I was in 10th when the movie was released. I remember having seen it in the 1st week of it's release in Apsara Theater, Vijayawada. Fantastic direction by Late Sri. Viswanath garu. One of the top movies ever made on Indian Screen. ❤
I was 10yrs old when it was released. I was told by elders that we could not get tkts in hyd'bad. therefore we didn't watch immediately Later during summer vacation we all came to our home town, vijayawada, and saw this legendary movie in apsara. My maternal uncle managed to get tkts for it
To say Sankarabharanam is a wonderful film is a small statement. I was fortunate to watch the movie in the first week of its release in Visakhapatnam. Audience were few. I was studying Pharmacy in A. U. The experience was beyond words. I told my friends that if they dont see the picture they are missing something. Salute to Viswanath garu.
Even sanyasis and great person who never seen movies and hate movies, seen One professor attended meetings at visakhapatnam with out remembering movie requested can we arrange for seeing that music movie. Next day he thanked us and expressed his joy in seeing that greatest movie.
Hello sir. I saw the movie in the Manju Theatre Secunderabad after 100 days run as tickets were hard to get. It was a great experience. I was the only person having a tape recorder in our area, West Marredpally. I had recorded the songs. Neighbours used to request me to play the songs in the morning and in the night daily. 😊

In 1980 sankarabharanam was pre released in Delhi IIPA Auditorium. After the film was over Sri Viswanath Garu asked my mother and some more ladies standing about the film. All ladies told him it will be a Super Hit Film.
