yeah Mr.Girthmore really doesn't look like a villian here... he looks like a business man... it is really hard for small businesses to compete with big ones. I can understand if Girthmore laments that he can't have the dolls mass produced as much as I understand how hard it is for a crafter to make these dolls by hand by herself.
Plus Handmade dolls are very expensive. It was unlikely that a family would have been able to afford more than maybe a single one for Christmas. Mass Production did a lot more than just "Greedy people going to be greedy". Even the "Poor children" could get a toy chest.
@@Nionivek I think if Mr. Girthmore really wanted them mass produced he could strike a deal to help fund the mom including taking on apprentices to make more. it would help him and her. it sorta reminds me of the colorful weird creatures that are famous in mexican culture... one man started making them after a fever dream then the whole town liked them so much they picked it up to now its part of the towns economy. it would make sense that the dolls could work like that and become the nationwide chain mr.Girthmore is hoping to be. except instead of just him prospering so many others could too.
I'll be honest, I appreciate the effort Girthmore's voice actor put into his performance - he is definitely the most entertaining part of this 'movie'.

You can easily tell that the makers of this movie have never in their life attempted to purchase a high quality handmade doll or toy, especially unique ones (After all they did say "one of a kind") made by a professional. To put it in perspective the Firefighter Barbie is about $25 bucks and is one of the more expensive (Non-super marked up collectable) Barbies. Unique high quality professionally handmade dolls start at about $100.

Have you ever been to a restaurant or mall and NOT felt frustrated by children? Also, Phelous doesn't have to have kids anyway. I love my nieces but I'm not so deluded as to think everyone I the world will adore them too. That's a pitfall many self-absorbed parents fall into.
The true gift this year was knowing that VanPires actually happened and wasn't just a fevered delusion of my childhood. Thank you for this Christmas miracle.
I found two Vanpire DVD's and watched one of them with some friends. It really is a fever dream. The clips that were shown in the video was a perfect summary of what watching the show is like.

The worst thing about Girthmore is him being a little eccentric and being overweight And even then those are very minor things. Were the film makers just salty about the fact that they couldn't turn their movie into a multi million dollar animated movie franchise?

I loved Spyro as a kid.
Moneybags was allowed to be suave and dignified though, this movie absolutely hates Girthmore for being fat and it shows.
