leader of the vocal unit. And to the right of him (who he kicks over) is Hoshi who creates a lot of their choreographies and is the leader of the performance unit! Thanks to Hoshi, that is why their choreos are always so unique, different, and refreshing! All of the performance unit help in making their choreo. But Hoshi mainly works with other choreographers to make it super special :) and yes, Woozi is the shortest member at 5’5. The tallest is Mingyu who is 6’2 and the majority are 5’10 :) they also debuted in 2015 so yes, they are a 5 year group lol.

Woozi is the shortest idol in kpop at 164cm lol. It doesnt help that the tallest member in Seventeen, Mingyu, is 187cm and the rest is around 177cm

One of the things I find craziest about their synchronization and levels is the height differences of their members. It should effect their synchronization but it doesn't and they probably have to work so hard for it. Woozi 5'5" Mingyu 6'2"

Don't worry, Woozi is really the shortest on the group. Please know though that he's the genius behind lyrics and production of their great songs. He's someone I see very highly.
The best K-pop dancing group you'll ever see, as long as they're still in the industry they deserve that award. Making it 10x better is that they make their own music and choreo.
Kings of Synchronization
It seems like you're already familiar with the Subpar Guides, so I'd recommend the Subpar Guide to Seventeen! It's a bit older/slight outdated, but still accurate and very funny guide. Another guide is the Guide to Seventeen: The Movie, but this one is about 2 hrs long.

Yes you are right they are unintentionally in sync most of the times hhhh.. sometimes its a little creepy but in a good way.. there's a lot of video compilations of svt being unintentionally in sync
I love how you mentioned about them having unique choreographies, how they do not seem to be doing what everybody does in terms of choreo! It's mostly because they do their own choreographies. They still get some help but when it comes to choreography concepts, it's almost all Hoshi, the performance unit team leader. Him, together with the rest of the performance unit and other choreographers work on all of their choreos. If you get to see more SVT dance videos you'd notice they do recycle some of their choreos but you'd be surprised how they make it still different in a way.

I am only half way through the video but I have a lot to say already 🤣. First of all I'm glad you are enjoying seventeen. Getting closer was a hit out of nowhere for Carats when it released. They aren't known to have dark concept like this so it was really interesting for them. Going in the future, a lot of people overlook their nondark concepts (as getting closer and fear are really their only dark mvs). But even seventeens bright concepts are still different from anything in the industry. I would say the only word I have for their style is comfort music. They always seek to make the listener feel comforted when they listen. I really hope you can listen without prejudice towards the concepts as I have found a lot of English speakers have against boys doing concepts that are not dark. Woozi was the short one you pointed out and he's the producer for them! One thing (there are many) that I think is really unique about his style of composition is his love of false drops. Its in almost every title track. Anyways i hope you are having a good are staying healthy/safe. 😊

Of you want more clocks in a SVT MV then you should watch 24h. Also the guy you often see wearing a bucket hat in the dance practices is probably Minghao, his stage name is The 8
1. Yes, one member is short, his name is woozi, he's the one who's responsible for music producing. And you were right about him standing in the far right.
2. Seventeen's choreo looks unique, they have a choreo team but it's usually hoshi (+ dino, Jun, minghao) who come up with crazy ideas, improvising and using symbolism on their choreo. (Ex. Street lamp choreo in Don't Wanna Cry)
3. I suggest you watch seventeen's flower, it's 100% choreographed by the maknae, kpop's future, dino. ❤️

They unfortunately don't have any other title tracks with dark concepts since that's not really the main thing they do, but I recommend you checking out their unit songs! Seventeen is divided into three units (hiphop, vocal, performance) and each of these units has a MV for a unit-specific song. They are:
Hiphop unit - Trauma
Vocal unit - Pinwheel
Performance unit - Lilili Yabbay

Yess Seventeen is a great group! And they produce and choreograph theyre own music, which i always appreciate. They're latest Korean comeback was Left & Right but they had a japanese comeback called 24H a couple weeks back. Also, they're new album is dropping October 19th! Also if I were to recommend more songs from them, i'd recommend to more genres from them! Their discography is very broad. Songs like HOME and Dont wanna cry are more of a ballad type song. Snap Shoot, Oh My and VERY Nice are more ‘cute’ concepts. I also really love the song CLAP, which has a rock feel

YESSSSS. YT did not notify me of this, but hey I woke up to it so that made my day! Everyone has answered your questions already - short guy = Woozi (MY BABY - wanna put him in my pocket even though he's still taller than me). High note = DK. Bucket hat = The8. Blonde in the front during dp: Jeonghan. Getting Closer is one of my ultimate favorites. You might as well go with softjun's guide, imo. The song spoilers are almost all B-sides, most other guides spoil a lot of the title tracks. After that maybe Don't Wanna Cry, Home, or Happy Ending (another personal fav). Those are all more in the vein of Thanks. And the choreos never disappoint, ever. Which is why we insist upon the dance practice reaction being included every time.

thank you for this reaction! their dancing skills are god-tier no joke! and they also have, in my opinion, one of the best rappers and vocalists in the industry. if you want to react to another hype choreo you can check out call call call (it's one of their japanese releases), & aju nice. if you want to react to a more softer cheerful side of them there's snapshoot, pretty u, oh my. if you want to see more lyrical or mellow type of choreo they have fallin' flower (another japanese release) & home. if you want the same vibe as this but a bit toned down they have good to me. i mean, they have a lot really all of their choreos are just amazing!

the song construction is really different. if you noticed, it has a "minimalist" style for the most part of the song. the rap parts barely had any beat, mostly just the voice.
and the really short guy is the group's vocal leader and the one who composes their songs. he also composed for some artists like Ailee, IOI, Chanyeol, NU'EST Baekho, and fromis_9.

You may like heavy beats / music, but never expect you'll see that more in every Seventeen songs. Coz the difference of SVT and all kpop songs. They create their own styles, and has the freedom to produce their own songs. ( freedom means, input of their thoughts, in their hearts, and to give inspiration especially to the young people. So basically, you'll see and hear different styles if you're going to check more about them. Coz they don't stay in one style, but they love to create and risked their music in all genres. So that's a fun fact. And to prove that to you, check out their special album called Semicolon. Its a common vibe of music. But definitely another genre for SVT. That will be on Oct 19.

That why I like to start with the heavy beat based songs when I'm introduced to new groups. I listen to them, become accustomed to their voices, then I appreciate their lighter stuff WAY more. Lol no, sorry. They succeeded in the industry in the first place by debuting with a boyish concept instead of what was more popular (a big risk btw) and haven’t stopped doing whatever the hell they want with their music ever since. They’ve experimented with a lot of different styles and aren’t afraid to do so because their company was so broke from the beginning of their trainee days that they are now really appreciative of how valuable time is.

their song construction is almost always weird/unusual. some songs doesn't have a proper chorus (like hit), long pre-chorus, anti-drops. there's even one song that skipped the second chorus and went straight to bridge.

@@dzian17 home was a strange one wasn't it. It had a prechorus then the fake drop chorus then the drop chorus.... and then the did the prechorus then fake drop chorus and skipped the drop chorus and went to the bridge. Strange but works.
"Home" is a masterpiece, also the production of "Fear" is absolutely amazing!
