Correction: It's not ZD Toys' first War machine. They also made a mark 6 and mark 3 back then but it was before ZD Toys' Premium quality line. So technically this is ZD's first war machine in this premium line.

This is my first ZD toys figure, It’s really great. I was amazed by the quality of even the box, it felt way more expensive than it actually was.

Just now learning this is one of the best war machine figures out there imo, Totally going to get one and toothpick tip some bright white into those eyes and reactor core and kit bash that minigun around a bit lol

The ZD Toys are a great entry point for new or young collectors. I thought these were more expensive, but they are a great value. Just wait until the rumored MCU Armor Wars rolls out......

Love the overall look, but the lack of articulation on the minigun is anticlimactic given the hype they made when they released images of the prototype 2(maybe less than 24 months) years ago.

I liked the way war machine looked, he was so unique and less like iron man. He took his own spin and made it his own thing.

My only real complaint about this figure is that while clearly there’s a hefty joint on his feet, the design just impedes it so much - it would’ve helped if there were flaps on those sections just to allow even a tiny bit of articulation, it isn’t fun when all he can do in the ground is stand straight

I just picked up both of these figures. And from what I see I really like. I got the LED version of the Iron Man figure. Would’ve liked to get the war machine LED one but it is what it is. I’m not a big poser, so I like the way they look just standing tall. Also picked up the Hydra stomper. Thanks for the video and the info sir.

I just picked up the Mark 42 and the Iron Patriot based on all of this video. Next is this one itself. I’m thrilled that they’re producing this quality at this price. Can’t wait to pick up the MK2, 3, 4, 6, and IP MK2.

It look amazing for the price, ZD Toys really nailed 1/10 Iron Man figure as this point. Sadly that I will wait a couple of months and pick up the LED MK5 first then the LED WM MK1

Love my zd toys ironman. Just ordered this war machine on AliExpress. Do agree about the dead eyes and arc reactor. The ones got that don’t light up, I used white acrylic paint with a light blue highlight. Seems to make the effects look so much better. And I can’t paint worth a crap. Yet. It was so easy so maybe give it a try. If u don’t like it. The acrylic paint is so easy to take off with water if needed.

Zd toys did actually made the civil war and endgame version but it’s pretty low quality from what I watched because it’s a whole line of characters from said movies

i got mine after three weeks wait for shipping. i'm a little disappointed that the Gatling turret can't move and the articulation in the ab and foot is non-existent, but overall its an awesome WM MK1. i have bought most of the ZD Iron Man except Mk1 and mk43. i guess my expectation for this were much higher. given that they did so many accessories for the luxury version for the Mk50, i kind of expected the Gatling would be articulated.

For me i preferred the no light ver.. because when u taking a picture and u want wet armor u can wet them ...and i just wanted to display them..and not gonna touch it or play it.. that's why i preferred the no light ver 😁

They totally dropped the ball on not having blast effects for his gun and shoulder canon. This seems to be the case with ZD Toys in my experience. They only go so far and then just give up. The arm guns don't fit flush on the arm correctly and the shoulder canon droops. All of those parts should have been cast in rigid plastic and not soft rubber. Also, at the very least, that canon should have had at least one ball joint connection. I'm not trying to swivel mine or anything, but I can feel that it is already starting to tear at one of those thin connection points as I nudge it a bit. Not good. I'm hoping to get some improved extras with the LED version, but I doubt that we will.
Your assessment of the dead eyes is spot on. The really frustrating thing is that they started with opaque white plastic for the eye lenses on their first few releases and then just gave up for no discernable reason. If was a cost decision, and I can't see how that could be possible, it was the wrong choice to make. Even the LED versions look bad. They never look like the eyes or chest RT are glowing because they used clear plastic and the LED is set deep inside. It looks like someone is shining a flashlight from inside and the illumination is uneven and poor looking from most angles. This could have easily been solved by using a semi-translucent or frosted plastic, but they don't ever seem to go that extra step to make any of their products great. It's especially frustrating with the LED figures because they went that extra step to include a rechargeable single button solution that works really well only to end up with sub-par lighting results.

I’ve heard this one has bad qc issues and the articulation is subpar to other releases. One person bought him and he was a lighter matte grey and the ankle did not move at all

I'm still waiting for Hot toys' War Machine Mk1 reissue, that's 1:6 scale, and probably is the best War Machine figure. ZD Toy's War Machine is smaller, the overall quality is inferior, but it's cheaper😂.
