    This video is worthless advice. We all know the best way to travel is by FIRST CLASS! Lol video is ignorant because it doesn't take consideration into the fact that "premium economy" costs more than regular economy. If money is not a factor, then everyone would be in "premium economy" or higher. Those that are in regular economy do so because they have no choice. So there is no point to this video.

    Most of the content in this video goes without saying. Of course PE offers more benefits than economy. But how much more you need to pay is not mentioned at all. If price is not an important concern, why don't we just fly in first class which offers way more benefits than PE?

    The most important factor in our decision is PRICE. That is not mentioned in this advertisement. Presently Premium Economy is way Overpriced. I wait for 12 months before I will consider premium economy again.

      Yep Premium Economy generally tends to be TWICE the price of economy from what I've seen recently, not just a fractional increase.

      Currently you can get the feeling that Economy is the still Economy, Premium Economy is priced as business and business is priced as first class. It's rediculus. If it would be 20% more i would consider it but at the moment premium Economy is often more than 100% more expensive than the Economy class

    I have just flown on SQ in Premium Economy. From Australia to Europe. Fare difference being approx AUD2000. Not worth it. Purchase exit row in economy, and extra baggage if you need. You can also purchase lounge access if you want it. All you can’t purchase is check in, and boarding. Had I purchased exit row on all flights it would have been approx AUD500.

    When shopping for a product or service one must consider the businesses reason for offering options. Generally it's to make more revenue. This video seems like a commercial for airlines rather than good advice.

    The point is that you should spend extra money, if I have the money why not first class , also my main concern is to get from point A to B the fastest and safest so I can get on with my life 🤙

      Try business class or 1st and your mind will change. I thought like you too and then I flew business. Trust me lying down & watching TV while flying is much better

    Next up, video on why you should always upgrade to First Class on Ultra Long Haul

  • @lesallen45

    TRY THAI AIRWAYS you get nothing of an upgrade. I paid GBP3,500 for 2 Premium Economy seats from LHR (UK) to Bangkok Thailand last September & the only thing extra was baggage which I did not need & cancellation fees etc. would be less. Seating & food exactly same as GBP650 Economy seat. I asked for bulkhead seats on our return & they wanted GBP80 each extra for tha. Absolutely disgraceful we are flying EVA in November same LHR to BKK but Business class & boy that costs an arm & a leg.

    I'm pretty sure that the world traveller plus seat do not get lounge access on ba. Unless do you know a way to get it?

    • @o.c.g.m9426
      @o.c.g.m9426 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you have an American Express Platinum Credit Card....Apply for Priority Pass for lounge access...Google it. You welcoms

      due to the higher tier points, for me, two long haul round trips, 4 legs, in a given member year earned me Silver status so access to lounges regardless of ticket.

    • @o.c.g.m9426
      @o.c.g.m9426 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Tzvi092 exactly.....I have silver status(bout to be gold when I get back from Hong Kong). I only have access to lounge access due to my amex platinum/business class ticket or my priority pass

      @@o.c.g.m9426That’s great that you have lounge access, but would you still get that lounge access if you bought an economy ticket, or do you still need to buy premium economy?

    For a long haul flight, upgrading to premium is totally worth it if you can afford to.
    The better food and entertainment is great, but those few inches of extra room make all the difference in the world.

    The seats shown here for P.E. don’t exist on most airlines. Also not all allow priority check in and priority security . Again meals vary, on some airlines the food in P.E. is not much better than Economy. Check what the airline you are going to use before deciding to book.

  • @peterfinn6098

    The food you received in economy 25 years ago was better than today’s premium economy. Its a joke, for me it’s all or nothing so economy or biz, no premium for me since i understand the rip,off

  • @rcnordo4366
    @rcnordo4366 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    This is almost total BS.
    Premium economy is 80% as expensive as biz and 20% better than economy. If your company is paying for it OK but unless it is truly 10+ hour long haul it is difficult to justify. I say that as someone who flies internationally 10+ times a year.
    Food is usually the same as economy on most airlines (you do usually get better booze) so that is flat out incorrect.
    A lot of references to "some airlines" here having certain features and perks hides the fact most do NOT.

  • @reefhound9902

    Of course it's nicer but the flights I'm looking at it it is $1200 more RT than economy. That $1200 can buy a whole lot more comfort and convenience at my destination.

    Not worth of money for long flight. The price difference is double yet you only get a few more inches - still can not sleep. For that much money I can buy a brand new iPhone. Business class on the other hand is much better but it's very expensive. I booked 2 business class flights to Romania and Ukraine during the pandemic for about $2500 USD and $2800 USD each round trip and now the price is at least double.

    • @Entertainment-is6ex
      @Entertainment-is6ex 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yep business class or above if you really want a good night's sleep (with lie flat seat).

    Earlier boarding is irrelevant. The plane leaves at a certain time regardless when you sit down.

    • @JohnSmith-xq5kw
      @JohnSmith-xq5kw 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Exactly. I would rather be the last person to board.

  • @formulaic78
    @formulaic78 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    To me the greatest advantage of premium economy is a bigger seat with greater recline. Even three inches of extra recline can make sleep far more possible because it gets you that little bit closer to fully reclined. It isn't worth paying double though. I would never pay more than 30% extra for premium economy and prefer 10 to 20%. If u book far enough ahead you can even get it for practically free sometimes. I just bought my flights home for next summer, 9 months ahead and paid almost no extra. I actually paid 10% more to get the flight with flexibility in date changes and refund, because I wasn't paying anything extra for premium economy.

    Premium Economic class does have extra perks that we didn't even know about. We checked into the Paris airport 2 hours before our fly and realized the custom line was longer than I ever expected. We thought we would miss the flight. Luckily, upon checking our boarding pass, they let us wait in a shorter line for business and premium economy class. We barely made it even in the shorter line. We definitely would be late if we had economy class.

    It doesn’t matter it’s all on the same plane going to the same destination so the people who are winning are the people paying less

    I wish the domestic flights had better premium economy. As it is, seat is same as economy. All you get is 4” more legroom. And same meal but free

    If you want real comfort upgrade to business class. I paid $595 at the gate for an upgrade from basic economy on my trip to Rome from Dulles Washington DC. For seniors like me with pre existing conditions bus. class is the way to go

    The only reason we upgrade to Premium Economy is to have just 2 seats when there is just the two of us. I hate sitting next to a stranger for many hours! If you get a fat person next to you it's hell!!
    The extra few inches of legroom does not make me sleep any better and nothing else included has any value to me. When travelling with family or friends we just go economy and save some money

      if a person is 2 big to sit in a seat without bothering the people beside them then they should be kicked off the flight, im sorry but if u fat and hangover into other area, get off, thats what i think about fat people flying lol

    The passenger In your front still can recline all the way back to you.

    • @jean-yvesferry4669
      @jean-yvesferry4669 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Not so. On many airlines, the reclining seat actually slides forward and provides a leg rest WITHOUT encroaching on the space of the passenger behind you. This feature depends on the airline seat model, but Premium Economy of better airlines such as Singapore, Emirates, etc...offer this feature, unlike the Economy Plus of cheaper airlines.
