Jam looks like a pro! Certainly doesn’t look like her first event, she’s mature and bold towards fences and doesn’t look at anything by the look of it. Such a shame the season has come to such a halt, she has all the attributes you’d want in a badminton or burghley horse as well as having awesome scope. She also looks like she was still full of running in very testing/tiring conditions. Well done to both of you and kudos to Hobbit for the vlogging and superior green laning!
And to think that a short 4 years later, you and Jam are now aiming for your first 1* international event together... I think you knew then that you had good one!
Awwww, TH-cam has just recommended this to me after watching the Talland takeover and baby Jammy was just as much of a star as she is now! You were so emotional - obviously knew she was special from day 1.
Those hobbit segments were the cutest things I’ve ever SEEN, also- what a mega pony you’ve produced! Pat on the back for you & a carrot for jammy dodger
It's bean lovely to look back to see where it all started with Jam - competition wise. 🤩Jam always lifts her knees up really high when jumping - such a careful pony/horse! 🐎 She WON her first ODE in ALL that MUD!!!! Well done Megan and Jam, Hobbit too! 🥰
Seeing you get emotional over how much these ponies mean to you proves just how much of a horsewoman you are. I love watching your vlogs. Never stop chasing your dreams Meg! ❤️❤️
Wohooo, the Polo shirt has come out of hibernation, rocking it to the moon and back Hobbit. 🥰😍🥰😍. Top banana on the commentary Hobbit, superb, you are spoiling us.
Jam is a Gem. Maybe a name change? Or at least an additional nickname? She broke my heart when she was nearly indifferent to carrots in the barn :( If she's this good nervous, imagine how she'll be when more experienced. Such a great day for all of you. So well done. Congrats. Also, there were motorcycle or cross-county vehicle motors right at the end of your XC and Jam did not even flinch. She is definitely an up and comer. Thanks for the good spirits. Team Elphick rocks.
Oh my god meg when you starting getting emotional after cross country you actually made me cry! You have so much love for your horses and it really shows! You and jam deserved this! AMAZING ❤️
Awesome video and a fantastic result. You both must be so pleased, what a star Jam is. Absolutely evil conditions and she came through a winner. Well done. Awesome job with the video Hobbit. Congratulations to all three of you. Much love.XXXXX
Aww, you even made me cry. Bless your mom, driving like a superstar and just as she can taste victory, the mud wins. Congrats to you and Jam, wonderful day!
Congratulations ,you guys ,it just shows how well your ponies trust you ,and yes I will say love you as to me it goes beyond trust. Jam may not of done the prep in the disciplines but again at home they get to see the world you know your babies so well your routine is to me spot on if it doesn't feel right don't do it training cannot be written in stone you never ask to much and there happy ponies so they give it back well done 😘for Jam and well done Hobbit for your driving🚜fingers crossed not to much is cancelled but as I write this not looking to good . But stay positive 🐴🐎🐕🐈💜
Oh Jammy, what an absolute legend!! I got all emosh with you after your xc, huge well done to you, Jammy and hobbit! I can't get over how muddy it was, Goat wouldn't have even got round the dressage! xx
That was so wonderful!!! Jam is an absolute star!!! It’s such a shame that the season has been cancelled. I know she’d have competed impressively!!! That mud was the worst I’ve seen in a while. We don’t have rain like that in Southern California!! 😂 I’ll miss these competition vids for the time being but to be fair, I’ll be looking forward to any video you put out Meg!!!🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎✨✨✨👍🏼
This honestly cheered me up so much and i forgot about corona for 40 minutes, Jam is so fab she has such a bright future ahead of her and it shows how well you bring on the ponies. Love all the vlogs and the ponies x
Glad I am not the only one who gets emotional, my dog got his first ever reserve best in show. Bawled like a baby on the way home, it was truly embarrassing. Well done Meg and Jam, superstar pony in the making!
watching this in 2021 and it makes me so emotional!! Look how far she has come, but still gets nervousssss! Bless her little heart. I had to give up horses 5 years ago and your videos bring back all those emotions!!
Meg congratulations to you & Warrior Jam she was absolutely fierce today in that sloppy mess. With your patience and uplifting spirit you both connected and took that course on like old pros . Absolutely wonderful ❤️🏇🏻❤️
Wow !! Jam and Meg you are both awesome, how amazing for you both. Hobbit, you are such a supportive Mum, i love listening to your commentary, so positive! well done team xx
Fantastic ladies, all 3! Jam is so ' round' now, great work Meg. What a brilliant attitude she had for a first-timer. That dressage arena looked dire, and she coped so well! Good job Hobbit! Such a pity this virus has come along, no sport of any kind for the forseeable. Still, congratulations on this!
oh meg you had me in tears watching you after your cross country round! Jam looks incredible! She is so muscular and well put together going over that ground without an issue and she is so happy and just incredible all because you never gave up on her! Congratulations!!!!
Oh Meg! How amazing for you and Jam (I know this was two years ago) Just wanted to say thank you for putting so many fabulous, real, eventing vlogs out there. I’m currently laid up with Covid and have been watching your vids back to back. I’ve not seen my ponies in nearly a week and I need to get better by this weekend as I’ve got a bit fit clinic, a showjumping lesson and an Easter fun show for the kids 🫣
Lovely vlog, especially enjoyed Mums bit. So sorry for the sticky mud...all just part of the fun 😉 you had me in tears..hugs to you three! thanks for sharing!
She acted so good for her first show. It shows you train your horses well and they trust you. Hoped you had a nice day at the show Thank you for the heart Megan
Wow, wow, wow! Just amazing. You, your Mum and Jam, what a team! Can’t quite believe how well she coped and behaved ( Jam, not your Mum🤣) . A testament to your talent , patience and love of horses Meg( and of course the wonderful Hobbit). I hope this the season will allow you to continue your amazing journey-but whatever happens you have a champ on your hands! ( and huge hugs to Hobbit, from now on your lucky stripy too has to go everywhere with you !!!)
Hobbit needs her own channel to vlog the BTS of these videos haha of course dependent on what is actually happening in this country atm! Fingers crossed this virus gets gone quickly and we can all move on with our lives ❤️
hannahshorty Amen to that. This virus makes eventing in a foot of sloppy mud and getting the van stuck in the field look like the most desirable outing on earth! I’m already getting squirrelly being housebound.
Congratulations and you and Jam have done excellent and for her first ever proper show she is like an old pro in a young ponies body I now have a joint third favourite as it is Sally, Bear ,and joint third is Jam and Lara that is out of the older horses oh I can’t wait to see her in the future ❤️🥳
What an amazing little horse Jam is and you ride with confidence which makes your horses so brave. Well done both of you. Thanks for the great video, living vicariously through you at the moment as I got injured from my first event. Also everything has been cancelled here in Australia, our polocrosse season has stopped before it started and now all the jumping/dressage events/clinics are cancelled. I suppose we are lucky that horse riding hasn't been banned yet like in some countries. Hoping you get out more than we are. Looking forward to the next vlog.
I cannot believe the ground...for you two to trudge through that for Jam's first event and come in first....I mean just wow. And watching your happiness and love for her
What an absolutely fantastic pony! You’ve done her well and she’s done you proud. Nice vlogging and commentary by Hobbit, a natural! Y’all are great 👍🏻😁😍
Jammy really is mega!! She was amazing in that showjumping round I was blown away! What a pony (and a decent rider I suppose)! Can't wait to see what the future holds for her...once this blimmin' virus goes away
also want to add in a massive congrats to Hobbit for her absolutely amazing vlogging skills! she's honestly the most entertaining horsey mum out there hahaha
i think this is fab !!! this little pony is so brave and bold its unreal !! cant wait for what lies ahead of you both !! u rode her like you stole her ahaha so proud of you it was cracking xx
Well done Megan. The improvement in Jam is wonderful to see - you have done a fantastic job. I especially loved the way you nurtured her carefully around the jumps. With all that's going on and being one who has had to self-isolate - your videos bring a smile upon my face & help me focus on something uplifting. Looking forward to the next video.
So so awesome! What a lovely first outing for the darling girl ;))) very well done to you! Amazing perseverance but lovely relaxed way you took the day.
I follow you from Sweden and I think you are amazing. Hardworking with great ponies. I love it when you let us follow you through both good and bad. What a great performance this event was!
Someone is going to Burghley!!! Good job Jammy and Meggy! Hobbit did some nice vlogging :) well done mentioning the need to do the right thing even if it does mess up event season so people can be safe about COVID. Glad you got an event in first tho!
what an amazing little horse, I always think how are all of your horses/ponies so amazing for such a young age you must be so lucky, then I realise its all your hard work that clearly pays off, you are an amazing equestrian megan, I watch your videos all the time even in the background at work because you really are an inspiration, x
You both look super! I can’t believe Jams never evented and yet she acted like a total school mistress! She’s going to be even more amazing in the future, I can’t wait!😍❤️❤️
Well done!! What a super pony, she looked so calm throughout the whole thing. Bill Levett is fantastic. I have had a few XC lessons with him and I had enjoyed them so much.
Such a wonderful thing to see how utterly thrilled you were with Jam - particularly after XC. I even got a bit emotional for you. You’ve done a wonderful job training her and you obviously have a great relationship with hr is she’s willing to be so confident in such unfamiliar surroundings and jumping things she’s never seen before. A massive congratulations to you both 🥳. Also, shout out to the excellent commentary from Hobbit. Loved it, she’s a natural ❤️
Wow!! What an incredible pony she is😊 I'm so enjoying catching up on your early vlogs
Aww I do think jammy dodger deserves a juicy carrot 🥕 ❤️
While eventing may have been cancelled for the moment at least you’ve got a 100% win rate so far this season 🤷♂️
😂 always look on the bright side I guess hahah ✨
It's bean lovely to look back to see where it all started with Jam - competition wise. 🤩Jam always lifts her knees up really high when jumping - such a careful pony/horse! 🐎
She WON her first ODE in ALL that MUD!!!! Well done Megan and Jam, Hobbit too! 🥰

Holly Lenahan you cutie ❤️❤️
Watching this 3 years in the future, you can tell jam is a special pony x
My heart 💙 Hobbit was so worried going into the show jumping. You could totally hear a "mothers worry" pleading with Jam to keep her girl safe.
Wohooo, the Polo shirt has come out of hibernation, rocking it to the moon and back Hobbit. 🥰😍🥰😍. Top banana on the commentary Hobbit, superb, you are spoiling us.
She did brilliantly! Good job she can’t read the numbers or she’d have gone round on her own.....no, seriously , well done Jam and Meg!
Jam is a Gem. Maybe a name change? Or at least an additional nickname? She broke my heart when she was nearly indifferent to carrots in the barn :( If she's this good nervous, imagine how she'll be when more experienced. Such a great day for all of you. So well done.
