…and that was another way of playing it…Eddie played it the way u saw n that bio until he saw it played this way…now he plays it like this. Eddie was telling our class the mistakes he used to make with this song…he made a good point for us all, that’s it’s never to late to learn regardless of how far you’ve gone musically and how even great musicians take lessons sometimes from people levels below themselves.
You play the main with like open e string then decend and e string. I play it the exact same way but I play the 7th of the a string instead. I find it easier and its sound right to me which one is the official way möterhead would play it. Also at 0:46 I play open e once and then a power chord at 3. Like this E3A5D5G5. Same riff strum strum strum then up down up down up. Same question as before which one
There really isn’t an official way of playing. You’ll see guitarists play one of their songs one way night after night, then out of the blue with no warning, they play that same song n a completely different way. Depends on the night, the vibe, the buzz of the crowd, etc. IMO, I think a lot of people who are out here learning to play guitar and hunting songs down on the web, then they get in this mode where they think the song is played in a certain, specific way. An official way. They’ll argue with other people that are doing the same thing, hunting down ‘official versions’, and each of them will have their own ‘official version’ but they different from each others. It might b a small difference, maybe a chord or a few notes or whatever, and they’ll argue that their ‘official version’ tab is more official than the other ones. The musician who actually wrote the song doesn’t even have ‘an official version’ most of the time. They’ll play it n different keys, different rhythms, etc. depending on the atmosphere they’re playing in, along with all sorts of different situations that in some way ‘requires a small change’. You’ll b better guitar players the sooner you realize and implement this into ur playing. Play it the way it sounds and feels good to you. THATS the official way.
@@GWade1217 thanks for the tip, I know now alot of songs can be played multiple ways but sometimes I like to play the closest to the studio version so that's why I look for specific tabs, as of now I just follow what I think sound the best
