I travelled from UK to Norway for this concert and it was unforgettable. We managed to get a couple of signed CDs at the end. I’ve posted some of songs with improved audio but not this one yet. I might consider adding it if i can make it work successfully.

you really should react to A Song For A, a Robert Burns poem put to classical music by a Russian with an Italian pseudonym and this was the only musical piece on the album with singing. A very different take for Angelina.

This is a translation of Jacques Brel of the iconic "Ne me quittes pas". We don't hear this song much anymore though it was a common fixture of many acclaimed singers in the 60s. I must mention that the original french lyrics of this song are magnificent and immensely superior to the english version. It is worth listening to Brel's original version with subtitles. This song was voted the song of the twenty century in France. Over there and in most french speaking country it is still popular because its powerful poetic lyrics. Brel is an icon in France and Belgium is country of origin. He was also very influential around the the world. his songs were translate in many languages and interpreted by many of the greats: David Bowie, Shirley Bassey, Ray Charles, Nina Simone, Barbra Streisand and Lauren Hill to name a few. This concert was EPIC, according to fans that were there. It was the Album Release Concert for "It's Magic" in 2018. You should add it to your album collection, it's great.

Sadly they did not allow any professional recording equipment there 😒 Some of the songs have had the audio improved by fans, im guessing all of them eventually. Thanks to Boris, who recorded from the audience, at quite a distance!, we have the only available recordings on TH-cam. The only trouble with the concert you are viewing now is that the audio isn’t the best. You really need to watch this other version. Starting with the 30-s, Billie Holiday, all her song choices have been like internalizing all the different parts of music history. And now more and more she arrived in the present. Her originals show, where the development goes, which is definitely not finished. This is like a journey. What leaves us stunned, is the brilliance, she shows during this journey, even at the very beginning of it. And - she always loved to sing for people, in front of crowds or in her room, performing. And she always did it in style. This is her own personality, distinctively. But I suppose, a lot of new young singers now will try to follow that path, that way, to educate. Somehow exiting. Like she said: Love life, the good and the bad... and this really seems to be a part of the good.
