Mixed martial arts (MMA) is a full-contact combat sport based on striking, grappling and ground fighting, incorporating techniques from various combat sports from around the world. The first documented use of the term mixed martial arts was in a review of UFC 1 by television critic Howard Rosenberg in 1993.
Omega Championship Fight Night is the first ever MMA event in Nepal that included the Pro match of Pro fighters. In the Pro match session was a fight between the pro MMA fighter Koshish Shrestha from home country and Vicky Gwade from India. Mr. Shrestha with not much effort was able to bag home the “Omega Championship pro MMA fight” title. He won the fight by technical knockout(TKO) and the time frame of TKO was 1 minute and 43 seconds. He is the winner of Goa Alpha Events 2022, GOA in TKO and dozens of other events.
In the same events Prakhar Subba of Siliguri was defeated by Hansaraj Samata of Rajesthan by KO at just 6 second the game was opened.
The night was also overjoyed with amateur fights.
