This was such a therapeutic video to watch after back to back night shifts this week. I love getting to experience this creative outlet of yours!! You are so talented.
Wow, I so relate to you! Your video just popped up on my home page. I chose nursing school to give my life a bit more stability and career opportunity but man it also feels like a grieving process of all these other lives I want to live. I have definitely put aside my interests/passions to focus on school and, you're right, it feels like a loss of self. We probably have the same personality type haha. But yes, it's only temporary!
@@cristalytee I know it can be so tough- especially in the beginning of your program when everything/everyone is so new and it can be really overwhelming. I had to step outside of my introvert comfort zone a lot and initiate conversations which was tough for me! It honestly wasn’t until a few semesters in that I felt like I had an established “group” of friends, it took a lot of bonding over shared clinical experiences to break that barrier. And don’t shy away from asking people to study together outside of class :) overall I’d say it just takes time, and in the meantime you can always lean into your friends/family outside of your program. Community/emotional support is so important during school and can come in many different forms ♥️
i'm so thankful to have crossed your channel

Nursing school is tough - i have no mental/physical energy to do anything else :/
What advice do you have for someone who is having trouble making friends in nursing school?
