      I've managed to keep nails on with tabs for like 2 weeks and they're way easier to remove than glue (easier to reuse a set of pretty press ons).
      HOWEVER, if you keep them on for a long time they easily trap moisture from when you're washing your hands etc. After removal my nails felt soft and weak and needed a day or two to recover

      I tried the tabs and they don’t work for me. They are too thick or something. I get like an hour wear and if I’m super careful maybe 4 hours lol. I use glue and can go 3 weeks to a month. As it grown I polish with clear and buff it

    I've been following you for ages and knew about this method. Finally, I got my nail license and am currently working at a salon. My boss made me feel like a fool by doing this step when doing a black and red ombre set. 😢 she said I should never do this, as she's been doing nails for a long time and never needed to do anything like this, as she proceeds to rip off the acrylic nails off clients nails with a nail tip showing me that it dose not stain the natural nails. 🙄

Yesterday I found your video how to put tips with gel, I haven't been wearing them for years and kinda forgot the process, but today I did my nails and they came out gorgeous 😍 The number of tips you always give to us is a blessing. I've been doing my own nails for 5 years, and i really enjoyed it, but my first mistake was that I would rip off my nails. I stopped doing that. Then I got an efile, and on my thumb nails, I would file around the cuticle a little obsessively, and i have divets in those nails. Then my other nails I've been letting them grow out, but as they grow out, they are thin and chip as they go. I need help to make a plan to grow back my natural nails but still be able to put on extensions when I want. It's there help for my nails?

    Thanks to you and a few others I watched, I wanted to use an e-file and learned that having a base like builder gel can provide some protection for the natural nail particularly as a novice to e-file use. So far, I have been doing well and feeling more confident. I only do my own nails, so formal training isn't an option. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience.

    I do something similar to what you do but with gel. For a while I didn't do it and learned my lesson when my nails became weak (bending and cracking horribly). Now they are strong and can take a bit more of a 'beating'. My job situation changed recently and now I have to change how I do my nails again. My job makes it so my fingers get smashed every so often so I've had to shorten my long natural nails since they were breaking. I'll grow them out again, just not as long so I wont have as much trouble.

Because I'm not a nail tech, I've always shied away from doing acrylic and in recent weeks I've been using the full cover soft gel tips, applied with hybrid gel. When I take them off my natural nails have grown lovely underneath - that's from watching your videos Suzie! I'm going to practice on my practice fingers using hybrid gel and dual forms - again that's from watching you Suzie - hybrid gel seems to suit my nails better than builder gel.

      I use it because i do nail content on my channel. The key is if your going to want it off right away use a product like unt ready for take off but if you want a weeks worth of wear and be able to just pop them off then it’s an amazing product. I find the easiest way to remove is to lift an edge and put the one kill oil under that lifted area and jet it sit for a couple of minutes then use your orange wood stick and gently lift little by little if it’s still stuck as more oil and wait. If you want a little easier removal you can out a tiny strip of ready for takeoff down the middle of the one kill

So much that I even stopped training in acrylic and leaned more into gel sculpture but here you’re applying a thin layer of acrylic to PROTECT your natural nail. This is news to me! I’m sorta new to gel polish, started in April & it took me a while to figure out how to protect my real nails & now that I got that figured I got swelling & sensitivity under 2 nails. Think (not sure) it’s from sealing edges & gel polish underneath got on skin & burned under UV. So I researched just now what to do and I saw liquid latex around the skin. My question is can you put a Vasoline under the nail on skin to do the edge or will that burn like you would get a sunburn? If you can’t use Vasoline, can you put that blue painters tape under there? The skin looks fine but is sensitive sorta of a numb puffed up pain, I think gel polish might have gotten in between nail & skin underneath, not sure though!

      The best way I got my natural nails to grow strong was taking EVERYTHING OFF. Kept my hands out of water as much as possible (also have eczema) and moisturize and oil. Concentrate on massaging oils and mousturizers in surrounding skin to nail plate. Use an good lotion/cream several times a day. After 2 weeks you'll have noticeable improvement in strength of nails. Staying out of water as much as possible was key for me. Now my natural nails are so nice after awhile that I don't want to put extensions on 😂.
      Edit: do a warm oil soak once a week with avocado or jojoba oils also. You can easily search how on TH-cam.

    @prettifulmuffin 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Can you please do a video on how to remove gel polish on NATURAL long nails? I have watched your videos about using different nail bits. I have one that has a lot of “teeth” which I have been using in conjunction with softer bits once the layers start getting closer to my natural nail. But it takes me FOREVER to do even one hand even with the use of the bit with a lot of edges and teeth. Also, you always say to go side to side with the bit for faster results but I’m finding it hard to do that when it’s my own nails

    • @NailCareerEducation
      @NailCareerEducation  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, it is actually rather hard to do your natural nails. And I will say it is rather hard to remove gel polish off of natural nails without disturbing the natural nails at least a little bit. One thing I can suggest is you can put a extra coat of your base gel. I have a product called protect and I suggest two layers of that before you put your gel color. And if you want a lot more thickness, you could also paint, a layer of Suzie‘s glass nails it’s a hard gel and it would cause a very thin barrier between your natural nail and the gel polish. This would be really highly advised if you’re going to file them off. You could also consider soaking them off and acetone. You could file the majority off and then soak the rest, but just remember if you’re going to soak so as opposed to scraping off the last little bit

    Can I paint natural nails, then use nail glue and dip powder to strengthen? I always soak my nails and do not use file.

    Hi Suzi, I finally got my order. I don't know why customs held on to them so long. I love your products and your videos. I was disappointed however that I did not hear back from you guys when I e-mailed asking for help in getting my order 😢

    I have been using dip powder system, but my nails are weak, I find the removal process very hard. and dont like the use of accetone, I always put celar powder on my nail nails first before putting colour on. Have you used this system...or your comments, should certain nail tpes not using specific systems?

      I’m not a fan of dips
      I don’t like the process
      I don’t like the way they build Apex
      In fact, I would never use it to build a nail
      I could see it for maybe a colour but not for a build

    Unfortunately, I am SEVERELY allergic to any gel. I have given up and started using a coat of nail glue between coats of clear nail polish .😢

      Are you allergic to latex? I've heard of using thin layers of latex as a barrier while applying gel polish to protect the skin or using it on the natural nail bed as a blocker. I haven't tried it myself so I'm unsure how well it works

    question, do you use a fan of some sort while filing to avoid all the acrylic from permeating in the space??

    • @NailCareerEducation
      @NailCareerEducation  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes over the years I’ve used various types of fans. The simplest and cheapest is placing a fan in the window extracting the air

    I do my own gel nails and they lift at the sides. The natural nail is thin and bends away from the gel. Is there a treatment program to strengthen nails while wearing gels please?

    • @NailCareerEducation
      @NailCareerEducation  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No, to be honest
      But the product is not causing the issue. Your natural nails grown alittle curled - so it appears to be pulling away but its natural - you just have to file your nail short or file it away as it grows

      @NailCareerEducation thanks for the response! My nails are pretty short but I am REALLY hard on them, cleaning, animal care and plastering/sanding/painting.

    I am a training nail tech in the uk, ive passed my level 2 and im not mid way through my level 3, i am on a lot of medication (24 different medicine up to 3 times per day) and my natural nails are horrendous, wish i could post a pic of how bad they are. I stared using press-ons with a uv cured glue, i thought i was giving my nails a break but they have gotten worse. But im in a bit of a hole, because i feel like, im a nail tech and i cant look after my own nails, so i put press ons again and now im going round in circles, please can anyone help with this. The are literally down to the nail bed, they are so so red near the cuticle, on both thumbs the whole top of the nail has gone, it looks like an extreme nail biters nails. My middle finger nail has split right down the middle to the cuticle and it started to pull the nail in 2 directions so im now left with what looks like a set of mountains with clear sky inbetween, and that is really sore, its right down to the skin.
    Omg sorry for the massive essay.
    If anyone could give me any advise thats be amazing. Tia xxx

    Suzie, you always on abt protecting your lungs, but I battle with my eyes & I wear glasses! I have a horrible ocular condition: ocular rosacea & any dust esp fm e-filing that gets into the air, invariably gets into my eyes 😢 i guess using a screen like advised during covid would help.. but it would be an awful pain!!
    Thank you for all the Nail Education you give everyone ❤❤

    She’s been doing nails for 35 years but how come she never developed an allergic from it? Some people have only been doing it for a year or 2 and developed contact dermatitis even with extra precautions. 😢

      Just like why some people are allergic to strawberries and some aren’t
      Doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with strawberries
