I don't think we'll ever have movies like these again. The romance movies in this time were amazing. You just don't find movies like these anymore 😓
cinema had lost its vision ..or we can say that they had progressed ..that happens with everything in human history ..we just turn something sweet into something complex over time
There was a really cool article about why they can't really make movies like this anymore is because of availability. Once email, cellphones, and texting became normal a lot of the plot devices that made films like this possible became obsolete.
The 80's was the best times. The movies...the music. Someone needs to invent the DeLorean time machine, so we can go back!
@sarahiszename you’re right, romance movies were awesome back then, and now all we get are the cringy Twilight films and The Fifty Shades films honestly 🙄
I am the only that fell madly in love with Lloyd watching this movie ?
+Elvire B I'm Lloyd after all these years.
Elvire B totally fell in love with Diane court, I'm sure you will agree, Say anything was a rare movie about teenage love struggles and carries a special tag of originality, too this day, I was 17 when it was released in 1989, It was great to be that age with this gem around.
Definitely a heart-throb for the sapiosexual teens out there. Plus he was a fan of The Clash and Soundgarden! My dream man.
Hes very good looking. Coming from a millenial. Never seen this movie.
No .. John cusack was dreamy before say anything but after it was on a whole other level..
i gave her my heart and she gave me a pen ~ Lloyd Dobler
If you guys know so much about women then why are you hanging out at a gas n sip on a saturday night??? By choice man!!!
Hayley Bunes THE quote of this movie lol...and the scene of all times, Lloyd and his boombox!
well said there buddy
John almost didn't do this movie cuz he didn't want to do another teenage movie and it is an absolute classic. Makes me cry every time. I personally I think it is his best work
I'd marry the man that loved me as deeply as Lloyd loved Diane. This was a great video. Good job.
John Cusack is so perfect in this role, our Generation X crush. I've had a Lloyd whistle outside my bedroom window to wave goodnight to my dad's annoyance. I had a different Lloyd wait for hours in pouring rain outside my workplace after a fall out. I finally appreciated my current Lloyd my husband late in life when I had sense to stick with the good MAN.
Women take Note ! . ! . . . Always go for the "Lloyd Doblers" in Life ! ! 😊
The last great 80's movie!!!! summer of 89!!
I just love this movie and wished that these two actors got together as a couple in real life...they had great chemistry and it really shows through out this movie
Me too ❤❤
I read somewhere that Ione Sky (Diane) said that if they hadn't been in relationships while filming they probably would've ended up together
I feel so fortunate to grow up in the 80s for the movies and music. Never will be duplicated again
I love this flick especially when he kicks the glass out of the way for her in the parking lot :) I forgot what luv was like I wish I had a Dobler :)
❤☺
What a way to close the decade of the 80s. The best love ballad used in the best teen romance movie.
the best movie from the 80's and one of my favorite ones...
Mine too 😊
Me too ❤
Nope, Pretty in Pink.
Such a memorable 80's movie especially the boom box scene is the most memorable from this great movie. Great song that i could listen to over and over again
The look on his face as he held that boom box higher above his head as that beautiful song was playing for her.
@@romy4858 I know the look on his face is priceless…
this movie is my number 1 all time favorite love story!!!! and i got this on dvd!!!
Mine, too. I bought my first copy at a few weeks ago for $5. lol
Such a great song!!!! 💖 I LOVE THIS MOVIE AND SONG SOOOOOO MUCH!!!!! X ❤️😊
I LOVE THE KICK BOXING SCENE...
WHEN HE WHISPERS...I LOVE YOU! I USE TO REWIND THAT SCENE OVER AND OVER BECAUSE HIS VOICE SOUND LIKE IT WAS POURING OUT LOVE.... HE WAS SO IN LOVE WITH HER 😍😢💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
❤❤
Me too, one could feel the emotions.
Lloyd Dobler is my spirit animal
We all need a Loyd in our life🥰🥰
Best romantic movie ever. Why? Easy, because Lloyd Dobler doesn't exist in real life. He exists only when he watch this movie. Trust me, I know. ;)
You have to learn how to dump shitty men asap in order to work your way to your Lloyd dobler. It happened to me when I was fat at 37. Two kids and 12 years later - still just as happy and romantic.
Amazing Movie!!!! Love Diane And Lloyd In Say Anything.💜💜💜💜
The Creation of the internet and cell phones has ruined everything. There shall be no more movies like these. Those day are gone forever.
Excellent!! one oy my favorite movies ever
I remember getting to take pictures with My Crush and one smiling like a kid in a candy store, the other one trying to play it supercool! Peace!
For every guy who was about 14 to 19 in 1989, Diane court will always be the girlfriend we wish we had as probably still do. Lol
I was born in 74 👍🏻
But why???...I don't really get what was so special about her character
She was smart and beautful and kind. She had it all.
Dave Shields i was 5 when this came out but totally...yes lol
You hit the nail on the head.
Well edited !! Almost recalled whole movie .i wish all must hav true love
i have just watch this movie for the first time 20mins ago and now is june 2021 , can you guys believe it =))) And now reading your comment 6 -7 years ago ... i dont know why but it makes me feel hilarious
I will always love this movie. I was about 8 or 9 when this came out. Unforgettable,in my opinion. Wasn't this the same year as "Johnny be good" came out? Beautiful song, and classic movie.
This is the best thing I have seen. I love this movie and this song. You did an amazing job getting the highlights of the story. Wonderful arc of scenes that flow with the song. Kudos. This is favorited and shared an facebook. Thank you for making this, true fans always make the best videos.
Wow. Awesome video capture. Made me fall in love with this movie all over again.
God, I love this movie! Thanks for this video!
Love this! All the essential scenes are compiled into the length of the song. Thanks for making this! I hope you can make more of other classic movies like this.
Great editing, capturing and elevating the movie scenes to a whole other level!
I was 19 it ended the greatest decade
I love this movie and the song! Well done! :) Thanks!
I would definitely jump into 'the Hot Tub Time Machine' for her!!!
This movie is a tear jerker a bit. Really good acting, the way they kiss and embrace. And good directorial pacing as well. I've geared up on five different occasions viewing this flick.
Teared.
Ppl who aren't so reckless with other people's lives with their hungers make other people cry more
+Pill Harmonic I've been advising this Christian girl in finding a soul mate and our Lord spoke to me last night about Lloyd Dobler and what you just said, what makes this movie so great, it's Lloyd's kind of love for Diane, it's pure as you just said, he's not hungry for Diane for himself but for her. You've come a long way in this world my friend.
TrustInJesus111 I just thought it was cute and endearing the way he confessed about wanting to win over Dianne court. And when he walked behind her as her father was taking her graduation photo. And upon getting to know him, she wasn't used to being asked out, so she'd just sort of tolerate his budding intensity and right away he was having dinner with her family, like she was a bit of a deer in headlights.
Pill Harmonic I concur with your assessment completely. It's a rags to riches story where Lloyd turns the tables on Diane and she becomes the pauper without him. Her internal conflict giving her Savior a pen as a parting gift was picturesque. Ione Skye really played that scene off well. In every relationship the person wanting the relationship the most is operating from the position of weakness, and when she finally realizes who Lloyd is and comes at him he is once bitten twice shy, but his unconditional love for Diane fills in the gaps of his wariness. The one in the power position changes throughout the movie. I asked my high school teacher Jeanette Bennett out on a date, asked her to a concert. She was gracious in her refusal, I felt like a King. Did you see the movie Being There with Peter Sellers? Sometimes we just wander into greatness.
TrustInJesus111 no never saw this movie. kind of took it that she was never seemingly bitten thrice shy, and he was bruised but would take on the first bite himself. without using her.
Every girl in the 90s wanted a Loyd Dobler!
Loved this! Very sweet! I adore this movie so much. You did it great justice. :)
Congratulations for the video! It made me cry, i love this movie so much!!

Sweet movie!
Great vid !
THANK YOU for putting this together!!!!!!! I love this movie and Ive had so much trouble finding these clips on youtube. I can't even find the boombox scene or the ending scene on the plane. You are awesome! :)
Loved this movie, but I can’t find it anywhere to watch. It’s too good not to see time and time again and down the generations. Tx❤️
Love this movie...that stolen photo opp scene is funny...i met my""Diane Court" when i was in college but I failed to be a "Lloyd Dobler"...sigh...thank you uploader!
@TheWoodlandBerry I agree with you! "Say Anything..." is a very good romantic comedy movie!!
we started with fast times and eveything in between and ended with this classic
Adoro esse filme!
💗💗💗
One of mg faves :)
Nice job!
Or songs, or their combinations. This movie derived its life from the song.
Yes
❤️❤️❤️❤️
it's so obvious the 90's Seattle grunge vibe is already present in this film in 1989
Yes, even though the film was shot mostly in Vancouver in fall 1988
Wow..
❤
She is the girl next door. Not a movie star. Those are the ones who tug at my heart.
If the boombox scene took place in NYC everyone would just assume Lloyd was homeless and on drugs.
😆
I loved this movie growing up and still do, reasons are all the same.... You, Brian... Would you still shake?
A simpler time, it was okay to be simple then.
Clinging to each other’s insecurities!!!!👄👄🤩😘🍒🍒🍒
I love John Cusack.
They just don't make movies like this anymore...
Whoever made this video owes me a new box of Kleenex (for tears not semen) 😢
korlu01 I laughed out loud !
