My teacher, Radha Govinda Pal mahashay, would call this sound "stroke". In Bengali it is called "Chutki" (snap). In this video you'll how to play "nak" aka "chutki" perfectly. Bablu Das would call this the "One Finger Up" technique. It is very common in more advanced playing.
