These G5500 Sansuis are really nice receivers in all ways-both in looks and performance. I have had several, most of them I bought to flip and resell, as you can't keep them all. I still have a really nice example of the G5500 for my collection. They have strong output and super clean sound with a faint hint of darkness. I really like them. They are worth every buck you put out to buy them. They are pretty scarce and hard to find as they were made only between 1980-81. So don't expect to pick a good one up for less than 2 bills, if the seller knows what they are. This demo doesn't do this receiver any justice unfortunately, as the videographer fumbles with the operations of this receiver (which is easy to operate). The sound quality is weak and poor. I noticed he has a couple of prized Marantz receivers sitting a few feet away, which is no doubt what he really likes to listen to.

The G5500 is a 60 watt receiver and the G5000 is a 45 watt receiver
I got one of these for free from the security guard at my school. It belonged to his now deceased father who was an audio enthusiast like myself
Monster is right. At 41.8 pounds it's a beast. A very heavy 45wpc receiver.
