    I would pick REC all day long, they make Panasonic panels for the US market.

    33 REC 365TP4 Panels with Enphase IQ8 Inverters installed $28,000 for 13kW + 30% Federal Tax Credit of $8400 = $19,600 Total Cost....Great Video...Thanks!!

      That price almost seems way too good to be true...If I remember correctly pricing in general for the US anyhow tends to run all over the gamut depending on your locale but averages to about $2.8/w and as high as $3.5/w in higher cost of living areas. For you to get a complete system installed and only pay $2.15/w makes me wonder how your installer stays in business.

      @@theripper121 I asked that question....they work on volume sales and have had to expand the company because of the amount of solar systems they install every month....they also use local contractors where they do not have a presence, which expands their business even more.

      @@theripper121 They did an excellent job and explained and walked me through everything and did all that they said they would do....and even gave me racking material for another solar sub-system that I installed to run my roof ventilation system

      Since it's an Indian company that acquired they will set up in India as well. In fact as I write they are in the process of building a unit in India to set up a production facility.

    Very helpful, indepth review. I trust you over other reviews I've seen. You've been in the business, you analyze the strength of the company and country of manufacture. All VERY important in these supply chain stressed times

    Just signed my contract for the Black on Black (BOB) Alpha series (x14). These are awesome, more expensive then the base offerings of most solar installers, but less than sun power. Perfect middle ground.

    Working up a couple ideas based on Enphase kit and LG, our chosen ground-mount panel due to compatibility with the micorinverters, suddenly pulled out of the panel market. This what the installer now chooses, and is why I'm watching.
    I like that R+D seems to happen at a latitude (Norway) like ours in New England; sometimes a bit challenging. I don't know specifically how it pays off but it seems like it might.
    Thanks for the review. Looks encouraging.

    Great info ! Many reviews on TH-cam compare solar panels to Sunpower. What does Sunpower have or do that others don't? Thank you

    For credibility, look into facts before making co. claims- 2017 Duke Energy bought REC from Norwegian / Chinese Company. Many changes over years. Ask how they honor the made in 2010 panels and do they hold liability still? It has a new corp. ownership title if you are able to look yourself and edit this review with a simple flashing sub caption or end shot.
    Surprise us with the fix.

    REC states degradation rate after first year is 2.5%; fine print states 0.75% to 5% max. My REC 370 aa degradations is 8% after 11 months in Southern California. Lies, lies , and lies.
    Fyi: REC is made in Singapore, Norway Headquarters , BUT owned by Chinese company . That tells a lot….

    • @jordansage9655
      @jordansage9655 3 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Your panel didn't degrade 8% months, lol. For one, it is nearly impossible to measure without 1) irradiance instrument 2) laser thermometer 3) voltmeter so you can make actual measurements and pinpoint degradation vs other causes of loss. Also, panels get dirty and that accounts for 2-3% drop, after which they settle.

      Have you looked around at all the greedy, corrupt, US corporations and see where they get all their goods. China or Mexico. Snap out of it.
