It was sold on an auction for $14,200 and is a truly awesome working collectible to whoever won it. There are definitely some parts I would love to have on an ebike designed like that, but it's beautiful chopper ebike that is sure to please it's new owner and grab a lot of attention.

The most gorgeous bike to me and thank you for talking about it. I just took delivery of a Lectric 2.0 and I'm getting used to riding and accepting how much ebikes cost, so I don't have a price point for this one yet. There are so many expensive ebikes out there that are so unappealing to me. I mean why buy a $5000 ebike that may be limited to 20mph and not have great range...I could buy a good used motorcycle instead. If Harley can goose up the battery and motor without losing the shape and appeal, it would so be a winner IMO. This is essentially what Hyundai did with cars... great styling, reliable cars that cost a bit less.
Funny thing… it didn’t even dawn on me that I could get a full blown motorcycle for that price. I was too distracted by the flashbacks of being a kid again after seeing that bike. Haha.
After getting a Lectric XP it’s tough to put a price that is adequately comparable in value for what you get. It’s still the best value for the performance you get that I can find when doing a part by part price comparison on top of the power and speed you get.
What is lacking in the industry are purpose built e bike frames.
Yes. Totally agree. I think that will be a winning business concept/focus. Some of the German ebikes more purpose focused but very expensive.
I had a colombia bike when I was 12 or so. We'd pull the fenders off, put high handle bars and of course a banana seat. Yrs later I worked at Colombia bike in Westfield Massachusetts on the production line. Not sure why it closed or when really, but was still going after I left for awhile.

I love the bike to be honest. I’d pay 1500 at the most for it to be my second bike. It’s really cool but I feel like they’re making you pay for the brand haha Either way it’s a really nice looking bike. I wonder how much it weighs
Great question. I am guessing it’s going to be on the lighter side for an average ebike since it has a smaller 250w motor, smaller average battery, no gears and a gates carbon belt, and no suspension. If the frame is aluminum, I think it could come in as low as 50-55lbs or maybe even less. Yeah, that brand price will likely add quite a bump if the ever mass produce it.
That is a cool bike. I see that Schwinn still makes the classic Krate and Stingray bikes, available on Amazon. I wonder if it would be easy to adapt an ebike conversion kit to fit one of these bikes....? Great vid!

After seeing a half dozen articles about this ebike and watching the video on it, I found myself talking and sharing a lot about it. Just thought it was super cool. There is big news that the battery shortage is getting really bad, but I really wanted to talk share about something more fun.
No other really big interesting news went on in the ebike industry and this weekend I’m doing a review on a bike from a newer ebike company.
IMHO Harley ebikes are made with nice design BUT all eBikes are overpriced (just like all ebikes). I mean enviolo hub and Brose? Just in 2018 I had a test ride with ebike with Brose motor at under $1600. With Harley Davidson like company, who can mass produce ebikes, I expected to get Rholoff or Pinion IGH, Magura brakes, 200+ miles range and prices that beat major European brands to start bike revolution here in USA. Actually in USA ebikes should be lot cheaper, durable and comfortable that huge workforce that struggle to live on minimum wage and meager Social Security income.
Look at Australia’s stealth electric bike: great design, parts and range that they sell in AU$5000 (US$3700) but ebikes that are imported from China, Japan and Taiwan (just like in USA) are better built and range around AU$2000 -2500 (including taxes: Australia has 30%GST + import duties and EPA charges on import).
In USA Tax credits on partial electric cars exists for over a decade but no credits on ebikes that is a shame. Until this year, bicycle industry did not even attempted to lobby for such credits.
As the price of these nice ebikes is known to the criminal element, you really have to be fearful of riding around and being attacked to have your bike stolen. Easy money to be made by these criminals.

I could not figure out how to buy from you, but I did get a Zoom seat post for my XP 2.0. It works great. Also I have 2 Schwinn OCC bikes complete I was going to put 2 stroke kits on. I am not a huge guy but I am 235lbs. I have a OCC already built with a gas motor for me that is a ball to ride.
love the bike.... reminds old guys like me of the Schwinn Krates that came out in the late 60's.... give me an orange one with a extended banana seat, and I'd pay the 4k !!!
