You can criticise Bang si Yuk all you want, but thanks to his vision, his dedication to the group and his innovative marketing ideas, thanks to his foresight, clairvoyance, intuition and his faith in these kids, the BTS phenomenon wouldn’t have happened. They needed each other to succeed, and they did beyond imagination.
As BSY said, BTS are his children. He grew up with them. And obviously, he cannot act the same way with the newer groups; sad to say, but if you have not gone through the same hardships, you can’t relate the same way, whether you like it or not. BSY’s critics have to understand that.

The difference in my opinion, between BTS and the other groups, is that each member is highly talented. They proved it through their solo endeavours. Each one of them has been successful in their own way. There is not one member left behind.
And this is without counting their interesting personality, individually and collectively. What they sing does not sound hollow, their humility, their sense of humour, their closeness, their emotions on the sleeves can be felt in their RUN BTS videos, their stage performances. You can even notice if they had an argument before a performance, if you pay close attention to their behaviour on stage (it’s interesting to to observe )
Those BTS are true to themselves. That’s what make them so attractive

I would actually like to thank the BIG 3 and the k-Entertainment industry for contributing to their success. If they weren't blocking & bullying them they would've never have been forced to use other outlets like youtube and twitter. That was when the west got exposed to these underdogs and their passion for their music.

1000% correct!!!! The fact that BTS's Army grew organically by up close face to face fan meetings, meant BTS and Army totally controlled these events themselves and didn't allow the corporations to feed them the "popular" propaganda!!!! BTS allowed "unfiltered" access into their lives with their vlives and series, Run BTS and In the Soop!!!! We saw BTS engage in silly normal activities that many saw them as approachable and real. This was unprecedented and endeared Army to them to a degree never seen before and since!!!!

You can't compare talent. If you're talented, then you will be recognized one day. You can't expect fame and success to come right away. It took BTS 10 years, not to mention it's easier now for Asian artists to drop music in the West. BTS understands that this is not forever so they focus on longevity, substance, and authenticity. Only time will tell whether these young and new groups can last as long and make quality music like BTS.

First off, I believe that it's important to acknowledge that BTS is the sole reason why Kpop even became this globally popular. So with Kpop bands being able to promote themselves in the West very easily means that BTS are in fact HELPING these boybands become successful, bc now they have a bigger spotlight to do so. They have the tools now. The difference is that BTS were rejected and mistreated by the kpop industry because unlike the idols in the Big 3, BTS were extremely poor, their run down company almost went bankrupt and had no influence. So BTS decided to use their own means of communication with fans and has been making self made music and content predebut. BTS also had to work 10 times harder than their more privileged peers, and face backlash from so many different angles at such young ages. I believe they were able to reach more global attention this way without even intending to, because they never intended to blow up in the US. It's also important to note that BTS have been in the game for 10 years, these 4th gen kpop bands can't expect to reach the same success in 2 weeks, that's just not how it works. I also blame the labels who started this "next bts' agenda because none of them have walked in BTS's shoes. It's not fair to blame BTS for others not being as successful. BTS solidified a legacy, Seo Taji waited 25 years to pass the torch to the next group who would make Korea proud, and he passed it to BTS.

In my opinion... BTS is on a different level on their own. Other groups are also good but human nature would tell us that if there is a standard of KPop it is BTS. WHY? BTS is a total package. Talent, songs, personality, humility, sincerity, uniqueness and most of all real love and appreciation of ARMY. We are their priority even on special occasion instead of partying with celebreties. Other groups followed the way BTS connects with fans because other groups realized it works. Just like if there was Beatles during our parents time we have BTS now and that's the standard. I'm a senior army and discovered BTS in 2020 through Dynamite. I was aware that there's something like k-pop and I just thought it's colorful genereric bubblegum pop for kids. As a GenX Rock and Metal fan I didn't even heard it on the radio. No, I was watching a youtube video of a dance crew who covered it. And the song had that familiar 70s feeling to it. I loved it and looked it up. BTS...aha...oh...a Korean boyband. Nahh, not my cup of tea. But I couldn't get the song out of my head and so I said to myself. "Oh look, there's a video by them called On. Let's watch it" and from that moment on I was hooked. And three weeks later I had the backcatalog of the 5 main albums. Through BTS I got in touch with k-pop. As I'm mainly interested in the music and not the whole package (visuals, merch ets. pp), there are rarely groups that stick out. Stray Kids is one of them. Shinee, a 2. Gen group, is another. And man, I discovered Seo Taiji !! :) I'm still not that much into k-pop in general. I think what got me into BTS is not only the variety of songs. There's a whole video about why so many rock and metal fans are attracted to BTS. :) That they were an underdog was one of the reasons. Every rock and metal fan can relate to that. What I wanna say is. It's really not fair to compare any group to BTS. It's obvious that they've found a way to attract different kinds of people, different ages, different beliefs, different backgrounds, different muscial tastes. It's really hard to live up to that.

It is naive to make comparisons. For this reason, since BTS did not break the mold but rather created and continues to create new ones, comparisons must be avoided and as the video that summons us says, separate BTS from the rest and listen to them without making comparisons because many groups are really good and deserve to be heard and recognized without comparing themselves with others or in any case, not comparing them with a group that exceeds all comparison. BTS, with their lives and RUN BTS shows helped me find many very good Korean musicians and bands.

the problem i think is that management companies of the newer kpop groups are stuck trying to come up with "the next BTS." as a result, they tend to copy everything that BTS has done, down to marketing strategies. they forget to have their new boy bands to develop their own way and at their own pace. they're looking at everything short-term, and not long-term. while BTS grew organically, the newer boy bands seem manufactured according to targeted demographics. and therefore lack the authenticity that BTS has in their music. it may be unfair, but many critics have pointed out that BTS is made up of seven "beyonces" or seven "michaels" -- and indeed, this view is being validated as each individual BTS member is selling their solo albums in the millions worldwide, outperforming supposedly "big" kpop acts. the BTS formula simply can't be replicated; management companies should learn to let their artists be their own selves. that way, fans and consumers can discover unique talents, not just be offered copycat acts.

It should also be noted that BTS’s rap line were true fans of the American hip-hop scene at a very young age, so they understood the music while most rappers in K-pop are assigned that role because they can’t sing. The BTS rap line could hold concerts with just the 3 of them. Rap isn’t just sounding good at rapping; it’s understanding, creating, and breathing hip-hop.

What attracted me to them, was the brilliance of RM, stepping either forward (singing about high ideals) or backwards at the exact right time, boosting the others to shine or guiding them to excellence. Yet all 7 are talented or/and lovable. Ps in the eyes of a westerner all of them are naturally handsome without too much plastic surgeries (think about that too).

The "next BTS" won't come from a Big Three company or even HYBE -- if it ever comes at all. Ten years from now, some group that is currently scrounging in the dirt will have gained grassroots momentum to emerge as the next phenomenon the people have been hoping for.
The current groups are not beginning their journey at the same starting line. If it's a race to the top, they're starting at the 50% mark and some are okay hovering there. Which is fine. Not everyone is cut out for the top, nor would they necessarily be happy there.

Honestly speaking: even if new listeners (fans) want to objectively judge/see the success of 4th gen boy groups they cannot do that because the already existing fans of those groups, managments/labels of those groups and even those groups themself constantly comparing their achievments to BTS's achievments or try to "beat" BTS. That is so damaging to those groups cause BTS are on another level. BTS worked hard for over 10 years now, they started gaing global succes about 4 years after debut, they changed how world look at kpop and opened a lot of doors for the new groups. That big success what BTS achieved doesn't come in a minute. Because BTS set many records and win great prizes the other kpop labels think that their groups can do the same cause BTS is kpop so people have to love all kpop groups. They forget that BTS grew up that big fandom and became recognizable because of their hard work, artistry, progress in music and variety in music styles. You can't be original and stand out if you do the same what others before you. And you need to care about your fans much more than about money and fame. Without big and loyal fandom you won't be succesfull, famous and profiting from your work. Copying BTS won't let you be more popular than BTS. Also the amount of new groups that pop up every month, year make it more difficult to achieve longevity and success. Many times those new groups follow trends and their music isn't any difference that other groups. People become bored very fast. Groups and labes should focus on their own work. They can put BTS as example what they would want to achieve but they need to work their ass off. Comparing yourself to BTS all the time when you don't do even 30% what BTS did to get what they are now is useless

These kpop groups are doing well on their own but the comparison with BTS is foolish....this band is literally a once in a lifetime type of an act, their numbers are just unbeatable at this point...they are on hiatus and yet their older songs gain more streams than the newest releases of the newer groups....lets not even get to the solo releases of the BTS members, they are outperforming major western acts...kpop acts are not even close. My point is please let these newer artists grow organically and let them feel accomplished with their milestones, these constant comparisons with an INDUSTRY GIANT will only make them feel as if they haven't achieved anything at all.
A lot of the blame actually goes to the companies that are only looking to make money and pitch their groups as the "next bts" while being inconsiderate about their artists actual musical growth...also, ARMYS hate it when people do the "next bts" bullshit ,we immediately turn our backs and there itself they are losing a huge audience. Not to mention the kpop fans that are at constant denial of how BIG BTS truly is and set their fav groups up for failure just for some stupid twitter banter.

BTS is on another level - NOBODY should ever blame them if other boy groups' success is "delayed". If there is great talent, it will come out. If it has not come out maybe not yet their time. NOBODY better blame a group who just happens to be brilliant and put in an extremely high level of hard work and depth of talent and skill in songwriting, conceptualization and performance. BTS is also backed by a committed and forward thinking production crew and a management team that kept their promise to the 7 men to provide them all resources to produce the best high class/high level performance productions and MVs. BTS is also deeply committed to creating content and sustaining that content satisfaction among fans and even potential fans. No, BTS has not blocked anyone, they just happen to be exceptionally extraordinary. BTS cannot and should not be faulted for that.

I learned of kpop long before BTS ever came along, my friend, who used to live in SK was a huge fan of Big Bang. I never understood the appeal, tbh. In 2019 she went back to SK and then the pandemic hit and there she stayed and one day during a zoom call she presented me with BTS. I've been Army since. I still don't listen to any other kpop artist, especially the girl groups are largely unappealing. It just seems so fake, I don't know. BTS struck me as authentic from the second I was introduced to them, and all the other groups seem so forced and not like the enjoy what they do in the least. It's like all of us with our mundane 9-5 jobs, we work hard because we have to to survive, not because we want to. All these groups seem excatly like that. Performing and making music is their job not their calling and people can sense that. Not all of them, obviously, but the majority. I've since heard some StrayKids and TXT songs and I liked them, but they're not on any of my playlists. I don't know BTS just resonates differently.

As long as no one exhibits that they are only nice on screen but aholes off camera, I think these two groups will actually stand the test of time if they keep putting out good music. #2) I don't think BTS is blocking anyone. If the other groups were consistently creating quality, innovative music, people would listen. #3) Some of these groups are always FOLLOWING trends & the music is just noisy... They are choosing to be followers instead of creative leaders, and although I'm always exploring & listening to various groups, I find them very underwhelming. #4) BTS discography is truly unmatched, from hiphop, r&b, ballads, rock, neo-soul, pop. I wasn't interested in the groups at all, but I stopped listening after a couple years. As I got much older, I started to care about lyrics, but there was no artist who can touch my heart including American artists. I got bored with musics so I didn't listen to music that much. BTS brought me back because they care about the lyrics, and they talk about everything not just love or breakup. I tried listening to the 4th gen you mentioned, but their musics are noisy to me. That's the issue of fans of these 4th Gen groups none of them realize who opened the door for them. Hybe is the house that Bangtan Sonyeondan built and made it easier for all those who came after them to have success. Big Hit Entertainment before they even changed their name to Hybe made sure the group's that came after BTS were different and didn't follow the same mode as BTS. TXT is nothing like their big brothers nor is Enhypen like BTS. New Jean's just followed that flow of being different. I am exactly the same way. I tried to watch NCT, straykids , Ateez etc. Nothing! They just all sound the same to me. They might have some fun and catchy sound but that’s basically it nothing special really. They all have the same vibe . The “I’m so tough and cool vibe” that sometimes it gets too over the top and cringey for me.
I also noticed that the fandoms is these groups are doing the same exact things that Army’s did BTS maybe to make their fandom more “family like”? I’ve never heard of fans giving each other gifts or giving stuff to people on concerts. Only in BTS CONCERTS! even when so watched the BTS concert in theaters , army’s are in the door handing gifts to people . now i noticed fans of other Kpop group are doing the same thing! Nice I guess but for some reason I find it cringey. I don’t know.
If you’ve been to a BTS Concert you’ll feel the oneness in the crowd. The positive energy is just so strong. It feels like you all know each other . It’s so amazing! Everyone was so helpful, polite and generous to each other. When I went to watch other Kpop concerts, my friend likes this one group so I went with her (I watched 2 this year so far ), and it just didn’t feel the same way. Yes, it was loud , fun , the usual typical concert feel, but the people ? It’s just a crowd! That’s it!
BTS is the first and only group that I’ve ever seen that whenever they receive an award or anything , the first thing out of their mouths is “AMI”. Always fill of gratitude to their fans. I see a lot of Kpop groups are doing that now. BTS are also knows to do vlives after their shows or awards show to thanks their fans - they don’t even attend after parties even if they were invited because they would rather spend it with their fans. Their sincerity i think is what makes people gravitate towards them. You can feel their honesty . Not saying that other groups are not sincere or don’t appreciate their fans . I’m sure they do. However , it seems like there is still something missing. I don’t know.
For 4th gen. Groups. I think TXT’s music is the one I prefer more. Not the ear noise music the other bands have. Listening to those groups gives me a headache after a while. Too much sensory overload .

A group that continues improving their performance is successful. But that does not seem enough for a segment of the Kpop fandom intent on one-up-man-ship. Everybody wants a shortcut to fame and fortune but the reality is that achieving what BTS did takes time, much effort and perseverance. Hi. I became a fan of BTS just before Covid and immediately was drawn to them not knowing anything about them and what drew me was their sound their style I fell in love at first note. They had what I had been looking for in music. It was after I heard them the first time I decided to look into other artist and found that their overall sound just did not appeal to me at all. So my thought is if other groups would like to make it they have to create something that appeals to the masses of people not just a certain segment. The loud bombastic senseless sounds just don’t do it for me. BTS’s overall mood is so acceptable and warm and this is something I personally don’t think for me other groups have to me, I don’t know about other people just me before anyone take offense at what I am saying. BTS lacks the trying to force you to like me attitude. What they have is intrinsic to them and cannot be duplicated. So for me to sum up my opinion is 4th gen boy bands needs to find what appeals to the listening ear and so far to me it hasn’t happened. And if the Big 3, the labels and the idols themselves paid any attention to BTS at all they'd learn the hard-earned answer from Jin - accept yourself with all your own faults and mediocrities and aim to be better and to persist on your path. I mean, we've seen what happened with every attempt by studios to duplicate MCU without putting in the work and trying to skip the first steps and get to that billion immediately. Completely agree that the achievements of other bands cannot be compared to BTS. There are very good groups in male k-pop, I think something that blurs the achievements a bit is the number of existing groups where attention is pollinated and the time people have to appreciate them. I feel like BTS's main play will be when they start (if they do) to sing in Spanish. I must be honest that until now only BTS has enchanted me in all their content. There are many songs from other male k-pop bands that fascinated me with their dancing, singing and lyrics, but not all the material from each group, as has happened to me with BTS, not for that reason belittling the other bands that are very talented. Maybe there is also a problem in that there are small cores of fans of each group that are very hostile towards the fans of other bands and that causes (unfairly) people to reject the bands of the hostile fans because they feel that they speak on their behalf. (I hope the message is understood since I am using a translator). Greetings from Argentina.

If it is, that was so heartfelt when Chris held his arms out to Jin who ran to him. They love BTS so much and army and Coldplay fans were amazing. Coldplay appeared on SNL and wore Astronaut pins and was backed by a choir who all wore Astronaut pins. If you haven't seen it I encourage you to check it out. I tried to listen to other k-pop acts, but it just doesn't do it for me. The love between Armys and BTS can never be replicated because it is real, true and sincere.

I am a 54 yo woman. I have listened to other K-pop groups, and I liked a few from boy groups, girl groups irritate me for some reason. The fact that I love BTS still astounds me sometimes, because a year ago I wasn’t even remotely interested. I do believe that I might have heard a few of their songs before I found them on my radar, but I really didn’t think much about it. Like so many have said before- you discover BTS when you need them the most. The fact that they have dug so deep into their souls, and those experiences gave breath to their music is what sets them apart from other groups.
It also seems that other groups are trying to manufacture another BTS ( with their own spin of course) instead of trying to think of different solutions outside the box. The K-pop industry generally is one to follow a certain set of guidelines, and BTS had to approach everything differently because they were not allowed to follow those guidelines.😢. Not really sure what would be a solution for K-pop boy groups, but I do feel for them.
Fact is that I really am not interested in K-pop in general, I am not really interested in most current music really. Just like I am not really an acapella lover, but I love the group Home Free while I can’t stand Pentatonix. So, I equate liking a certain group over another as a personal preference.

But because of the hardship, struggles and bullying that they got they just worked very hard to enhance their craft and artistry. Honestly, I've loved Suchwita because it turned me onto other amazing groups that do differ artistically from BTS, e.g. Seventeen's focus is more mood music, which isn't an itch BTS scratches for me. But it took Suga to make kpop in general more digestible for me. Esp. because Hybe's the only label who consistently adds Eng subtitles to new MVs. I've put off really diving into Stray Kids because their Eng. translations aren't as systematically and straightforwardly bingeable that I've found. But it is interesting that girl groups get more unique streams but fewer replays. I find boy group material more replayable so far, though I've started trying out more girl groups.

It is hard to look past BTS, but they've set the bar very high. I do watch/listen to other K Pop groups/artists, they are good, don't deny that. My all time favorite is BTS though, love their OVERALL performances; choreography, singing and personalities they bring to the stage. BTS can't stop being BTS just to appease to the K Pop industry, K Pop fans that want more recognition for their group. It is sometimes frustrating I know, I've liked plenty of western groups that were good, but did not rise to the top, rather stayed in the middle with a lot of other groups. I think in my opinion, BTS has been harshly criticized in past, not given the same opportunities that the new generations have now due to BTS, but now BTS is being criticized or at least talked about in terms of casting too big of a shadow. I think K Pop will always be known for having "BTS", they just need to keep on doing what they are doing, fans will appreciate them. It's human nature to compare, no matter what it is, no matter the circumstances, it's human nature. I've never seen so much complaining or not sure what to call it (don't mean to offend anyone), about the K Pop industry, their artists, too much, too little....too, too, too. I've also never experienced fandoms either until getting to know BTS. I'm new to K Pop. I actually was introduced to K Pop by listening to a different group, I thought they're good, listened to another group and thought...hmmm sounds kind of the same but still good. I was later introduced to BTS and was completely blown away, wanted to know what they were saying in the songs, wanted to watch their videos. I could not tell at all who was the "weak" dancer, who had to learn how to sing, all I saw was their incredible in sync choreography, heard their vocals. Once I actually started watching K Pop MV's, I didn't really go back to the group I started out listening to for reasons I won't say. I have however, been watching other groups, not all of them are "good", but again, I'm looking. People will gravitate to what appeals to them the most and BTS on MANY levels appeal to many people. It's probably not a satisfying answer, but again, just because we don't see results our way, doesn't mean they're not good or valid results. I love watching your videos BTW, very informative and open minded.

I agree that you cannot compare 4th Gen groups with BTS (tho I thought Seventeen was considered 3rd Gen - they debuted in 2015). BTS’ circumstances were very different from boy groups now. The thing is 4th Gen boy groups CAN have the success (or close to) that BTS has, but it takes time. Some are good enough to be marketable to a wider audience, but BTS fandom grew to what it is now in a span of 10 years and it continues to grow. Stay, Carats, engenes, moas, Atiny and others will continue to grow but they are growing while ARMY is still growing. They just need to stick to it. Their companies need to keep investing and marketing them for a long time. I think some companies and groups end up quitting prematurely.

There will never be a "next BTS" because all those groups lack 1 thing...ARMY.
BTS built ARMY organically, from the bottom up, by connecting openly and honestly, and that has never changed.
They didnt need to continue doing lives, finding new ways to connect with the fans, and working their butts off to leave us with so much content while they do their ms after they got bigger.
And other groups will never have the songwriting talent BTS has. They may have 1 or 2 that write, but none of them have that touch.

Their success has a lot to do with their growth and intention. BTS came from nothing into nothing and had to make something out of nothing, against all odds. They had something to prove to the media, to the Korean music industry, to fans, to their tiny company, to the haters, and to themselves. That motivation pushed them to work harder. These new groups are coming into established, wealthy companies and just don’t have the passionate fire that BTS had when they debuted. They might be good, but they don’t have the fire.
Instead of trying to recreate BTS, these new groups should be inspired by the work they put into becoming top tier performers and artists.

No. Because it makes no sense, the members of a group, the music, the content, everything is different and you can not expect the public to react to it the same way since we all have different taste. I think the principle of this topic are completely wrong. We talk about "next BTS" when the BTS are still on the market making great results even individually and breaking more and more records.
Agencies are spending more time looking for the "next BTS" than giving their artists the freedom and opportunities to express their talent.
The difference between BTS members and other artists is huge, example: if JK, Jimin, V, Jin, Suga, Rm, Jhope, don't like something in the song, in the choreography, during Mv they have the knowledge and all the freedom to ask that it be changed and done as they want, or at least it is listened to their proposal, something that doesn't happen with other artists from other agencies because they have to follow to the letter what they are told to do.
As long as the other agencies don't allow their artists to express themselves, they will not only beat BTS but will remain very little in the scene, as unfortunately happened with many other groups.
Every artist must be himself and must have the goal of working constantly trying to improve more and more to achieve his dreams, not to beat others. Only then will the results come

In my opinion, it's impossible to not compare all other K-pop bands (both genders) with BTS and I can't seem to get interested because, frankly, all other bands in the world that I have seen or heard about are not at BTS level. A few of many reasons is that I have difficulty figuring out who's singing because they mostly sound the same, they look too similar to each other and they keep changing their hair colors so I just can't keep up. I even tried out Black Pink (because their voices were unique like BTS), but I can't get behind their music which I find insulting to women in general. If I have to choose a girl group, it would be New Jeans.

yes that´s true about the vocals sound the same and no one is allowed to stand out on their own like BTS and create their own image. like jimin did with his dance and j-hope did with his music and performance. and also RM and Suga who has very diffrent writing styles and music styles.
they have been making a name for themself within BTS and not the rest is following. Jk´s voice that can sing every style of music and V´s Unique jazz style that i have never heard in kpop before. they are breaking every stereotypes. and make everything possible.
for BTS everything is possible. other groups like BP have max 2 solo songs each and i dont think any of them will be able to have enough songs to start a solo career on their own and not touring alone. they can´t even keep the fans entertained as it is. i have seen all the negative press on their concerts. but fans dont care dont only want to look at them. all members of BTS has more solo songs than all of them combined.

The constant comparison to BTS is a failing marketing strategy. The logic is every time a BTS record is broken someone steals a jewel from the BTS crown. The goal is to kick the kings off their throne to prove 4th gens can sit where BTS has already been. But what doesn’t work is BTS are still kings, sitting on the ground. They are their thrones. Break all the records that BTS did FIRST. The BTS legacy won’t be in the sales numbers. Their Legacy will be the FIRSTS they achieved. 4th gens selling their arena tickets in three seconds instead of BTS’s 4 seconds doesn’t make them BTS. 4th gen fans are losing their minds because BTS refused to go serve their country, lose their momentum or collapse altogether the way other bands did. BTS worked hard to leave gifts for Army while they are away. The seven year lifespan of boybands was because military service would starve an easily bored audience. It was built into the kpop entertainment machine to clean the slate to churn out more product for an audience that cares less for good music as long as it’s new. When the new wears off, a new debut season barfs up more product. BTS refuses to die because they are still delivering new and brilliant music. 4th gens have to keep proving that they are not just new, but hard working talented artists who can deliver quality music regardless of who stood on the stage before them. I’ve tried to listen to other kpop groups and after the third attempt if I’m not impressed I stop. So far none have impressed. I wish them every success-away from me. Away from the BTS I love.

I appreciate the nuanced take and production quality of this video. BTS is an outlier so they need to be excluded in any kind of comparison because they're a lightning in a bottle that cannot be replicated anytime soon. Do you think Blackpink should also be excluded from a similar comparison of 4th Gen girl groups?

I think a lot of ppl missed the point that a lot of BTS fans are not kpop fans but are Bts fans. I can attest to this .I may like a few others kpops songs but definitely not fangirling over the artist.
No disrespectto any artist but I think ppl definitelymissed this point.
.the only reason why I know some of IU songs is because JK wouldn't stop talking about her so I had to find out who this girl was.

Just so you know 17 is considered to be a third generation K-pop group not a fourth generation

Maybe Justin Bieber blocked male artists from succeeding before BTS...? It sounds stupid, didn't it? I think that a lot of ARMYs aren't interested in kpop but in music in general. Kpop even isn't genre - it's industry. Despite Kpop is already popular in general because of BTS but we can't expect BTS's success. There are no "next BTS"

Bts is not the problem 😂 if you want to succeed just keep working hard and be creative the goal should be getting higher step by step not surpassing Bts or whatever
Bts also had numerous kpop kpop groups and westren mainstream who are bigger than them but that didn't stop them

Yes they are all trying to' Run before they can walk' mindset. Instead of taking those small steps slowly until they reach the top.

As you say is hard for them cuz BTS already did a lot of different types of music and also messages that they put in concepts , so I guess the thing they can do is doing their way. For example BTS did the whole BE on how they felt of the pandemic , which make more rentable to people that were working or doing more responsibilities cuz of BTS age but TXT did a song about it from their POV which is more how teens felt with how to hang out and going to school. So I think that’s is big way to attract audience but it will be audience around their age which is good but also not taking seriously in the west , meanwhile BTS still have songs they did in the beginning relatable to teens but not COVID teens lol. Also i think if they do a genre that BTS haven’t done like hard rock metal they will get attention but the issue is that doesn’t sell well in SK like dreamcatcher have that problem.

Now that's the thing it's NOT CONCEPT's with BTS it's their story and their development as people what effects them what there interested in it's not oh let have a new concept or lets follow that concept or this concept. BTS are far more real they write, produce what's important to them. Not just has a group but as individuals. Can you image anyone else other that Suga rapping about his own mental health? being real and raw about what he had gone through?
