When I bought my 11 year old 80 Series 17 years ago, the first thing my mechanic said to me was watch those cone nuts don’t come loose, check them regularly! I always have ant they’ve never come loose ! Over 500k km on the clock and still going strong 😂🇷🇴
This has to be the most boring channel on TH-cam. No click bait, no drama, no yelling, impossible situations turned mundane. You guys are just too good for your own good. There is a term used in special operations “the quiet professionals” I think it applies to you in the recovery world and as long as you keep churning out these videos I’ll keep watching no matter how boring you guys are! Just joking, another great video👍
1. Driving off road = impressive 2. Repairing broken stuff in the boon docks = impressive 3. Spotting small broken off bits of vehicle on the trail while driving = super natural
It sure beats the hell outa me as to how Rory saw those nuts and bolts in the dirt, with all the twigs, little rocks, and general debris on the track - the big guy must have eyes like an eagle. I'll say it again fellas - it's not that this stuff is easy, but simply the fact you guys male it appear so. Impressive, very impressive. Go Team Trailm8er!
Rory and his eagle eye vision spotting the bolts on the trail!!! Seriously badass! Another totally awesome trail repair! So rad Ole Blue is getting some more upgrades. you guys rock!!
I'm in heaven: TWO videos in a little over a day! awesome. Thanks Rory and crew for making these videos. Here is an idea: underneath the "Thanks for watching" maybe write "And thanks for subscribing 👍" Your channel deserves a lot more subs! Hugs from Belgium.
Add Eagle Eyes to his list of talents. I am not surprised that he knew they would make a difference, and even where on the trail they most likely dropped off. But to find them amongst the dust and distractions.....the Force is Strong in this One.
It's like being there. They are really good at capturing that without overproducing anything. Just some guys taking us along while they perform a pretty unique job.
I subscribe to Matt, fab rats and you guys. I’m telling you that Trailmater by far is the most amazing, skilled group of men I’ve ever seen. The scenery is incredible, the repairs and recovery are always done masterfully and everything looks like it’s no big deal to you guys. Coming from a retired aircraft mechanic you guys are golden. What most people would say is impossible, you guys would say it will take a couple of hours. Incredible channel. Thanks for sharing your work Rory, Mike and Shawn.
Rory and his crew can fix almost anything. When I was younger I was the kid on the job and I loved working with the older men. They might ride me some, but they were always looking out for me. As one older worker said one day on the job, "I can fix that. Fix anything from a broken heart to the crack of dawn." The older I got, the more I worked along side of them, the more I learned and respected them.
No front dig to protect the terrain. That is awesome! The scenery is amazing and there was some nice footage from Mike of it today. You truly know your stuff when you know ahead of time to look for fallen parts before you even get to the rig. That’s impressive!
I don't know what is more impressive, Rory's driving skills or the fact that he can spot a washer laying in the dirt while driving the trail !! Always enjoy watching these videos
Not only are you a wheelman... you truly understand the repairs. This shows in your ability to know what to be looking for, what to bring, etc and effeciently get these rigs/people safely off the trai. Keep up the awesome work!!
Got to keep Rory and crew around!!! I dearly love watching the guys do Recoveries; no doubt one of the Top 3 Channels Period. These guys Rock like Clapton and Santana Man; and no one rocks like those 2 Dudes so that is sayin sumpin!👍
10:24 It is AWESOME that people recognize the CELEBRITIES on the trails, even if some people have poor "taste" with hats. Great video, as always!! Love watching.
"Hey, famous guy!" One of the things that makes the Trail Mater videos so fun is the view from the axles. But I wanted to add that there is also a strange but very satisfying effect watching all six wheels pushing the same tire pattern...sort of meditative. And while I agree with extra Mayo, I can't abide the exclusion of tomatoes. After the B, it's the best part of the BLT. Another fine video. Thanks Rory, Sean, and Mike.
I trimmed my rose bushes last week, but will have to wait weeks for the bloom; but surprise I got to see the splendid views of Rose Garden Hill (that beats up so many vehicles). Impressive video & artful & skillful fix in the field.
Thank you for the protection of the terrain... (no front dig)... nice to se the pretty "paint brush" flowers along the trail 🙂 Thanks for sharing your beautiful piece of the world.....Great to see Old Blue getting the TLC and upgrades... another Monster Mater 🤩 You make the mish mash of cogs, gears and trinkets sound sooo easy... 😂 but I am sure it is all very delicate mechanical surgery 🙂
Thank you for getting back to the format that I originally started watching you for. I really have missed watching you come up with unique way to fix not only on the trail, but your own rigs in the shop.. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Rory, Like a hound dog tracking an animal! He can sniff those loose parts like no one else! You guys always make it look easy. Thanks for the videos :)
Rory is a repair master on these trail's Sean and Mike are excellent backup team members. Rory knew to look for the washer's that he knew would be missing and he recovered them and completed the repair as needed and the owner drove it out! Good job 👍
One thing, among many, that stands out in your video's that I really enjoy is that you guys always have great shots of the scenery where you go to recover or fix rigs. It is prodding me to get my Willys project of the ground and go see your beautiful country, keep up the good work!
this is the 3rd time im watching this and i missed the finding of breadcrubms 2wice haha i got pulled away both other times free time aint so free sometimes im glad i came back to it great video as always i agree with the boring guy you guys really are a CUT ABOVE the rest no offense to any other BAMF offroad recovery team of which there is a decent selection RESPECT💪
It is always a good day when Rory and his team can fix a rig so it can drive off the trail. Some beautiful scenery there today also. Keep doing what you're doing and I'll keep watching. Thanks guys!
Few people can run a tow truck as professionally as you do. Fewer people can do it off-road, and even FEWER can make off-road-repairs as successfully as you do!!! Rory, Mike and Shawn are the ones I'd call EVERY TIME!!!
@TrailMater needs to stay! I learned A LOT from watching these videos, two weeks ago we pulled two cars from our group from a really messy situation and knowledge gained from this channel and @Matsoffroadrecovery channel helped big way! please keep this going!
Always good to see a successful trail repair. Likewise always good to see in-shop required equipment maintenance, improvement & repairs on the tools that do the heavy work.
There's a saying in the 80 community, "Check yer nuts!" Every time after you go wheeling, you need to retorque them. There are also stronger ARP ones, and wits end makes a "nut hugger." Easy upgrades and very worth it if you're hard on your 80 like me. Peace!
"Hey thats the famous guy", that guy yelled out. Rory and team y'all are touching many peoples lives around the globe 👍👍👍
Please like this video! We need to get Rory’s like to view ratio a lot higher. This will keep him around much longer.
Always the first thing I do and comment to keep the algorithm content!👍🍻

Over 500k km on the clock and still going strong 😂🇷🇴
Aye aye kapitan.
I'm not one to comment on video's, but I am going to try to comment on each one watched. Simply put this channel (ROCKS). 🇺🇸
This has to be the most boring channel on TH-cam. No click bait, no drama, no yelling, impossible situations turned mundane. You guys are just too good for your own good. and No clown show and No cleavage showing, WTF is wrong with this channel. don't they want 10 million subs, like the other tubers.
Haha! Great job with that. It should be stickied.
truth
If it get's to boring just let Sean laugh for a minute. I always get a smile in my face when he laughs. Same with Ben at the Fab Rats.
lol, nice!
Thanks for the beautiful views
Wonderful shop magic!
Can't wait to see "Old Blue" up and running with the upgrades. Love them Chevy's!
The creaks..the sweaks...the cobling of parts...windshield wipers that work...the scenery...Insanely Groovy...
1. Driving off road = impressive
2. Repairing broken stuff in the boon docks = impressive
3. Spotting small broken off bits of vehicle on the trail while driving = super natural
The Trail Mater team is just awesome .
And Rory has an eagle eye, too! He's a Super Hero! As always 👍👍
Rory and TrailMater win the scavenger hunt. 😉
😆 "male it appear so"
Blue getting some love! Excited to see that. Also, Rory with the eagle eye spotting those bolts from the cab!
Rory and his eagle eye vision spotting the bolts on the trail!!! Seriously badass! Another totally awesome trail repair! So rad Ole Blue is getting some more upgrades. you guys rock!!
Funny you finding the parts along the way! Hansel & Gretel with the bread crumbs lol
Between the great content and the beautiful amazing scenery,
Another trail fix … great! Scenery … awesome as usual, even beautiful flowers in bloom: thanks Mike! And Rory has a new nickname … Hawkeye Irish! 😊😊😊
I'm in heaven: TWO videos in a little over a day! awesome. Thanks Rory and crew for making these videos.
Here is an idea: underneath the "Thanks for watching" maybe write "And thanks for subscribing 👍"
Your channel deserves a lot more subs! Hugs from Belgium.
Still my favourite channel, keep up the great content
Awesome job. Especially finding those tiny pieces in the dirt.
Add Eagle Eyes to his list of talents.
I am not surprised that he knew they would make a difference, and even where on the trail they most likely dropped off. But to find them amongst the dust and distractions.....the Force is Strong in this One.
eagle-eye Rory.
Mike, those diamond bill rock peckers are getting big. Rory, your recoveries are incredible. Your craftsmanship is awesome!
"hey there's that famous guy" Love the wildflowers
Keep up the Good Work!
The rumble of the exhaust...the squeaking of the suspension...and the undercarriage shots....priceless!
It's like being there. They are really good at capturing that without overproducing anything. Just some guys taking us along while they perform a pretty unique job.
Rory...has the eyes of an eagle and experience to spot the broken pieces that fell off! AmZing find & fix with super team Mike & Shawn!
I subscribe to Matt, fab rats and you guys. I’m telling you that Trailmater by far is the most amazing, skilled group of men I’ve ever seen. What most people would say is impossible, you guys would say it will take a couple of hours. Incredible channel. Thanks for sharing your work Rory, Mike and Shawn.
💯% agree
I agree Fab Rats and Matt’s has their own things they do well but trail recovery and trail fixes it’s Rory All Day Every Day!!!
Rory and his crew can fix almost anything. When I was younger I was the kid on the job and I loved working with the older men. They might ride me some, but they were always looking out for me. As one older worker said one day on the job, "I can fix that. Fix anything from a broken heart to the crack of dawn." FOR REAL AMEN TO REAL MEN DOIN REAL MENS WORK..
Rory and the Mater Crew are the best.
As an FJ80 driver, I'm glad you are bringing awareness to the knuckle stud issue. Guys, always check your nuts!
every day before i leave the house :-)
I'm in my 60's and my nuts won't tighten like they use to 😢
No front dig to protect the terrain.

Love how you guys are very conscientious about the land you wheel on.
I trimmed my rose bushes last week, but will have to wait weeks for the bloom; but surprise I got to see the splendid views of Rose Garden Hill (that beats up so many vehicles). Impressive video & artful & skillful fix in the field.

I love watching recovery’s of any 80 series. Can’t wait to see what’s happening to blue in the next one. Thanks for the videos
It's a good thing that Blue only goes to the Show and Shine once a month and never is teetering off-camber on the edge of a cliff.
One thing, among many, that stands out in your video's that I really enjoy is that you guys always have great shots of the scenery where you go to recover or fix rigs. It is prodding me to get my Willys project of the ground and go see your beautiful country, keep up the good work!
Finding the absolute necessary parts is icing on the cake! Stay safe and looking forward to seeing blue fixed.
Can't wait to see the blue wrecker with lockers and doing digs!!!
Great video, guys. thanks for the laughs.

Love the channel Rory, but I think we’d all like to see more builds. Thanks for the content!
We can’t loose Rory what would the world come to without Trailmater 😮
Love the recoveries! Would also love to see more shop/ build videos too.
I like watching all your great recovery and mechanical skills. You guys make my day, because you are real.
Rory, with the been there, done that knowledge, but none of the know it all attitude.
Thanks to Mike and Shawn for keeping it light and fun to watch.

Awesome job guys! I like the country views also.
You guys are a riot, great joy to watch!!❤
Peanut carries Matt's Off Road Recovery. Rory and the lads skills, and Trail Matter's ability are what makes TH-cam worth watching.
Love the wide scenery shots. Such a beautiful place. Great vids.guys!
I’m happy to see Blue getting some loves and getting the doubler so we get digs from her. Looking forward to that content as you build her up.
Can't believe you actually found the broken bolts on the trail! And Mater did that entire recovery in 2WD? You guys are awesome! :)
Amazing scenery in this one 👍
Little Miss Broken Record here....just absolutely awesome all around yet again! Keep on rockin, we'll keep on watching!!!
Few people can run a tow truck as professionally as you do. Fewer people can do it off-road, and even FEWER can make off-road-repairs as successfully as you do!!! Rory, Mike and Shawn are the ones I'd call EVERY TIME!!!
Amazing recovery team. They do what I often think is impossible. Great videos all round. 👍

Great job again guys, and Rory you make an old truck mechanic proud of the trade buy repairs on the trail that most won’t even attempt in the shop👍
Always good to see a successful trail repair. Likewise always good to see in-shop required equipment maintenance, improvement & repairs on the tools that do the heavy work.
