Awesomeness and total respect for you all that make that run! It's interesting to me looking from the outside in as I just started learning how to use a SurfSki. I generally carry an extra paddle on my OC1 as I seen many people break them (All carbon, all wood, hybrids). Some of the more experienced paddlers here in Hawai'i, look at my setup and say, yeah...I should start carrying an extra paddle (But they don't'). Given that an extra Surfski paddle could easily be carried on the Ski with a little bit DYI engineering, why not carry the backup paddle that can be separated in two and put together if you needed it or somebody else did. I just did an Internet search and found a few tales. So, What is the plan if you snapped a paddle or lost it? Curious.
The way you paddled back to shore, chasing the runs and avoiding the shore dumps. Totally awesome!
Magic 👌
Fantastic!
That looks very smooth Sharon.

Paddle with your hands, your flip-flops, or the broken off blades. 'been there, done that... (no, you won't go upwind ;-)
