    @researchrealdeep Yes, you can use the racks with any plug-ins. Not just Ableton plug-ins.

    My first Mr B tutorial in 2013. Revisiting because I still suck 😎

      Hey man, who wouldn't suck when comparing themselves to Mr Bill? But it's normal, Mr Bill himself probably cries himself to sleep because he's not Aphex Twin... The trick is finding your own dimension, and being the best you can. Which is how you become a Mr Bill!

      @@cherian5700 I really think it's true, I used to complain that I didn't sound like Tipper, than I realized 1) he's fucking Tipper, 2) there's no need to sound like him and 3) I need to find my way... Now I have my own sound and I'm happier than ever!

    try the "eq3" for shelf cutting, i find it much more precise... a high cut leaves lesser bass rumble... check a spec...

    I was wondering if the Bass low would interfere with the sub, since it runs on the same frequencies?! Or is it irrelevant because of the different octaves?
    By the way i find this very helpful! lack of good sounding bass has been a problem for me! :)

    thanks for the comprehensive tutorials, I just watched this and have not had a chance to try this out yet however is it only possible to perform separation using only Ableton modules or could I use the instrument rack w eq to parse etc on other plug-ins?

    Try as I might, my analog bass tone doesn't sound half as badass as his when I introduce the frequency sweep (around 3:48 in the video). What am I missing?

    its like OTT but only for low frequencies?

  • @PRSOne
    @PRSOne 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I hear that all the time about EQ3 being better at splitting frequencies, but I haven't encounters the same results. Sure, it's easier... but I wouldn't necessarily say better.

    Phase cancellation is a thing that exists when you use non-linear cutoffs like this. I'm surprised someone with so much confidence in audio engineering wouldn't even think about something as basic as this. Hello comb filtering, good bye mono compatibility.
