@@soupandthunder6018Imagine it chasing you up a vertical room, then jumping in the way of where you're going at the top, forcing you to quickly use an Ice Missile and Morph Ball under it.
what if the SA-X has and uses the x-ray scope! a prime style 3-D first person "behind the visor" remake of Fusion would be such a "Shut up and take my money!" idea!
This is more apparent with the Japanese name. The English version localized them as "X Parasite", but, in Japanese, they are only ever referred to as X or Organism X, the former of which often does bleed into the English localization. Translating the Japanese script of fusion for a project is what made me realize that. In Metroid Dread, it's revealed in the spoken audio that the Chozo referred to them as the "Eddis", which seems to possibly be the Chozo word for "Plague"- which, additionally, is what Samus refers to the X as near the end of Fusion when she realizes just how pure the evil they are is.
That is a really high detailed Sa-x face and like looking into a creepy carbon copy mirror except for the minor differences the eyes are white and music spot on
i loved how this went. you've got the existential dread which was beautiful, got the chase sequence down AND THEN TURNED IT INTO THIS DOPE POKEMON BATTLE LMAO yeooo this was done so well!!!!
Sounds pretty epic. Makes me wish for a remake where the SA-X had reaction time escape cutscenes and actually left the environment damaged wherever he chased you through.
It’s been like 2 months now and I’m still jamming to this. I knew the SA-X theme had potential, and you were just the person to help it shine through! Thanks for the cool remix!
Certainly a good piece for the Halloween season! The slow build up leads nicely into the dramatic reveal and intense fear/chase that follows, and then brings it back down into the slow dread. The sound effects bring you more into the scene and give a sense of the full story being told.
The current Metroid devs did a Metroid 2 Remake before Metroid Dread. Presumably, Mercury Stream could be working on a Metroid 3 (Super Metroid) or Metroid 4 (Fusion) remake next. My dream one day is a Fusion remake that would re-work the SA-X so it works more like the EMMI where it can procedurally chase you, but be more dangerous and scary than the EMMIs. Idk if it'd stay scary throughout a full game like I'd hope though. Maybe you could run into more than one SA-X at once at some point? (Considering there were multiple on the Fusion space station)
@@ArtificialXD Agree and disagree, I didn't like the Emmi, they weren't scary just frustrating. A Sa-X that can chase you the whole game would be scary af. Wow I just noticed. The music that plays when Samus is fleeing is a distorced version of the escape from the original. Anyway, good remix. It seems there is almost no other remix for this song.
I was kinda Hoping the SA-X made a return in the form of yet again an unstoppable Boss. The X are adaptable, and took many forms that were immune to Samus' weaponry over the course of Metroid Fusion. Who's to say one or two forms survived the crash of the BSL Research station?
Oh SA-X,impressive work, with the sounds effect they add something authentic with the medley. Just in time because its spooktober I love it good job anyway.
New moveset for SA-X Grapple grab, to pull you in and attack. Arm Cannon swipe, if you're hit with this you will become dizzy for short amount of time. Speed booster, if given enough room it can speed boost and shine spark you. Beams and missiles, if you don't have the varrier suit it can one shot you, by freezing you and then hitting you with a super missile, or if you're hiding behind something it can use wave Beam. Power bomb spam, it's can spam power bombs and if you are not far enough it will take one E tank. ScrewAttack, if you're hit with this it takes 2 E-tanks. X-ray scope, if you're hiding, then make sure you can move since the X-ray scope, only has peripheral vision, allowing you to stay out of sight even if it can look through walls, Collecting items, if you take too long to get an item, or you're running from it and then you try to grab an item it will take it, however if there is an item in the room, you can use it as a distraction, and let the SA-X get it while you get away. Infection, if there are enemies that are not infected by X, it will kill them and then infect them, resurrecting them as X hosts. IT has no WEAKNESS, except for WATER, if you go in water it will give up the chase, since it's only got the varia suit, it will not chase even though you might not have the gravity suit, because from your memories it knows trying to take a Target down in the water the bad idea without the gravity suit. ( So what you think? Wouldn't this be cool?)
The SA-X having these kind of maneuvers would make it a real monster to avoid, like the Dread EMMI but even worse. I'd LOVE to play that. A Dread-style counter sequence would be awesome too.
@trackmastertheman7801 I see a problem with that tho. The SA-X is Samus at FULL power. Samus just had the gravity suit off at the time. So the SA-X being able to pick up items you need wouldn't make much sense unless it can use the items as an ambush strategy. Learning as you do .

The SA-X terrified me much more because of its twisted nature and imposing presence. The EMMI though definitely get the thrill and panic of the chase down!
What makes the SA-X more terrifying is the fact that there’s a slight chance you could win. I know that sounds like an oxymoron but here me out. *I know I done wrote a hole ass essay here so I’d like to thank you if you actually chose to read the whole thing* The E.M.M.I. are shown impervious to (almost) everything in Metroid Dread. Meanwhile the SA-X can be stunned for a mere moment. And as you get more powerful the higher your chances of surviving a fight become. Unlike the E.M.M.I. where you only get a higher chance of successfully running away. The idea that you have a slightly bigger chance against the SA-X leads one to try out the odds just a little more in every encounter… only to get bodied and sometimes killed for this. This isn’t just fear anymore. This is stress and adrenaline. The game is designed to give you the choice of Fight or Flight when the SA-X appears. The E.M.M.I. don’t give you this choice. If you don’t run you’re dead unless you get lucky and land the counter. Overtime the E.M.M.I. become more of a hindrance to a downright nuisance you just have to deal with. And you know at exactly what point you’re in actual danger. The SA-X appearing out of nowhere vs the E.M.M.I. appearing in certain zones that are clearly labeled. There’s just no fear anymore. You adapt to the E.M.M.I. But you can’t adapt to the SA-X until the end of the Metroid Fusion when Samus has surpassed herself from Super Metroid… or I guess of the timeline she now surpassed herself from Other M…?
