New Variable Valve Timing Solenoid from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ia/1AZM...
This video shows you how to install a variable valve timing solenoid on your 2007-2013 Mini Cooper. If the variable valve timing solenoid in your vehicle is stuck or clogged, causing your engine to not run properly, you may notice reduced fuel efficiency, sputtering, rough running or stalling in your engine. Solenoids usually need to be replaced once they begin to fail.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:
    2007 Mini Cooper
    2008 Mini Cooper
    2009 Mini Cooper
    2010 Mini Cooper
    2011 Mini Cooper
    2012 Mini Cooper
    2013 Mini Cooper
    Tools you will need:
    • Flat Blade Screwdriver 1aau.to/oa/1AXA...
    • 10mm Socket 1aau.to/oa/1AXA...
    • 7mm Socket 1aau.to/oa/1AXA...

This is a genius way to do business. Not only do you sell the part, but provide the tutorial for us DIYers. Installed the part today and the car is running great, just saved me a couple hundred dollars!

Thank you the time and care you took in explaining the job. I had already seen a few videos on this, but found yours when i wanted to know what size torx it used and was really glad for that level of detail!

I have replaced my solenoid on the intake side.
Now I’m trying to get the solenoid bold out on the one next to the dipstick. The head of the bolt is stripped so I cannot get it out. I can’t get any tools in to tap anything into the head and lever it and I can’t access it to drill into it. It’s super infuriating!
Do you have any tips to get the bolt out please?

Hello, which solonoid did you change? Is that an inlet or exhaust? I know very little about car engines and need to find out ? Thank you.
