The reason he's in the woods might be because it's not an official mv but a live clip so it doesn't have the aspect of other music videos

He always was a kinda woods person. His solo mv from 'sunrise' is also in the middle of the woods.
It's also just a live mv and not an official mv so he wanted to do that in his own comfortable way.
JayB isn't K-pop artist anymore he is an K-rnb artist signing, so yeah you won't see the typical K-pop stuff in his videos
Honestly he didn’t mention he isn’t/doesn’t want to be in Kpop anymore but he wants to try more genre as much as he can without limitation

Thanks for your reaction to Jay B's Switch It Up Live Clip feat. Sokodomo! This is Jay B's debut as a solo artist as he transitions from Kpop to Korean R&B. It feels familiar to those of us who follow his Soundcloud and it echoes GOT7 JB's solo track, Sunrise. There is a lot I love about this live clip. Live being the operative word. Jay B is known for his live vocal performances. It begins in daylight with the sun rising over his shoulder. The opening view of the trees and Jay B's voice is like a siren's song drawing us from the sky to where he is deep in nature; a close, intimate, and sensual space. Whispering sweet nothings as day turns to night. The cool blue waves meet the red heat of passion creating steam. Sokodomo brings the spice and leaves us breathing hard. It ends with a dance, bringing us back to the familiar. And there Jay B stands letting us know he is here to stay.

I'm sure you were told already that this is a live clip, they wanted to release a song snd announce his signing with the company at the same time but he is supposed to be releasing a full album in July or August and Yugyeom is supposed to be releasing his first full length album under AOMG this month, he's been working with producer Gray from AOMG, also I think they want to release as much music as they can from JayB because I think I heard he might be enlisting for his mandatory military service next year

They wanted to focus on Jay B and also alot of videos are being done outside due to Covid too to make things safer. Also it is a Lyric video which is sweet because it it is live. He is going to have an album soon. There will probably be MV's with his other songs.

I think forest goes with the vibe of the song. Something about foggy forests is always seen as mysterious & seductive & romantic. Which is kind of the vibe of Jay B’s music & song.
Here's the thing... it's not an official mv. And this was done super fast so he could keep his promise to us, the fans. To get us music asap. To get us HIS music fast.
It’s more of a live performance clip ! What you hear is live it was more of a song/ introduction to him signing to H1GHR music just like they did for Yugyeom with that dance cover of the Travis Scott song. He’ll be releasing videos and an EP this summer ! Also I don’t know if you peeped it but it’s JayB the leader of GOT7.

Thanks so much for reacting to this! :) I understand what you're saying but this is not an official MV, this is a live clip as in a live performance of the song. That is why you see him holding the mic, he was performing live there (you can even hear it in his breathing). That is also why this is a simple video but I'm sure that once he releases his first solo album he will have a proper MV for his title track. Even though...I have to say I quite like the idea/atmosphere for this video because the song and lyrics are very sexy and explicit so if you were to translate that into an MV where you see him taking a girl home from the club, like you suggested, that would be a bit too obvious and cliché. I like that we have a more subtle video that makes you focus on the song and performance. The absence of too much crazy things makes it more atmospheric and mysterious...and that makes it sexier for me...and it also relates more to Jay B's personality and vibe. ;)

This isn't a true MV, it's a live clip, so it's a performance.
Feel like you were very cautious talking about the video so just want to tell you that i think many of us would understand where that comment come from, and i guess the reason for that is because this is a live clip (live performance, not studio recorded) instead of an MV, not sure why they didnt do an MV tho. But a lot of H1ghr Music artists they dont really do it the kpop way, sometimes they just drop the music without an MV

Anyone know why got7 didn’t renew contract with jyp? They pretty famous though so unless theres internal conflict i don’t get it
There’s no an exactly reason to be honest, the boys wanted to do their own stuff, but like you said there might be some internal conflict with that, as a fan I can say the company wasn’t helping them to grow as a Individual artists and even as a group. As for now the 7 of them are working in their individual careers (acting, singing, producing... etc) an hopefully we would get a comeback this year or next one. Again as a fan I would say this was the best decision because the company didnt care about them or their Artistic opinions just cares about money.
Because they mistreat them and they are famous because of their own. They are more famous even after leaving JYPE. They don't need that company to grown theor success.
Jay b said he wanted to try something new, and that the company always had his back but now he wants to go solo and do it on his own, there was no conflict he just wanted to try his own stuff, and also probably wanted to move into a more hip hop setting? Similar reasons for the other members, just wanted to try something new. Definitely no conflicts, jyp even sent letters to some of the members wishing them good luck, eg jay b and youngjae
Not conflicts lol But the company just hasn't been really putting the group and the members' best interests at all lol No creative freedom, not allowed to even do a vlive, can't post much on social media, decline variety shows invitations, not letting the boys build on their solo careers as well, not letting Jackson promote his solo in Korea, not promoting both the group and the members properly........ the list goes on and on lol They just want to milk their popularity and fan's without trying to grow the group more when they still have much potential.
The boys just want to continue growing as artists so staying in jype just won't help at all so naturally they would want to leave

The reason why you wanted a different videos because you're thinking within American mindset. Koreans are not going to do that one because it could get banned in Korea if it's too sexual. Yes the song is a very sexy song but if it also had sexual imagery in the video it would not be able to be seen in Korea.
